We Buy Any Car, like any reputable buyer, will never quote a firm price before being able to inspect the vehicle ourselves. Our online valuation tool is based off the information supplied to us by our customers and is for informational purposes only. That is disclosed in our disclaimers on our website and in emails you receive about your valuation.

Our team is trained to never quote a price whether that be maximum or minimum because we need to verify the condition of a vehicle by performing a physical appraisal. Your experience sounds outside the norm, and not typical of a standard webuyanycar.com interaction.

We record all calls for quality and training purposes and would be happy to pull the recordings and even share them with you. If our team set improper expectations, we will gladly make that right. We are not in the business of cheating our customers and wouldn’t have earned a 4.9 rating from almost 70,000 customers if that was our aim.

I see from the notes our Area Manager has already tried to reach out to you to address your concerns but was met with yelling and profanity despite our best efforts to get to the root of the problem. We remain committed to tackling these issues and hope we can have a constructive conversation and review the recordings and your experience together.

This could not be further from the truth. As you know from visiting our East Brunswick location for a no-obligation appraisal, we invite all our customers to submit a review regardless of whether they chose to sell their vehicle or not. Paying for fake reviews is illegal and immoral and is something we have never even had the need to consider.

Having bought almost half a million cars, we take pride in having earned over 100,000 reviews on Trustpilot and Google combined with an average 4.9 out of 5-star rating. It makes us the highest rated dealer in the country for customer satisfaction, and we worked hard to earn that by giving customers great service. We freely admit we're not perfect and there are negative, as well as positive reviews on Google and Trustpilot. When you see "Verified" against a Trustpilot review, this tells you the review came from a genuine customer and can be fully audited end-to-end.

We are aware of your dissatisfaction and have made every effort to try and find some middle ground with you. We're sorry we have been unable to give you a more positive outcome and I will have a senior leader reach out to you right away.

When we saw your truck, it was not in the condition you described it online. The truck had extensive modifications which may be popular with enthusiasts but make this a hard sale on the open market. The other concern, as we explained previously, were multiple codes which had recently been overridden and accident history on the truck.

Hi Susan,

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback about your appointment. It is not our intention to make any of our customers feel taken advantage of. If that’s the impression we gave you, we do apologize and want to address your concerns.

Our online valuation tool is great for getting an idea of what your vehicle is worth, but it’s based off the information provided by our customers. It is not a firm offer from We Buy Any Car. The online estimate you received for the 2019 Subaru Impreza was based on the disclosure that the vehicle would run and drive and had no damage or mechanical issues.

Unfortunately, when our mobile buyer arrived and had the chance to inspect the vehicle, the Subaru would not stay running and had visible hail damage. Our pricing is always based on vehicle condition, and we are unable to take a customer’s personal circumstances into account when making our firm offer. We must price a vehicle based on its current condition during the time of the appointment.

We never pressure our customers to sell and want everyone to have a positive outcome. Since we just purchased the vehicle, we would be happy to reverse the deal and give the vehicle back.
