What a great company ! Called them up told them problem with my car, gears were really sticking , not driving or exhilarating well . Bring it in they said we can do a free test drive. Meet and greeted by a member of staff very smiley and pleasant. Take a seat they said be about an hours wait . Took it in on a Friday they sent me a video via what’s app showing me the broken and worn parts and telling me the cost of the repairs within a couple of hours. What I liked was they didn’t start any repairs till I phoned to confirm. For them to give. The go ahead. That was a Friday and by the Saturday next day 10am they had fitted my new clutch and the rest of the work on my car.had trouble with my door switch two days later . Nothing to do with a1 clutches. I phoned a1 clutches the lovely Rick said bring it in we will have a look. Rick fixed it for me free of charge it was where I had shut my seatbelt in the car door , so my own fault .Also if you have to wait in reception for a while it is very comfy and pleasant, also modern beautifully clean customer toilets to use. A very professional company who are specialised in fitting clutches gearboxes etc I would not hesitate to use them again or recommend to family and friends. Top blokes !

Phoned a really helpful guy named Steve. He gave me a quote, took the car on 24/07/25. Clutch and cable were replaced in less than 24 hours. I just picked the car up as of 4pm on 25/07/25.
Excellent service and a two year 18,000 miles warranty. Hats off to the guys at A1 Clutches!

Got my partner to take our van in for new clutch. Paid £2350 after having all the work they recommend. Picked van up and the body work had all been damaged severely. My partner told the company before he even drove off and they said they would check the cctv. Since then the owner rik has denied any damage and refused to look at cctv. I have cctv of the van leaving my have 10 mins before he dropped the van off with them.
I also have all the calls made that I've tried to contact him to solve the issue but he states on a call he wasn't dealing with my complaint.
He's very rude to woman more than men(woman watch out don't go on your own). He very rude and unprofessional.
I've had to ring the police and my van insurance to take this further despite me giving him options so solve the accident he denies at he's work place.

The repair was completed quickly and efficiently. Tony was very helpful and affable. I will definitely use them again. Thank you for a swift, trouble free repair.

My car broke down and had to be towed to the nearest garage. I had a phone call the next day saying it would take 2/3 weeks to get round to fixing it but I needed it sooner.
 
I shopped around and A1 Clutches responded straight away and included recovery cost from the previous garage. They turned the car around in 1.5 days, and I was super happy!

I phoned up on a bank holiday weekend as the clutch had gone on my car and they were more than happy to help. The staff were lovely and made me feel very comfortable as a young girl with car trouble going to the mechanics lol. They fixed my car very quickly. I'd definitely recommend.

Our Kia Carens was suffering with difficulty engaging gear, AA callout diagnosed clutch bearing failing. Rang a couple of garages in our area and was advised to book with A1 at Derby. Booking with Tony was nice and easy. Price was really reasonable considering the work to change any clutch. The external slave cylinder had also failed on the vehicle, but Tony rang us to ask before they changed which I appreciated. All in all was left for just over a day and car is good as new. Thanks Tony and the team for such great service.

On the evening of Wednesday 2.7.25 i broke down in the centre of Birmingham, come the afternoon of Thursday 3.7.25 i was finally collected and my car dropped off at A1 in Derby. After the terrible experience of being with my car all night, A1 repaired my car on the Friday which was such a relief. Sensational service and fabulous comminications. ***** rated

Had a gearbox & clutch replaced at cost of £1500. Picked my vehicle up and noticed a whistling sound, when I got home rang there office, they told me to bring it back to inspect. I decided to lift the bonnet myself and noticed the air intake pipe was not connected or fixed in place ! Still the same took it back they said everything was fine. Took it to another garage, they immediately found that a Intercooler pipe had been damaged which was fixed to the gearbox. A1 clutches denied it there doing, although they agreed to replace the hose after my persistence. They kept on insisting it was already damaged which it definitely wasn’t. Very shoddy workmanship. Would never used them again !!

Highly recommended, they are honest about their work.they don’t charged extra and deal with customers very nicely.Great job Mrs Tony.

Cannot fault the work or customer service at the Cannock centre. Had an issue with my clutch that turned out to be a less than straightforward fix in the end, but they persevered and were professional and transparent throughout. Highly recommend!

Great fast service And was best on price by far I rang lots of garages to compare quotes a lot of garages wouldn’t take on the work because I have an Audi a5 and apparently it’s very difficult to do. A1 didn’t even hesitate. I rang on the Thursday was booked in on the Friday and picked it up early Saturday. I know it’s not very often your clutch goes but in future I’ll definitely be taking it here again I’d highly recommend. Great job!!

Excellent work and service. My Daughter was without her car for work and A1 clutches although fully booked for the next 10 days asked us to bring the car to them and they would do their best to fit the new clutch asap. They did just that , and telephoned us within 2 days to say the car was ready for collection. One very happy Daighter and the price could not be beaten. Highly recommend.

A1 Birmingham were able to offer an appointment at short notice and replace clutch and front brake pads at around half the cost quoted by the dealership. Really easy to deal with, efficient, friendly and effective. My car is driving smoothly again 👍🏼
