I was browsing Facebook when I came across a post purportedly representing Jake Claver warning cryptocurrency holders that their funds would not be safe unless they were moved into a "Web3 Ledger". The posts in this matter were not found to be from Jake Claver; however, suspects were using Jake Claver's identity and likeness as part of their scheme. I began communicating with the suspects via Facebook Messenger and then via text messaging at phone number 1-585-370-5549. The suspects provided screenshots and directions directing me to establish a new cryptocurrency wallet through Exodus wallet. When I moved my funds to the new wallet, they were immediately drained and sent to a wallet not in my control. The suspects directed me to a website, web3ledger.com, where I was able to see my funds as a balance. When I attempted to withdraw my funds from the website, no transactions would complete. I lost a total of $55,661.06 in cryptocurrency. Luckily, Fiscop Advisor was able to trace the crypto to a Bybit exchange wallet having active KYC information. This led to us getting hold of the suspect, and he made a refund
