I started investing with Winecap (London) a couple of years ago, when they were still known as Westgarth Wines, thinking that I would continue to do so for years. My financial priorities changed in 2025, so I alerted them that I need to liquidate my holdings (about GBP 16-18K), yet I was willing to wait a while because I know an immediate sell would reduce the selling price. To my horror I discovered that Winecap was not able to sell my wine EVEN AT THE COST PRICE I paid for it a couple of years ago. Now I would understand if this was wine I bought a year ago - wine is meant to have a few years to allow for value appreciation. But after a couple of years, AND I STILL CAN'T EVEN MATCH WHAT I INVESTED? The pipedream of thinking that wine is a good investment is just that - an unrealistic expectation. And there I am - MONTHS later, and not even 50% of my collection is sold. Basically, think twice before investing with WINECAP - it is better to leave your money in the bank at a couple of % of interest - there it will at least grow
