Fantastic teaching to get children into the water comfortably and confidently. Would highly recommend water babies for all ages.

Amazing lessons, they are so patient with my little one who isn't a great lover of the water. Can not recommend them enough.

Taking my son to water babies was the best decision. The instructor is understanding of babies being unsure in the water, is patient and very supportive to parents who are finding it difficult to help their babies feel more secure in the pool. The explanations are clear and the activities are fun and we never leave the pool feeling like it was a bad or difficult lesson.

From the phone call I made to make enquiries to the lessons my daughter has, every experience with water babies and all of the staff have been great. There are regular emails updating me of what's going on and reminders of payments due as well as when my child is due her next swimming badge.
The swimming teacher is amazing with the children and gets them all fully engaged in the lessons.
I would highly recommend water babies.

Water Babies is a great place for your child to learn the basics of swimming. Our daughter really enjoys going and the website/app is very easy to use. Lindsey the teacher is fabulous as well!

My daughter loved her swimming lessons. We started at 10 weeks and she loves water now. The George green school location is great as it has a warm pool. The songs helped her recognise the actions and the instructors were great. Seeing her develop the safety skills was really encouraging. However the classes are so expensive for something we end up missing quite often due to illness now she's started nursery, me having to change my work pattern now I'm back to work, weekend travel, and her naptime so unfortunately we've had to cancel and look for other options.

Class teacher was amazing, pool maintenance not so much. My son was regularly getting sick after swimming, and after the last time got hospitalised with bronchitis. I know it’s from the chlorine levels in the pool because he is always at home and doesn’t go to nursery or meet other toddler often.

Overall the classes were always nice but it’s extremely frustrating that they don’t provide refund even at times where you have accumulated high number of catch up class due to your child’s sickness. What do you do when you have over 6 catch up lessons and have to pay for your regular classes each month and use those catch up sessions on top of your usual schedule?! I mean if you are a working parent using them all become impossible. I wouldn’t recommend after being with them for so long, be sure you’re committed.

We have had some absolutely fantastic teachers who have taught my 3 year old to swim independently. That said, our instructor has changed multiple times and there is a little inconsistency for the children in standards of teaching. Our children are ready now for independent swim lessons but waterbabies can not offer this at a competitive price.

I love the actual classes and the teachers, they are brilliant. However the consistency of the classes is terrible. They are continually cancelled and then our session times are changed frequently as well. It’s frustrating. We stay with them only because they sessions when they happen are brilliant

The lessons are good when she gets them but they are cancelled way too often and we have so many different teachers they lack consistency so my daughter doesn't want to go to her lesson and its hard to create consistency. Our lesson time got changed too with no options, which makes our day much harder with the other things we do.

Hannah is a lovely, friendly and knowledgeable instructor. Our little one loves him swimming lessons and Hannah. Great structure, content and progression in the lessons.

I enrolled my little one to Water Babies when she’s about 15 months, and it was the best decision. We have seen so much improvements in her confidence in the water. If you’re thinking of getting your child into a swimming lesson, make sure to consider choosing the Water Babies. The teachers are highly skilled and trained! She enjoys Carmel’s class so much and so, Ana’s class whenever she needs a catch up class. 😊Water Babies highly recommended.

Brilliant underwater photoshoot! Supportive and inclusive and 100% baby led. My swim teacher made sure my son waa ready for the photoshoot and the office ensured we were ready, that me and my son were comfortable and ready!

Thoroughly enjoyable swimming lessons, for both adult and Child. Very insightful and confidence building.

I have been taking my little one since she was 5 months old and we have loved it. Her confidence has really grown and the teachers are able to adapt to baby’s needs/ mood that day. We went on our first holiday and our baby was so happy and confident in the water. Thoroughly recommend

I would not recommend Water Babies based on my experience.

The classes from birth to 12 months were acceptable, largely because all babies were of a similar age and ability. However, once my daughter turned 12 months, we were moved into a class with significantly older toddlers who were far more advanced, making the sessions unsuitable and difficult for younger children to benefit from equally.

In addition, lessons were cancelled on a regular basis. This was not an isolated inconvenience — I recall a period last year where classes were cancelled for approximately three months. Despite the disruption, fees remained extremely high for what I would describe as a very average service.

The facilities and organisation were also disappointing. There were frequently not enough changing rooms available, resulting in parents having to rush and compete for space while trying to prevent their babies and toddlers from becoming cold after lessons. Parking was also consistently inadequate, meaning I often had to arrive excessively early simply to secure a space.

Despite all of these ongoing issues, I remained loyal to Water Babies, continued paying on time, and never formally complained. Unfortunately, that loyalty was not reciprocated when my family experienced financial hardship.

My husband was recently made redundant, and I contacted Water Babies immediately to cancel my membership as my part-time income alone does not come close to covering our household expenses. I politely requested that, on compassionate grounds, they waive their cancellation policy requiring payment for the whole of the following month. I even offered to provide evidence of my husband’s redundancy. I was more than willing to pay for the remainder of the current month, but requiring an additional full month’s payment under these circumstances felt entirely unreasonable.

I was extremely disappointed to be told that no exception would be made. Given my loyalty as a long-standing customer — despite repeated cancellations, poor organisation, limited facilities, and premium pricing — the complete lack of compassion or flexibility was both upsetting and frustrating.

Overall, I do not feel Water Babies offers value for money, nor do they appear to prioritise customer care when families are facing genuine difficulties. I would strongly advise others to carefully consider alternative swim schools before committing.

Excellent teaching and friendly environment. Our child has gone from 4 months old and is now nearly 3. He has an amazing water confidence, growing understanding of safety and total love for swimming!

We’ve had such a great experience with Water Babies and would highly recommend it. The classes are fun, well organised and have really helped build my baby’s confidence in the water.

Our instructor has been amazing, she’s so friendly, patient and encouraging, creating such a welcoming atmosphere for both babies and parents. It’s become one of our favourite activities each week and such a lovely bonding experience.

Ronan loves his swimming classes, he has became so confident in the water in such a short time thanks to Mairi. She has been amazing and such a lovely person. The skills he has learned so far are great.
