Quality in product and customer service seriously problematic

We placed an order with your Tuggerah branch back in November last year for a wood frame bi-fold window, which cost us over $3k. The choosing of the window for our bathroom renovation was a big deal, the window was the feature and centre piece of the space. Our builder supported us in making the order with wideline and arranging delivery, but it was not smooth sailing after that.

The delivery ended up in Newcastle for some reason, and then when it was delivered to us it was simply dumped outside the front door without so much as a knock on the door. But that was just the beginning. The window was obviously built badly, it had a large long crack through the base of the frame, which was clearly filled with some putty before it arrived but didn’t look good or do the job. It also had incorrectly drilled holes on either side of the frame which left random holes in it. Much of the edging was done with blunt tools and there are lots of tear-out and splintered wood along with several other problems including that the wood is still weeping sap almost 4 months later.

Our builder has raised this issue with his contact multiple times and it has been seen by a few of their staff, but so far no one is taking this seriously and we have heard nothing but negative comments from the Wideline team. Does Wideline not care about the quality of their products? Do they not want to ensure every item produced represents the business well in the eyes of the customer? I think not.

After numerous emails both prior to and following the Christmas period, requesting a formal response, Wideline has once again failed to respond at all. This continued silence only reinforces the company’s lack of concern for its customers and complete absence of accountability.
Wideline repeatedly failed to honour confirmed delivery dates. The delivery was originally scheduled for 26 November 2025, then changed multiple times (4 December, then 12 December), often at the last minute and without any delivery window provided. Each change forced me, as the paying customer, to cancel appointments and rearrange my schedule.
The security screen door installation on 15 December was also mishandled. I waited all day with no communication or confirmed arrival time. When I questioned the overall delivery and installation process, I was told by the builder carrying out the installation that this was simply “how things work.”
I sent three separate emails formally raising these concerns and received zero response — not even an acknowledgment. I took time off work, inconvenienced tenants, and repeatedly adjusted my commitments, while Wideline demonstrated no accountability, no respect for the customer’s time, and no genuine effort to resolve the issue.
This was not a one-off delay. It reflects systemic mismanagement, poor communication, and substandard customer service. Based on my experience, Wideline’s delivery coordination is unacceptable. Proceed with caution.

Don't buy from Wideline

Don't buy from Wideline. My son has had a diabolical experience with this company begining January 2024 and up to now April 2025. They demanded full payment up front before starting the job and then were weeks and weeks late with the delivery. None of the windows and doors could be even taken of the truck because they were all faulty. They were all re-delivered again, late, and nothing had changed so they went back again. When he finally received them several had to be returned again because of faults. More faults were found which the company had to fix on site and still left damaged frames. The front door had to go back for repairs and took weeks to be returned. When the protective film was removed from the glass it was found to be scratched in three places and Wideline refuses to fix it saying that it is too late.
His whole job was delayed by 3 months because of Wideline's incompetency costing him three month rent. This company is a disgrace.

Stay Away From This Company

In my opinion one of the worst for product quality, sales and service experiences.

Delivery: about 2 weeks late, it took five deliveries to deliver two stacking doors, delivered broken doors, stealth deliveries- leaving door components leaning up against a tip or in the front yard instead of at the install site. Product also did not look like the product we purchased in the showroom and Wideline refused to rectify the issue.

Service: door install resulted in sliding doors that would not slide. In our attempts to get service, it seemed like the Wideline folks we dealt with made it a sport to inconvenience the customer.
