Honest, Friendly Buying experience!
Honest, trustworthy, reliable car dealership. Never quite hard the experience here that I’ve had anywhere else. Was blown away by lack of pressure sales, very relaxed and laid back environment. My nan even commented on the friendliness of the staff here, especially John & Mark. Will recommend to all my friends and family!

Untrustworthy
I feel compelled to leave this review following what I consider to be extremely poor business practice. In a word: **untrustworthy**.
I live some 220 miles away in Cornwall and, for the past couple of weeks, we had maintained what I believed to be a positive and genuine dialogue regarding one of their vehicles. I had set my heart on the car and made it very clear that I was committed to buying it.
According to AutoTrader, the vehicle had already been advertised by them for more than 60 days. A date was agreed for me to make the 220 mile journey to view and, assuming all was as expected, purchase the vehicle.
Then, the afternoon before I was due to travel, I received a message informing me that they had sold it.
I fully appreciate that a motor dealer is in business to sell cars, and I have no issue with them doing so. What I do have an issue with is the way this was handled, particularly after two weeks of dialogue and having made my intentions and commitment to purchase absolutely clear.
A simple conversation or warning that another buyer was interested would have been the decent and professional thing to do. Instead, I was left with the distinct impression that my time, commitment and planned 440 mile round trip counted for very little.
Very disappointing. **Business is business, but so is treating prospective customers with honesty and respect.**

We are sorry that you were disappointed, particularly given the distance you were planning to travel.
We would, however, like to clarify the circumstances for anyone reading this review.
We had been discussing the vehicle with you and understood that you intended to travel to view it, with a potential purchase subject to you seeing and being satisfied with the car. At no point had a deposit been paid or the vehicle been formally reserved for you.
As a dealership, our vehicles remain available for sale until a reservation is made. We subsequently sold the vehicle to another customer, and we were therefore not in a position to prevent that sale based solely on an intention to purchase at a future date.
We appreciate that this was frustrating, particularly given the distance you were intending to travel, and we accept that you would have preferred us to contact you before the vehicle was sold, however we did notify you as soon as the car was sold, well in advance before you set out.
However, we do not believe it is fair to characterise our actions as “untrustworthy”. There was no agreement that the vehicle would be held for you, and we did not take a deposit or otherwise commit the vehicle to you.
We wish you well in finding the right car.
