I have just returned from a stay at Russ and Lucy’s chalet in Peisey after an exceptional week. This was my first ski holiday, to celebrate a 60th Birthday and the experience exceeded all expectations. Russ’ communication prior to the trip was excellent, he responded promptly, often the same day, and provided clear, detailed answers to all of my questions.
The in chalet dining was outstanding. Their chef, Tod, delivered superb meals every evening, each one deserving a 10/10. Although Friday is the team’s day off, Russ went out of his way to recommend a local restaurant and even arranged the booking on our behalf.
The ski resort itself was fantastic. Our group of 16 included skiers of all abilities, and the resort offered an ideal variety of slopes to suit everyone. My fiancé and I attended the ESF ski school from Monday to Friday and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Coming home to the hot tub was perfect after a long day skiing.
We hired our equipment from SkiDoc, whose service was exceptional. They delivered our skis, boots, and helmets directly to the chalet boot room and ensured everything fit properly. Any minor issues that arose during the week were addressed immediately and professionally.
Overall, I would highly recommend Russ and Lucy’s chalet. The combination of excellent service, great food, and a brilliant resort made for a truly memorable first ski holiday and I am already keen to return to celebrate my 30th Birthday in 2027.

Was a single traveller and Russ kept in touch throughout the booking and travel to the chalet where Lucy picked me up from Landry. Excellent service throughout.

A group of us spent a week with Russ & Lucy in January this year, the location is fab for getting onto he slopes, the Chalet has a cosy atmosphere, excellent food and helpful, friendly staff, we will be booking again for sure.

Spent a great week skiing there. Russ, Lucy and the staff made us feel really welcome and couldn’t help enough. Food was exceptional and the accommodation was really cosy. Would definitely recommend a stay there. Looking forward to returning next year.

It is amazing value to money and the chef Todd and helper Lucie this year did and amazing job of looking after us along with other guests and the food in the evening is amazing and not for getting the porridge in the morning made by Russ sets you up for a great days skiing
There is plenty of space for couples and families or if you are on your own and everyone gets on so well and sharing the exploration of the day over dinner
Location is spot on, a short lobster pot ride away from Peisey-Vallandry and the great skiing area of Les Arcs and short cable car to Le Plagne
I will be back next year and I would recommend White Stripe Mountain Lodge as a place to relax and wind down at the end of a days skinning either in the hot tub or sauna

I stayed here in January and had a really good week. It felt relaxed and easy from the start. Russ and Lucy were a big part of that. They were around when you needed them, and went out of their way to make things simple, whether that was lifts to the slopes or just making sure everyone was sorted at the end of the day.

The chalet itself is comfortable. There’s plenty of shared space to sit around, chat and unwind in the evenings, and the rooms are warm with modern bathrooms. The food was really good, with proper, filling meals each evening as well as a cake when you get back in the afternoon.

Getting to the lifts was straightforward. It’s a short walk but if you don’t fancy carrying kit, Russ and Lucy are happy to give lifts. Location-wise it’s spot on, being close to the Vanoise Express cable car, so it’s easy to head over to La Plagne, or just stay in Les Arcs.

I travelled by train from London. The stop at Landry is less than 10 minutes from the chalet, which made the whole trip feel straightforward.

All in all, it was a really enjoyable, no-fuss stay and I’d happily go back.

We booked this chalet for the first week of Jan 26 and we couldn't have asked for anything more. The chalet was selected based on everything it had to offer as a catered chalet (like most catered chalets) but also due to the competitiveness of the pricing, which for us as a family of 3, was perhaps around 30% cheaper as the closest comparison.

Our holiday and stay at the chalet was fantastic. We couldn't have asked for anything more (other than the snow coming at the beginning of the week 🙂), the chalet was spacious and homely for the number of guest that were staying, the overall welcome and daily support from the owners and hosts was fab, the food was delicious and of great quality and the overall ambience was homely and friendly. Maybe we were lucky, but It was great to have such other welcoming and friendly guests staying there too.

We had a wonderful holiday and will certainly hope to book again with you soon.

Onze algehele conclusie is dat de locatie een goede kwaliteit/prijs verhouding heeft en in het middensegment zit. Unieke locatie in het midden van Les Arcs en La Plagne ski gebied maar wel met een korte transfer per auto en lobster lift. Er zijn relatief weinig reviews want Ross had verteld dat deze waren verdwenen.Wij verbleven in eerste week van het skiseizoen van 13-20 december 2025. De chalet ligt in Peisey, een klein plaatsje met beperkte mogelijkheden maar in het midden van het uigebreide Paradiski gebied. Wij vonden de instructies om de chalet te vinden wat beperkt en er staat ook geen bord met naam aanduiding voor de chalet. Dit lijkt ons lastig als je in het donker komt aanrijden. Voor een meer uitgebreidere selectie van winkels en restaurants moet je 10 minuten rijden naar Vallandry. De chalet ligt op 1 minuut rijden van de Lonzagnet lift en je wordt gebracht en opgehaald. Dit is een open stand-up (lobster) lift die je in 4 minuten brengt naar de Vanoise (voor skiën in La Pagne) of Peisey lift (voor skiën in Les Arcs). Er is dus geen ski-in of ski-out maar in 20 minuten sta je op Les Arcs skihelling of in 30 minuten in La Plagne. Ross en Lucy zijn gastvrij. Er was een chef in de keuken en nog een ander staflid. De algemene ruime bestaat uit een zithoek bij de openhaard voor ongeveer 10 mensen, een leeshoek voor 3 personen en een lange tafel voor 20 personen. Hier wordt ook het ontbijt en diner aan geserveerd. Wij hadden een twee en vier-persoons kamer. De kamers waren ruim met kastruimte voor kleding. Iedere kamer had een gerenoveerde verwarmde badkamer. In de ochtend vanaf 6:30AM komt er wel geluid uit de keuken voor de bereiding van het ontbijt. Het ontbijt was basic. Tegen betaling van €2 wordt een baguette gegeven die je kan smeren voor eigen lunch. Avondeten bestaat uit drie gangen, was een goede kwaliteit en gevarieerd gedurende de week. Er wordt redelijke wijn geschonken. Er waren in onze week in totaal 6 personen en wij hadden alle ruimte maar bij een 100% bezetting is de algemene ruimte wat beperkt voor een dergelijke groep. Er is een aparte ruimte voor de ski’s en skischoenen inclusief een droger voor de skischoenen. Er is een inpandige sauna voor circa 6 personen maar geen rustruimte om af te koelen tenzij je naar buiten wil lopen. Op het terras staat een hot tub voor max 4 personen. Er is beperkte parkeergelegenheid direct met de chalet maar 5 minuten lopen is een publieke parkeerplaats. De ski passen werden door de chalet met een korting gekocht. De betaling kan op een Euro-bankrekening in Brussel of GBP-bankrekening in Londen.
