Every author I talked to said the hardest part wasn't writing, it was getting people to actually find your book. I believed them. Western Publishing handled the marketing side and within three weeks I was getting reviews from people I had never heard of, in states I've never visited. That kind of reach on my own would have taken me years to figure out.
Spent weeks trying to figure out self publishing on my own before I gave up and reached out Western Publishing. The platform requirements, the formatting specs, the ISBN process, the distribution setup every time I solved one thing another question appeared. Handed it over and the whole process moved faster than I expected. They handled the formatting, got it onto Amazon and the other major platforms, and kept me updated without me having to chase anyone. The day it went live a colleague who knew I'd been working on it for years sent me a screenshot of the listing like it was news. It was. Three years of "I'II figure it out eventually" sorted in weeks.
Sent over what I thought was a finished manuscript.
