I had a complete clutch fitted on a skoda my old one was burned out i had a email showing pictures what was wrong with it it was done as soon as they got the parts great service

Really great team. When I couldn't get my classic gearbox repaired they not only rebuilt it for me but then also fitted it very professionally for a very reasonable price. If ever I need work like this again I'm going here.

Brilliant business
As what I thought would be just a simple Clutch issue turned out to be the Dual Mass Fly Wheel also. Now with most garages you would think they are trying to deepen there pockets but not with A1 Clutches. Video evidence showing and explaining the issue with the car and top class service from start to finish. You pay for what you get and that was certainly the case with A1. Thanks again to Gary who gave me the debrief on the car with advice going forward.

Received great service, booked my car for brakes and discs replacement. Given earliest appointment at 8:30 my car was done with 2hrs. Very pleasant staff explained what brand parts they used and 12 months warranty . This is my second time using them.Don’t hesitate to use them. Thanks A1 Team !

Do not hesitate to use A1 clutches, from the second I submitted an online quote to picking the car up, they were superb.
Suki needs special mention-he was personable, professional, and a top gent!
Nowhere local could do the job, the stealers wanted a fortune, and having seen A1’s set up, I was happy leaving my car in their hands-we were updated throughout the process, and the car now drives like new.
Don’t bother going anywhere else, rest assured they provide a top service, at the best price. Thanks everyone at A1 clutches

Be very careful
Be very careful! I had my car in for a clutch replacement, but after reassembling, they couldn't start it. They then withheld it for three and a half months, and after much stress and poor customer service, they repaired the electrical fault, that they blamed on me. They would not offer any kind of discount, so I claimed the money back via my credit card company, who not surprisingly, agreed that A1 Clutches were at fault!
They are now threatening me with court action, but it's interesting to see the tables turned, as this is what I had to do, with very little response from them.
A1 Clutches are not part of the Motoring Ombudsman, and this leaves the customer with very little protection.
I am giving them two stars, because they did at least finally repair the fault, although they would not give me any evidence of the electrical repairs they carried out, so as far as I know, they just had my car for a very long time!

Mr Ford - A BOGUS REVIEWER
Mr Ford came to our A1 Clutches Derby branch for a routine standard clutch replacement. While working on his vehicle, it became apparent that his engine wiring loom had previously been repaired poorly by another garage. It was clear when working on the vehicle there was damage to the loom in several places. We took the care to send Mr Ford emails and pictures clearly showing our findings. Just for clarification:
1) The damage to the loom on Mr Ford's vehicle was nothing to with A1 Clutches.
2) The loom was repaired by A1 Clutches free of charge even though it was a problem we inherited.
3) At all times, Mr Ford had the free use of one of our courtesy cars.
4) We are now in the process of taking Mr Ford to Court to recover our losses.
Mr Ford we look forward to seeing you in Court.

New clutch kit Peugeot Partner
Just picked up my sons van from A1 in tipton the service was excellent from the first phone call to the pick up a video was sent when the problem was diagnosed and advise on additional work which i had carried out the van now drive is now superb it had new clutch kit geabox leak repaired and fresh oil the price was fair and would recommed these guys to anyone 5 star service thank you very much .....

Can’t recommend enough
In all the years I’ve been driving I’ve got to say A1 clutches have been the best experience in a garage that I’ve had. Only took them 2 hours to change my master cylinder. Very reasonably priced compared to other quotes I had. The guy on reception was very pleasant, he explained everything that they done. The communication I can’t fault. Overall I can’t fault them in the slightest. Thank you A1 for making the experience hassle free. It’s a shame you only do clutches otherwise you would be my go 2 garage :)

They really go above and beyond
They really go above and beyond to provide a great service. My car ended up needing further attention then originally thought and A1 clutches offered me different options then worked with me to find the most suitable plan for me with my car. The customer service was excellent and they stayed in contact with updates during the process. I am grateful for help they provided.

Second car needing work at A1 - great job!
Steve and his team have done another great job for me. This is the second car we have had that needed clutch work and the second time they have done a fantastic job. They were friendly, informative, and transparent throughout. The latest repair was for our Mini, not the most straight forward job but the car now drives beautifully - thank you!
