Awful company. Awful people. Went to them and laid out the issues with my messy divorce and was reassured that it wasnt an issue. 6months later parted after they achieved nothing. Yet had to stump up over £10k in fees.
Highlights include being told the solicitor I had been dealing was no longer qualified to represent me then being told be the replacement that I would have to pay them to bring new person "up to speed" on the case. Complaint to Legal Ombudsman is in process.
And being told all work would stop unless bills were paid and then receiving 2 £3000 bills for what amounted to doing nothing.
Only cared that bills were paid NOW!
AVOID or it will cost.

Wilson Browne Solicitors were superb right from the get-go. Throughout my sale and purchase of my homes they were on the ball displaying great communication and patience and all done in such a professional manner. I would not hesitate in recommending Wilson Browne i will certainly be using them again in the future.

I initially had a phonecall consultation with Becky Wesson last year. I decided to go ahead due to the high level of professionalism and understanding. Until this date, her quality of work, emails, explanations, time scales are fab! I feel that I made a great decision in going ahead with Becky. She's an absolute attribute to the firm. I had what should've been a fairly straightforward transaction that ran on for years. I was charged what I believe to be very high rates for a paralegal, not a solicitor. Bill ended being 10's of 1000s - would not recommend.

When I started writing Trustpilot reviews I decided never to leave a 1 star review. However in the case of Wilson Browne, I really do have to make an exception!
What should have been a simple probate case turned out to be rather farcical. I dealt with three different "fee earners" and three different offices. This resulted in numerous mistakes and delays - all perfectly avoidable if they were better organised. I did not receive a proper itemised bill and I am sure I paid for work that had been duplicated or perhaps even triplicated. I paid good money for a farcical haphazard service.
True to form there was a delay in responding to my formal complaint and the issues I raised were not properly addressed. The firm's complaints procedure is not as robust as they claim. Vicki Pearce, who dealt with my complaint needs to be taught how best to treat clients.
I received an estimate for conveyancing and it was double the price of other providers.
I would not recommend.

They dithered around for months not providing information repeatedly requested from them by our own solicitors, would not answer the phone or email to anyone and had absolutely no sense of urgency when their own dalliance led to a risk of us not buying the property (which is still up in the air at time of writing) - completely unprofessional, uncommunicative and do not care about their clients.

Do not use under any circumstances, as they are worse than useless.

I found them to be very incompetent and had to keep repeating myself to different people. Everyone seems to be new or part time, was the term often. Not a trusted advisor ..... be warned. In this case "you get what you pay for" seemed to have the opposite effect..... shop around definitely (This was Kettering Office)

They lacked the personal service. Every time I called in I had repeat myself constantly as though a reset and the info that I had relayed wasn't captured. Kind of left hand right hand didn't understand my case enough .

We engaged the conveyancing services of Wilson Browne Solicitors at their Leicester Office. First class service, specifically Wendy Cooper. She was fantastic, one of the best conveyancing solicitors I’ve ever used. In fact probably the best, she was organised, communicative, tenacious and focussed. The best experience from a conveyancer perspective. If you are selling or buying, or both, I would not hesitate for a moment in recommending them, I will be using their services again in the future. Thank you Wendy specifically for a professional, easy service to engage with.

Dreadful solicitors for a divorce, i am the respondent and my solicitor has had my money to pay to their client for months and they just don't respond at all. Not acting in anyone's best interest, money grabbing as are paid a fee monthly and currently breaching a court order. I would avoid at all costs.

Wouldn’t touch them even if was paid to, hopefully 1 day they go out of business. Praying that they do.

Instructed the solicitors on a matter of Tolata law. They requested a £1000 payment upfront. After the hearing, of which I sohlud of been represented by a letter from them, the judge dismissed it, I lost the case and was charged a further TWO THOUSAND POUNDS for nothing. At the same time, the company told me they didn't specialise in this field, even though in thr beginning they took the case . I could go further into explaining, however, I won't, as I am soo disgusted of the non existent service I received from Wilson Browne Northampton. I would never recommend them to anybody. The charges in my belief were made up, and I was bombarded with an email longer than War and Peace!! As an explanation of the charges. I was never kept up to date of these!! Awful company 😪

The team at the Higham Ferrers office were very supportive during the sale of my late fathers property. All queries were answered quickly & the whole process was dealt with efficiently.

In 2018 my now late wife and I decided to update our wills as the government brought in a scheme to allow a tax free threshold if you leave your home to your children on your demise.
There was an offer on at the time for free will writing [which entails a gift to the cancer charity on death].
We expected to get what it says on the tin,ie,a new will to incorporate the new tax allowance on our death,but what we received was the old will with a codicil for which we were wrongly charged [more about this later]
In the old will there was a very important clause which is the Discretionary Trust which wasn`t pointed out to us by the solicitor at that time,had it been I would have looked into it and asked her to re-write the will without this clause.Subsequently two other solictors from this practice later agreed that this omission should have been pointed out.
On the death of my wife January 2025 I went to pick up her will and was told that there was something that needed my consideration ref. the Discretionary Trust and now because of their incompetence they asked me for a further £900! Later I went to another well known practice who charged me £720 .
Now back to the codicil,how many other clients were charged wrongly for codicil`s during this period of free will writing but more importantly why didn`t their internal financial department notice this clanger at the time!
I was later sent a form to apply for the refund of the codicil and ticked the box for a three day BAC`S payment and took the form to their practice on the 7th March 25,eight days later I complained to one of the partners of this department that I was still awaiting payment, she replied that the paralegal had been on holiday and had only returned the previous day.
Now after their shabby treatment would it not have courteous of the partner to of informed me during this time that the payment would be delayed.I later received payment on the 25th March 2025 [15 days late].
In conclusion I would say to anyone thinking of using W.B.for will writing to consider my ordeal on losing a loved one after 55 years you don`t want the hassle that I`ve been through.

Very poor standards of litigation. Completely focused on profits over people.

Sadly, I had the misfortune of dealing with their Kettering office after my grandmother passed away. I'd been trying to help my mother with her inheritance as she is living abroad and isn't tech-literate. I already know the case had been ongoing for nearly 2 years before I got involved and it's neither complicated nor a lot of money. We had a trainee solicitor (CB) assigned to the case and they only made matters worse. She constantly ignored emails and caused further delays by avoiding basic questions. Even when I had copied in their management to try and speed things up, they didn't care to reply either. I had flown out to see my mother over Christmas to try and get this resolved, but sadly they never bothered to get back to me.

According to their website CB "prides herself in providing high levels of client care by being attentive, patient, and understanding." but these are just hollow words and don't reflect how she is as a professional. I can only hope she uses this as a learning curve and decides to be a better solicitor in the future.

The worst part of it all, almost all of the inheritance has been taken up by their greedy fees leaving almost nothing for the family.

Wilson Browne (Vicki Pearce) were executors for my late mother's Estate. There were many delays and several mistakes made. Vicki Pearce initially tried to keep quiet about the mistakes and only admitted to them after I challenged her.
She lied to me about the firm's records and the actions she was taking. The firms internal complaints procedure was pathetic, with the complaint being 'investigated' by somebody who had been involved in the subject of the complaint.
Their mistakes left me around £7000 out of pocket.
The Legal Ombudsman did find that their service had been poor, but only gave them a minor slap on the wrist.

Unfortunately my experience was extremely negative. The solicitor we used refuse to take our calls stop emailing and was just not completing her job. The whole process was unnecessarily stressful. This was five years ago we have now discovered after this poor service. The job was not even completed properly and the wrong address was put on the deeds of the property. I have since used another solicitor to make a similar transaction and found it to be simple and seamless. Please do not make the same mistake as us. Do not use Wilson Brown Solicitors Wellingborough

Absolute waste of time for divorce. Ended up costing me thousands for a relatively amicable divorce. Should have done the divorce online directly and used a mediator. Heat of the moment decision has cost me hugely. My advice. Think twice before using Wilson Browne
