Mike is so passionate and knowledgeable, I would happily recommend him to everyone, should go on master chef

The meal cooked by Mike was a highlight of our holiday. He is passionate about food and creating dishes which suit his clients. We are quite a challenging group of 9 for whom to cook, due to our various dietary requirements. Mike was easy to communicate with, very understanding and helpful. He revised recipes and created the canapés so that everyone could eat them. No mean feat. All the food was locally sourced. The lamb was delicious. The wild rose granita - a real hit. He provided an excellent cheeseboard.

We were staying with good friends John and Penny in Oban and experienced one of the best fine dining evenings I can remember and we’ve eaten at Michelin star and Masterchef winner restaurants. Mike was so enthusiastic, so involved - he just loves cooking and he provided us with flavour combinations like a great artist such as Van Gogh would put colours together. All courses were not only cooked to perfection but presented beautifully too. I can’t speak highly enough of his ability and would recommend him without hesitation. Can’t wait to visit John and Penny again.

We were on holiday near Oban and my Daughter had previously contacted Mike to arrange with him, a surprise meal for my 60th Birthday, they discussed and agreed a menu with an emphasis on what was local and seasonal.

Mike provided us with, what we agreed after was, one of the best meals we have had, the courses complimented each other very well, giving us a taste of both land and sea.

This was the first time I have experienced a Private Chef and Mike is very knowledgeable and passionate about the local produce, his planning, preparation, cooking and explanations of the courses and ingredients made it a unforgettable experience.
