As someone who loved a similar gym, I thought this one would be a great fit for me! I just got into lifting, and wanted to be some place that would lift me up and make me feel good! Unfortunately, that’s not here. Some of the big issues for me are that it wasn’t very clean, the staff were standoffish and racking weights wasn’t enforced at all. Almost every time I went, I would have to remove multiple 45lb weights in order to even use a machine.

To make matters worse, canceling your membership here is NOT clear and the owner of the gym, the staff, is not helpful at all. I canceled my membership, and they charged me anyway claiming that I needed to have done so at least 10 days from the billing cycle and that they will not refund my money. Never found any canceling verbiage on the website or in the member spot site. Even had contacted the staff prior to canceling (to figure out HOW to cancel) and he never mentioned anything until after they charged me. It’s very dishonest and sketchy, in my opinion.

I really wanted to support a local gym. I joined a Life Time fitness, and my experience has been 110% better and it has only been a week. Just do your research and make sure to ask PLENTY of questions before joining.

"I received a letter stating that my membership had been cancelled and they did not want me back. The reasons were invading others space. This business is more likened to a cult. I had a bad experience there before, but received an offer by telephone and tried to give it another chance. I even saw the manager who gave me the letter out at dinner in burlingame and his date asked me why I didn't go there anymore, and i reminded her that her date wrote the letter.
The crowdedness and overselling the membership is another problem. It is so thick with bodies that one cannot even stretch out without hitting another person next to you. The staff is rude and surly. Who needs this?"
