Don’t go if you value your dogs safety
This is a great concept, but it is badly run. On both of our visits, our dog was attacked by large, out of control dogs.
Last year, our dog was attacked by two American Bulldogs. We left, hoping it was an isolated incident.
Today, within two minutes of arriving, our dog was attacked by a Husky and a huge Mastiff XL Bully type dog. Trying to escape, he ran into the deep water where both dogs continued attacking him. Had I not reached him within seconds, I genuinely believe he could have drowned.
I had to physically fight the dogs off and carry my dog to safety. The Mastiff XL Bully type dog then jumped at me, scratched me and repeatedly tried to bite my dog while I was holding him. The owners were nowhere to be seen. Another customer came to help. The staff did nothing.
We left after less than five minutes. Instead of apologising, checking whether my dog or I had been injured, or dealing with the aggressive dogs, the staff tried to persuade us to stay. The owners of the attacking dogs were not spoken to, their dogs were not removed or even put on leads, and we were not even offered a refund.
After two serious attacks on two separate visits, I cannot believe these are isolated incidents. Until this place starts taking responsibility for aggressive dogs and the safety of its customers, I cannot recommend it, especially if you have a small or medium-sized dog.
