Misleading and Deceptive Marketing Experience

My experience with Webxplore Technologies raises serious concerns about the deceptive way the company appears to market its services.

It started when I received an unsolicited marketing email from someone identifying himself only as “Kapil,” using a Gmail address rather than a Webxplore Technologies company email address. The subject line was simply “share price?” and the message read:

“Hello Sir/Ma’am, Looking for affordable website development? If Yes, Can I share my prices? Kapil.”

Six days later, “Kapil” followed up with:

“Waiting for your response — If yes?”

Almost a month later, I received another email from the same sender asking:

“If Yes or No?”

I finally replied, “Sure.”

The very next day, however, I did not hear from Kapil. Instead, I received an email from someone named Arpit, who suddenly introduced Webxplore Technologies and sent me a sales pitch about the company.

This was the first time Webxplore Technologies had been identified to me. Kapil's original emails never disclosed the company he supposedly represented, nor did he tell me that someone else from Webxplore Technologies would be contacting me.

I told Arpit that I would only communicate with Kapil, since Kapil was the person who had repeatedly contacted me and solicited my response.

Arpit replied:

“Hello, I understand. I will have Kapil reach out to you directly to continue the conversation. Thanks, Arpit Singhal.”

Kapil never contacted me.

When I later asked Arpit why Kapil had not responded, instead of simply having Kapil reply as promised, Arpit wrote:

“Why do you need a reply only from him? He is one of our colleagues. Since I am responding to your query from our official email address, why can’t you communicate with me regarding your website updation requirements?”

That response only increased my concerns.

If Kapil is a real employee or colleague who contacted me repeatedly for nearly a month, why was it apparently so difficult for him to send a simple reply after I specifically requested to communicate with him? Why did Arpit first say that Kapil would contact me directly and then question why I wanted to hear from Kapil at all?

I cannot prove from this exchange that “Kapil” does not exist, but the circumstances certainly gave me the impression that the original identity may have been used simply to generate a response before transferring the lead to Webxplore Technologies.

I consider that kind of marketing misleading and deceptive. A legitimate sales solicitation should identify who is contacting you, what company they represent, and why they are contacting you from the beginning — not reveal the company's identity only after the recipient finally responds.

My inbox receives many nearly identical messages using the same tactic: vague subject lines, generic Gmail accounts, repeated one-line follow-ups, and only after someone responds does an entirely different person or company appear.

Based on my experience, I would not do business with Webxplore Technologies. Trust begins with the very first contact, and this interaction gave me no confidence in the company's marketing practices or transparency.

Spam SEO Company

They are SEO spammers. They use another email domain (websollutions.com) for their initial contact (which is dodgy in itself...).

Out of their five 'areas of concern' for my site, four were completely wrong and one was meaningless.

I'm a professional web designer/developer, with nearly 20 years web experience. I reply to SEO spammers to see what things they 'offer' and so I can warn others about them.
