Allen Ford Nuneaton-Fault with a brand new Puma

Bought a brand new Puma in March 2025..now 9 weeks old and it's broken down twice..getting better service from the AA via Ford Assist rather than from Allen Ford Nuneaton!! I was assured someone from the garage would call me back 27/5 but no one has bothered.

Swindon Branch

We were very disappointed with the service and information provided by Allen Ford Swindon.
We’ve been looking for a Ford Mustang for a while and we travelled to Swindon to view a black one (KF18EAG)

On arrival we were greeted by a lovely chap who was very polite and welcoming, he was there guiding people where to park for an event they had on that Sunday.

A sales representative then took over and my partner went for a test drive, as much as he loved the car, we were very disappointed with the presentation of the Mustang, at the price of £32,198 and from a Ford dealership we expected better than this. The car was very dirty, it also had a lot of damage, seals broken, bumper damage that needed fully repairing, lights broken, the boot area was full of dog hair and scratches. After explaining this to the sales representative he then said he was going to speak to his colleague.

Another colleague came out and to be honest his service was quite poor, one comment made was ‘we’ve already spent a lot of money on this car’ so my partner asked what exactly and his answer was they have replaced the windscreen?! So the lack of understanding from a customer perspective looking at a £30K vehicle, this car was poorly presented it gave us the impression that Ford Allen weren’t prepared to do anything about the damages of the car.

With this considered, we still loved the car but the service was really putting us off, we decided in the end to reserve the car, the sales rep said he was going to speak to his sales manager the next day then call my partner… Well, no call was received and we noticed they had took the car off reserve with no communication.

We are really disappointed with our experience received by Allen Ford Swindon and will be looking elsewhere

Very good experience from start to…

Very good experience from start to finish, communication from Dylan Chuter was excellent,and very quick, always there to answer any questions I had, I took delivery of my vehicle yesterday and couldn't be happier, everything ran smoothly and I'd definitely consider using them again, well done to everyone involved, especially Dylan.

Gave my company van for some battery…

Gave my company van for some battery issues. All fine but when it came to reading the report it was totally "unreadable" if that's the right word. Could not say what the fault was with the battery. Maybe next emailing the report for the diagnostics would be a better bet???

Cash Machine and Incompetence

Took the car in January and paid for investigation work and told new battery needed.
Battery died after leaving car in drive for 4 days within 3 months of changing.

Took car back and charged for investigation saying usb charger is the cause. How can that be when it is not plugged in? Did not want to know and just wanted payment saying this was not the cause last time as it was battery. Stated well you changed the battery and made me pay so why did you not check the usb charger then? No comment from then.

Incompetence of their technicians and suggest everyone to keep away!!

Allen Ford Warwick

I have been a Ford customer for over a decade with several Ford dealerships and I havent been so poorly treated as a customer ever - all for the sake of not wanting to refund £50 by a salesperson - Bradley Warren. Would not receive my calls, would not respond to my emails nor will he call back. September 2024 to present: I am still chasing respectfully.
As of today, another person has mentioned that they will be unable to refund via bank transfer as it is a small amount and if it was a bigger amount they would consider refunding via bank transfer. I am mandatorily physically required to go to them to get my refund.
For me, It no longer is about the £50 refundable advance - just the lack of competence or intent to engage the customer which feels like a tactic to wear the customer out and have them give up on the £50.
I dont understand, why would you put a potential future customer through this behaviour - all because you cant be asked to respond to at £50 refund request? I shouldnt need to beg for my money or waste my time trying to get a refund for months.

Allen ford Northampton

Allen ford Northampton, are a corporate money making machine.
The sales staff seem to be under high pressure, almost at the point where they can't function, I was offered 15,000 for my van but only against something new, they were not in the business of buying vans?, I was tied into a lease which I could never own the van, but I was advised once the balloon payment was made was mine, but still had to pay a 10 % of the value each year, short story don't trust what you are told by the sales team,!! For your information, you can't rate them on there website less than a 4 because they know it's bad

unauthorised change to contract resulting in overpayments.

Review for Allen Ford Coventry (London Road Branch):

I’m extremely disappointed with my recent experience. Someone at this dealership has amended my service plan contract without my knowledge or consent, resulting in unauthorised overpayments being taken from my bank account. This is a serious breach of trust and professionalism and by definition is fraud. I have submitted a formal complaint via email dated 23rd April 2025 and have given them seven days to respond via email. I have also emailed the aftersales Manger directly, and the same complaint via the online enquiry form so multiple individuals can see this and escalate to the relevant people and/or teams, due to the seriousness of this complaint. I’m currently awaiting their reply and hope this issue is addressed promptly and appropriately.

I took my car for mot and service to…

I took my car for mot and service to allen ford in Romford and everything was fine but I been advised to change the oil and filter in the gearbox but for that I have to pay extra and I don’t understand why because when they sell the service plan to me they said evry filter and oil is included except few things wich I have to pay extra but gearbox is not on that list.
The rest everything was fine
The things I have to pay extra is
Diesel fuel filter
Brakes fluid change
Rear brake inspection only
Air conditioning bomb
This is the only extra i have to pay nothing about gearbox

Disappointed that after I pay a…

Disappointed that after I pay a reservation fee and applied for finance they then emailed to say the vehicle had gone.

We’re now 5 days later, they won’t reply to emails about refunding my reservation fee and no sign of getting my money back.

Thank gosh I didn’t actually purchase a vehicle through these people. Imagine if something went wrong!

I’d appreciate my refund

Great service, but could be more convenient for disabled customers.

Had a service and MOT at their branch in Coventry and cannot complain about the service in general. All work agreed to was done to a great standard.

The only negative remarks are that I had initially wanted to book the service and MOT at Nuneaton but was told that they didn’t have any courtesy cars anymore, which as a disabled customer I needed, so I rebooked at Coventry, who did. The unfortunate thing about this is that the Coventry branch is a bit of a faff to get to and from, from where I live, whereas the Nuneaton branch is really simple.

The work, the communication and the service representative were all spot on though, so overall, I cannot complain too much. I have been an Allen Ford customer for some time now, as have my family, whose closest Ford dealers are owned by the Allen Motor Group.

Ford Kuga purchased from Nuneaton…

Ford Kuga purchased from Coventry Branch. Had the car just over a year nownew battery needed (will let that slide) but had an intermittent fault on it I’ll now be going elsewhere to sort. Warranty not worth the paper it’s written on. You have to pay £125 inspection fee upfront before they look at it under warranty then if it is warranty you then have to claim back with the warranty company. Absolutely ridiculous. Gave up as soon as they said they this as they clearly will try and reject anything to make money.

Matt at the Coventry branch was decent to start giving my boys sweets as we discussed the sale. But as soon as the car was purchased he couldn’t give a stuff.

Should of held out for a car at sandicliffe instead never had a problem there at all.

Great customer service from Allen Ford, Swindon

I bought a used Ford Focus from Allen Ford in Swindon. I also traded in my old Ford Focus. The new vehicle is a Ford Direct car and had absolutely every optional extra we could have wished for. It has very low mileage and looks pretty much brand new. The whole process was handled perfectly by Laura Mowforth. A good price was negotiated for the part exchange and Laura delivered on everything she promised, keeping us up to date at every step of the way. After experiencing very poor service from both Hyundai and Citroen main dealers I'm delighted to say that Laura has restored our faith in the motor trade. On the day we picked up the new car Laura and all the staff at Allen Ford, Swindon couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming. Laura spent time explaining the features of the car and made the whole process totally hassle free. We never felt rushed, even though the showroom was busy as it was the first day of new registrations. I'd definitely use Allen Ford, Swindon again and will use our local Allen Ford (in Bath) when the car needs servicing. We're also delighted with our new car.

Brand new Ford Kuga St LineX PHEV

Brought a brand new Ford Kuga St Line X PHEV from Allen Ford through (initially) Car Wow then dealt with there online sales team. I worked with Dylan Chuter, one of the online Sales Specialists, and the experience was nothing but positive from start to finish. We had sold our previous car so was anticipating quite a gap without transport, but Dylan pulled out all the stops to get it delivered in a timely fashion. Very impressed with the service given.

Avoid the Romford branch

ROMFORD BRANCH. LONDON ROAD. Wow. Where to even begin. This place is stuck in the dark ages. The two staff members we dealt with were incompetent, one being the manager. Constant mistakes made which lead to so many troubles. Absolute shambles. Totalled around 7 hours at this place doing a part exchange. I’d never ever go back here again. Seriously, go Dunton it’s not that much further on. The fact this place looks so old and grubby really matches the standard of staff!!!
