Defintely not a 4 star hotel
I would not recommend staying at AHR Altura Hotel in Palau. Although it markets itself as a 4-star hotel, in reality it feels more like a 2-star at best. The bathroom had visible mold, and the unpleasant mold smell lingered throughout the room. Cleaning standards were very poor – the room was not properly maintained and everything felt neglected. The furniture is extremely old, worn, and unkept, adding to the overall shabby impression.
What made the experience even worse was the attitude of the staff. Instead of acknowledging these issues or trying to resolve them, they dismissed concerns and treated me as if I was exaggerating or imagining the problems. This lack of accountability and respect for guests is unacceptable.
Overall, very poor quality for the price and definitely not up to the standards it claims to have.
