Extremely Poor Service – Avoid This Company
I’ve had an absolutely terrible experience with 1stChoice Company Formations. Their service quality is shockingly poor.
My services were allowed to expire even though they should have renewed automatically. I never requested cancellation, yet they let everything lapse without warning. When I tried to renew through their website, the system failed repeatedly, giving errors every time I logged in. Instead of helping, they sent me a generic email telling me to log in again,
I reached out asking them to renew my services manually, but they completely ignored my request.
This has wasted my time, and caused unnecessary stress. A company that claims to provide “excellent customer service” but cannot handle basic renewals or support requests should not be trusted.
Avoid this company — they do not deliver the reliability or support they advertise.

RENEWAL AND PRICING
You contacted us ahead of the renewal date to discuss pricing, so you were aware that the service was due to renew. Our service includes both the registered office address and a director’s service address for an unlimited number of officers, providing a complete and cost‑effective solution.
AUTOMATIC RENEWAL
The service was not cancelled. The automatic renewal did not complete, which is why the service moved into expiry pending payment. A further renewal window was then provided so that the service could still be renewed without disruption.
WHAT WENT WRONG
When you attempted to renew, you experienced an issue with the online system. You also contacted us for assistance. While we did respond and attempted to help, we recognise that our initial response did not resolve the issue and we should have taken this out of your hands and dealt with it directly. That is where we fell short.
CURRENT STATUS
Your service has not been cancelled and there has been no loss of your company’s use of the address. Everything remains in place and can be continued without disruption upon renewal.
WHAT TO DO NOW
If you would like to continue, please contact our office directly and we will complete the renewal for you without you needing to log in again. We will handle this for you and arrange payment of the annual fee as part of the process.
OUR APPROACH GOING FORWARD
We have reinforced internally that if a customer reports a system issue, we resolve it directly rather than asking them to retry. If something goes wrong, we fix it quickly and with minimal effort from the customer.
We appreciate your feedback and your time with us as a customer.

They used to be very good
They used to be very good. The last time i registered a company, in 2026, it took days. I got no response unless i actively pestered them. No responsible person was willing to talk to me. They thanks me for helping them learn to be better. But I'm a business consultant & trainer. I charge for that.
My ltd finally went through. But it took almost a week. Next time I will look elsewhere first. They are no longer my go-to choice. Oh... and the address i got from them was rejected by a bank I tried using. I don't know if that's their fault, but it sure is a cherry to top the experience.
Again, they used to be quite good. I'm sorry to see this happen.

ORDER TIMELINE
For clarity, the order for your company was placed on 18 February 2026. Under the current anti-money-laundering (AML) and identity verification requirements, identity documents must be received and verified before a company can be submitted for registration.
Shortly after placing the order you contacted our team regarding a question about the PVC verification code, and our staff corresponded with you on that point before proceeding with the identity verification process.
A secure upload link for the required documents was then sent on 20 February. As no documents were received, the link was sent again on 23 February, which was the next working day following the weekend, when it became clear that there had been some confusion with the upload process. Once the documents were successfully uploaded, verification was completed and the application was submitted to Companies House on 25 February, with the company being registered the following day on 26 February.
As you acknowledged during the process, the delay arose because the documents had not initially been uploaded successfully. Once the required documents were received, the incorporation itself proceeded within the normal timeframe.
AML AND IDENTITY VERIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
The compliance procedures surrounding company formation have become more involved in recent years, particularly in relation to anti-money-laundering (AML) and know-your-customer (KYC) requirements that must be completed before an application can be submitted.
These checks are typically more detailed where directors are resident outside the UK. As you are a Czech national resident in the Czech Republic, these verification requirements applied before the incorporation could be submitted.
REGISTERED OFFICE ADDRESS
Regarding the registered office address, this service is used by many thousands of UK companies and is widely accepted by banks and other institutions. A search of the Companies House register will show that approximately 15,000 companies use the address at 27 Old Gloucester Street, London WC1N 3AX, the majority of which are managed through our services.
Companies using this address routinely open UK bank accounts and operate without difficulty.
Registered office address services of this kind are a standard feature of the UK company formation industry, and banks are well aware that formation agents often provide addresses used by many thousands of companies. The presence of a large number of companies at a registered office address does not in itself prevent companies from opening bank accounts, and if it did, addresses used at this scale across the industry would simply not function.
BANK ACCOUNT DECISIONS
Banks apply their own onboarding and risk-assessment policies when deciding whether to open an account, and those decisions may take into account a range of factors including jurisdiction of residence and an applicant’s prior company history.
PREVIOUS COMPANY
For completeness, we note that you previously formed a company with us in October 2020 using the same name, which was later struck off the Companies House register by the Registrar in 2025. Banks may sometimes consider wider background factors of this nature when assessing new applications.
