Best Zapier alternative at best price possible. Not to miss it's an open source so the possibilities are endless. Lacks apps integration right now but looks like they will pull it off soon.

Lastly, their community is pretty solid on Discord and on their forum - these guys actually listen what we, early adopters, have to say.

Now the cons - It goes without saying that the number of pieces is what holds me back from fully using their tool - right now, I'm waiting for Encharge, Sessions, Acadle, ThriveCart and Swipe Pages. I know I'm not the only one waiting for pieces, so it's just a matter of voting and waiting. However, some basic stuff as in Google Sheets and Gmail is pretty easy to do!

I had an issue around trying to add a team member to my account and was assisted by staff who took the time to go through the steps and later asked me about my overall thoughts of Activepieces. That discussion revealed a bit about the direction and the attitude that the Activepieces team is taking with their product and I am extremely impressed.

After trying out ActivePieces, I was impressed with how intuitive and easy it was to use right from the start. Without even looking at any documentation, I was able to quickly build my first automation flows. With other similar automation apps I've used, it usually takes me much longer to figure out all the steps and technical details required to create and test new workflows. With other automation apps, I end up unable to make certain automations work properly because of the complexity involved in connecting everything together.
I decided to test creating a flow in ActivePieces that I had spent nearly an hour researching previously with another automation app, trying to sort through all the necessary APIs and authentications to connect the external apps. Setting up that same flow in ActivePieces took me only about 2 minutes, and after that it was just a matter of going through and configuring the options for each step, which seemed quite simple based on the available settings.
If I finished setting up the full flow I probably could have gotten it up and running in just a few more minutes. However, after this test, I started thinking through all the use cases and automations I've wanted to build in the past but never looked a because of the time to create with other automation apps. With ActivePieces, I can see it being so much faster and easier to turn those ideas into working flows, for both personal projects and client work. I highly recommend giving ActivePieces a go if you're new to workflow automation tools, especially if you've found other apps to be complicated. The ActivePieces community provides support through their Discord channel and website forums.

I got this software on a great deal and bought it because I wanted to make API integrations easier, without the high costs of alternatives such as Zapier or Pabbly. It's certainly not as full featured as the alternatives yet as it's very new, but it's certainly moving in the right direction. Since purchase, the number of available "pieces" has grown significantly. The product being open source should also mean it developers rapidly, as third parties are likely to contribute back to the project. Overall, I'm happy to support Activepieces and hope it continues to grow and mature. At the moment, I'm mostly using it for sending me Discord messages when an RSS feed is updated - it's super simple but really effective at this and very affordable.

I've used activepieces over the last month

User experience is clean and responsive - finding how to do things was reasonably straightforward to do. The platform being open and extensible is a big strength, and there is a constant stream of updates to integrations

There is a good amount of flexibility using built in javascript steps - I found this super handy to create custom logic and calculations from data that had been collected by previous steps, and feeding that to conditional follow-on steps such as alerts and messages.

The team is very active and available on discord too which is great to see

There's no shortage of connector services but I am a sucker for good design - the combination of Activepieces' ease of use and looks is irresistible. Design is always a differentiator for me. Is it up there with Zapier or Make in terms of the integrations? Not yet, but it's easier to use and open source to boot.

The recent update that creates your own chatbots using ChatGPT and Activepieces is the icing on the cake, for I can replace specialized chatbot services with Activepieces and make use of the other connections as well. TBH, that alone is worth the investment for me.

Activepieces is a promising investment; while I am signed up for the cloud service, the fact that it's open source gives me comfort. Good design + AI integration for the win as far as I am concerned.

Great visual workflow designer, and the "code" piece allows for custom javascript/typescript and even importing npm packages offering great flexibility. The main negative is that it is still a young platform and has few native integrations compared to zapier/make.

What a fabulous option!
I wanted some cheaper alternatives to Zapier so that I can move form data from my web pages to my CRM and email lists. I like the idea of supporting an open source project like this because most of the best parts of the internet are tied to open source projects and I believe in supporting open source.

However, I was very surprised to find that what is here works well. I do wish it had more apps supported (NO facebook) but the reason I got it (for forms info) it has been really nice.

I may get into using it's RSS to read news every hour and tie it to chat gpt to write articles and auto post on a blog for me since the pricing is so generous and I have plenty of left over tasks available on my plan every month.

The interface is very clean. I like the open feel and the way my options are laid out on the right side panel. If you have any experience with these types of products you will probably be familiar with everything here.

I have pabbly but needed more tasks and didn't want to keep paying for zapier. This was very useful and if facebook ever gets added to Activepieces it'll be missing one of the biggest omissions.

Still, for my uses (because I knew fb wasn't included) I give this a 5/5 stars. It's really clean, easy to use, fairly priced and the opensource nature of it are all big signs to give it a go if you need api automations.

This software has a TON of potential, but right now it isn't even in the same arena to contend with tools like Zapier.

The good:
Activepieces is open-source so I have no doubt there will be rapid development. *IF* you are very tech savvy, you can do just about anything you want with AP.
It is effective for use with open.ai and the like.
There is a discord community that seems to be very active as well.

The bad:
While it may happen *someday*, I don't anticipate AP replacing Zapier or similar products, anytime in the near future. It isn't for the non-tech savvy and can be very frustrating.

The ugly:
I can do basic coding and am pretty tech savvy. AP gave me a migraine after hours of trying to get it to work with some of my tech stack. I finally resigned to plopping my open.ai api in it and generating some ai generated blog drafts (albeit, they'll never actually be used but I was that desperate for some form of self-efficacy gratification).

If a piece is not working, if is fixed quickly. I wish that they will add more pieces, which they are! I'm really happy to have gotten in on this early.

From the time I started using it I have been smiling, because it let me build automations I have wanted to build for the last years. Now I have built them in a matter of a few weeks, part time.

The combination of the excellent visual flow builder, the versatile pieces (integrations) and ease of use is just wonderful.

I have automated things I had given up on, and I have freed so much time, and also have to do less tasks now because Activepieces takes care of that.
