licensing issues
I purchased this theme and encountered an issue regarding font licensing. I was contacted by a company called Fontradar, requesting a payment of $240 for using a font that is not free. Unfortunately, the theme author chose to incorporate a licensed font, which has led to this issue.
When I reached out to the author for clarification, they denied using any licensed font and suggested that I am responsible for acquiring any necessary licenses. However, upon further inspection of the files I downloaded, it appears that the font used is indeed a licensed one.
I am considering taking legal action, such as filing a small claims court case against the author. In the meantime, I have contacted ThemeForest to inquire about the situation and await their response.
This is an unfortunate situation, and I would not recommend thier themes to others. As it's concerning to think there may be other potential licensing issues, whether with the codes, fonts or the images included in the theme.
