The solicitor completely failed to represent me and act on my behalf re the Police continuing to lie, suppress evidence and withhold information in relation to historic childhood abuse that was suffered by me - as well doing exactly the same concerning evidence of continued Police efforts to bully, intimidate and abuse the victim of a very serious crime. I was clearly just being milked for as much Legal Aid money as he could get, with zero thought for the extreme psychological harm and renewed trauma that I suffered as a result of his failures. He even failed to pick up on numerous breaches of the Victims Code by the Police- and on top of that the firm persistently ignored the fact that I was attempting to formally complain. Don't bother. Watson Woodhouse don't care about their clients. They just want to get their hands on as much Legal Aid money as possible for the minimum amount of work. How they harm and damage their clients in the process is immaterial to them; and the more vulnerable those clients are the better from their point of view, because they are easier to exploit. It's as simple as that.
Re your reply: I've told you everything that you need to know.

Just deal with it and leave me alone to try and recover from the damage that you caused by prioritising getting your grubby little mitts on Legal Aid money over client welfare.

And while we're on the subject, allowing your junior solicitors to cut their teeth on vulnerable clients who have suffered , and are suffering, extensive abuse and who are deeply traumatised as a result, is NOT responsible (or ethical) behaviour. People in that situation are not just objects for you to exploit!

I have visited the borough office numerous times in a third party scenario. Every time i have visited it has been a pleasant experience made more so by the wonderful lady on reception wendy! I’ll be leaving my current role shortly so will no longer need to attend, but i wanted to thank wendy for her kindness shown at every visit, youre an absolute asset to watson/woodhouse

Shocking experience with what’s on Woodhouse they don’t care they just get the money and do a runner

Some sensitive case they took on knowing full well they couldn’t represent me in time claimed legal aid and then took till after I needed advice to clear eligibility totally pointless waste of time

When you speak with admin it like speaking to council estate smack heads only good for licking the envelopes in the post room with attitudes of entitled brats

They claim to have no managers for admin post room or reception to complain about staff customer service and let the staff talk to clients like scum laughing at them belittling them and pass you from pillow to post between staff like a game

And hound you for other peoples bank details if they have the same name make you jump through hoops to prove they ain’t your accounts and blame the legal aid requirements for all bank accounts god forbid you move your money round

We have had a great service from Watson and Woodhouse.
Michelle Turner and Leah Plews were both professional, caring and very supportive throughout a very stressful time.

Fantastic service regarding a housing issue they helped me from day one to appeal a dispute and thanks to a lady called Lizzie I won the appeal. If any one is in need off a 5* service I highly recommend you contact this team.

Horrendous Experience

My son needed support with a dispute matter. Advised by WW that they could deal with this. Got to court, solicitor changed his mind about the case, plus he forgot most of the information. Did not fairly represent my son in court. Son is left distraught by ineffective and appalling representation.

Take the money and do the bare minimum. Totally unprepared.

Please avoid at all costs. If you do engage please be prepared for unacceptable service.

Wish we had read previous reviews. In terms of a potential response from WW inviting us to contact them, the damage has already been done and is having a catastrophic impact on my son and family.

If I could put a 0 I would.
Went to see these solicitors in 2022 in the hope for help over a Damp issues that my landlord wouldn't do anything about.
I had Damp in bedroom kitchen bathroom and other places

They promised they sort it said I had a case and said we would get them in court
Never known a solicitor to drag there heals loose paperwork and then decide sorry we can do anything because there's no Number 1 Hazards although there was at the time.
They hung on that long that the landlord got work done
I wanted him in court and to pay be compensation for the jobs he never done.
But this company decided to take there time get paid Legal Aid for jobs I was doing..

Had they pulled there finger out got on with the work faster they would have been in court for issues addressed

Please don't use this Firm...they lie....take your money...work snail pace only to tell you nothing can be done.

They work so calm under pressure and meet all deadlines. In the words of Barnet Council, they put a really good case forward... they settled the matter straight away without having to go to judicial review ... really saved my life and my daughters .... so thank you Catherine, amazing work. (:

Best avoid Watson Woodhouse solicitors. Not trustworthy, with my 64 years experience behind me I smell a rat. IMHO. A most unpleasant experience. . Enquired for some legal support for a tenancy housing issue, for my disabled son. We need legal aid.
The call was taken by someone who seemed to be having trouble speaking? Mumbling and with some odd undefined accent. Hence I was kept on the telephone, repeating for much longer than would be necessary. Eventually put through to someone on the legal team, who was not very knowledgeable, she did not listen and was rude and abrupt. Put me off.

Paul Henderson treated my personal injury claim with the utmost care and professionalism. He explained the process at every stage and kept me well informed of any new developments. I have no hesitation in recommending his services in any personal injury cases.

Experience since 2021 to present.

Defence was poor throughout trial, DNA and forensic evidence was not sought which would have cleared the defendants name, but the solicitor said “we action from the lead of our client.” So basically because the defendant they were ‘meant’ to be supporting didn’t tell them how to do their jobs properly, they didn’t request this. (What happened to innoncent until proven guilty)
They didn’t challenge much regarding the police failings of gathering their own evidence, there for evidence that was put forward from complainant could have been falsified or tampered with. (CPS also admitted in court they didn’t follow proper procedures)
Within the court room, the professionals from all parties were seen to be laughing and joking whilst waiting, in front of defendant and family in the public gallery. This made them feel uncomfortable and not supported.
No advice or support to explain next steps were given at any point unless asked for a meeting/ discussion by family or the defendant.
On paperwork they got dates wrong of when defendant was found guilty and length of the trial. They didnt have the correct date when discussing sentencing hearing.
They don’t respond to emails despite family requesting confirmation of emails sent to them. Questions were asked to see what family and friends could support with to support sentencing hearing and no response was received and they don’t seem to be bothered or care.
Family had to call and request for them to make contact with the defendant when they were in prison to discuss next steps as defendant had no idea what to expect or what what the next steps of the process was and what family/friends could do to support the sentencing hearing. The barrister said the video call was ‘pointless’ and he was unsure as to why it was requested as he felt there was nothing more they can do and didn’t explain anything about the process of probation etc and what could help the sentencing hearing.
No care was shown through the one phone call made by the solicitor to the partner of the defendant and she came across very rude, insensitive and unsupportive of the defendant and was not helpful at all.
The support expected was to build and fight the defendants case and provide guidance and advice and support through the process, this has been a shambles from the beginning and advice and guidance has been very contradictory over the time frame of the process. It appears they just wanted to do the bare minimal and didn’t take into consideration the anxieties of this new experience on the defendant and the family and didn’t provide any support or reassurance of how the defence could be supported.
Now an innocent person is being sentenced to a crime they didn’t commit and if professionals involved such as this firm and CPS did their jobs adequately, the defendant wouldn’t be in prison.

Another corrupt firm/system that has lead to innocent people suffering.
Would not recommend at all!!
