The delivery was spot on and the actual compost looks like decent quality. However, the safety issues and the "not our problem" attitude from Alsoils mean I won’t be back.

I bought this for a raised veggie bed for my kids, but while I was putting it down, I found a blown battery and several sharp shards of glass. Finding hazardous waste in soil—especially when children are going to be digging in it—is a massive red flag.

The customer service was even worse:

They called once, left no message, and then ignored my return calls and voicemails.

When I finally got hold of someone, they just shrugged it off. They told me they don’t sieve the soil because it comes from a third-party supplier, and that was that.

It’s a real shame that a good product is ruined by a total lack of quality control and a dismissive attitude toward customer safety. If you’re using this for a family project, be extremely careful.

Love the soil with this company . Always deliver top soil,and they have an assortment that works with everything. Used the company a few times now . Prices are good . Delivery on time and communication with the office is good. Stewart . Reflective Gardens

Customer service ahead of delivery was excellent. All my questions were answered. I was concerned about delivery as access to the drop off location was limited. Review by Michaela at Customer Services indicated that access would be adequate. The delivery arrived on time, the driver was excellent and the delivery went smoothly. The topsoil has good colour and looks good quality.

Had a really great experience with Alsoils, delivery was sooner than we expected and the driver could not have been more accomodating. Waited 10 mins for me to get home from work so he could deliver into our garden rather than the kerb and dropped the soil exactly where I asked.
Soil is also absolutely lovely and our turf is thriving on it! Thank you :)

We ordered on Sunday, called Monday morning and confirmed that delivery would be with us the same day. We have a narrow driveway and the delivery driver was absolutely amazing (literally had to climb at one point to get in position) but made sure it was as far into the garden as we could get it. Will definitely be ordering more so huge thank you!

Ordered two bags of turf and lawn soil. The phone operator was helpful when taking the order and the soil was delivered as planned. The best part was the soil was perfect for grass seeding and far better than I had expected, so 5* are well deserved.
