In my experience, the most effective approach to a sales call is to introduce yourself, explain the purpose of the call, and ask whether it is a convenient time to speak. Unfortunately, this was not my experience.

What concerned me more was Mason's response when I declined the proposition. Rather than handling the objection professionally and exploring whether there might be future opportunities, the conversation quickly turned to a threat that our profile would be deleted.

My response was simply that this would not be a problem.

I appreciate that sales can be challenging, and rejection is part of the process. However, I believe Mason would benefit from additional sales training, particularly around objection handling and maintaining a professional dialogue when a prospect chooses not to proceed.

I felt it was important to bring this matter to your attention, as this approach reflects poorly on your organisation and is unlikely to generate positive outcomes.
