My story is the similar to these others. In some ways I am so glad that I am so poor and didn't give them any payment information. The threat was a felony for opening a payday loan and then closing the bank account before payment was made. Even worse this was from 11 years ago and an account number I did not recognize. When I did some digging on the internet I found multiple similar scams with the same law office. Furthermore, in my state they can't even go after me for debts that old. Finally, I have been sued for a debt before and I got served and was offered a deal before any court procedures were filed. Beware!

Had a missed call from this company and called them back. A representative transferred me to a gentleman who proceed to tell me that I am being sue because of an account with Wells Fargo. I told the gentleman that I have been through this before and I have never had an account with wells Fargo and he said he begs to differ. I ask if he can send me information so I can read and understand it and he got mad and hung up. I have never had an account with Wells Fargo and don't appreciate being threatened with a lawsuit, he wouldn't even let me talk. I have also spoken with Wells Fargo and no previous accounts shows up in their system.

This company left me a voicemail saying they had a lawsuit against me, once I called them to ask about the lawsuit they wouldn't tell me where they are located or the name of the "attorney" thats in their office. They use false threats to attempt to collect on old debt. The crazy part is that the debt wasnt even for me they left all the info of my ex roommate in my voicemail. I have a screenshot saved.
