I received the best customer service I have ever received from any company from Aromatherapy Associates. I was so impressed that I will now be a lifetime customer and have already recommended them to all of my friends. I also really love the products, particularly the bath oils. Highly impressed by the service and the products!

Allergic reaction…

Have used AA for years but after receiving some for my birthday I had a really bad allergic reaction. The smell of the oil is not what it used to be. Smells rather artificial. Sadly, my AA bath nights are over.

Utterly disgusted and disappointed

Utterly disgusted and disappointed. I have spent over £700 with this company and recently ordered £155 worth of items, one of which was three aromatherapy drops for the new aromatherapy diffuser I bought from them. This product was missing. When I raised this as missing, a full-blown investigation was conducted, which ultimately concluded that I was a liar, and it was packed (it was not). People who pay £30 for shower gel do not need to lie to get a freebie worth £60! They have now lost a loyal customer, and I have requested a return of the diffuser. I will shop at Neon at another brand that does not accuse its buyers of lying. Customer service training is needed if you wish to succeed in this voilitile market! Probably done me a favour as £60 for bath oil is rather steep!

Buyer Beware Aromatherapy Associates sell Expensive Atomisers that don't last

I purchased 2 Aromatherapy Associates Atomisers which cost around £129 each. I've also purchased their oils. Sadly 1 of the atomisers no longer emits aroma. I've followed all the maintenance advised by AA with no success. The other one works but gurgles and is noisy which is not conducive to relaxation and rejuvenation. While AA have responded to my queries with advice they are not able to replace the atomisers because they are no longer in warranty. I have purchased a Neom Mini Pod for much less which I use in a bathroom and for travel and it has definitely outlasted and outperformed the more expensive Aromatherapy Associates Atomisers. I can see from numerous other reviews that I am by no means not the only disappointed customer who has invested in an expensive product with a disappointing lifespan.

Avoid

Awful Awful Awful company!!! Was once great and a good product with good loyalty program. A lot has changed and the products are not value for money.
Customer service staff are smug and just don’t get it.
It is clear to see by the low ratings that others have the same point of view regarding aromatherapy associates. Don’t bother save your money there are better products on the market now and better customer appreciation shown. This company has truly had its day!

Smug and condescending customer services

The oils are amazing, packaging beautiful. Customer service ...smug and condescending!
I ordered both at Christmas and in June spending so much that I received a free gift, except I didn't as they forgot to pack it in the parcel. I didn't bother contacting them at Christmas but this time I did and the smart arse customer services were vile. Won't be ordering from them again with this kind of attitude

Missing Items

Order a product and you get the option to add some free samples.

Selected the samples but they never arrived with my purchase. Asked about this only to be emailed that their packing system is so sophisicated that the samples couldn't have been missed and basically I was lying.

the box was undamaged, no samples so they missed them. But to be told I'm a liar means I won't be returning.

Was a loyal customer but then they changed the loyalty scheme and I lost points plus you now have to spend a fortune to get any points at all to use. I switched to another better company for my aromatherapy where the oils are higher grade and the presentation/packaging is nicer. AA are overpriced with a mega stingy loyalty programme and zero customer service plus the products look like they are marketed for ancient old ladies! If you don’t look after customers they find a better brand!

Lost my loyalty points

Lost my loyalty points. Been a long time customer and had accumulated alot of points. I hadn't used the website for a few months and when I went back they were gone. Cannot get hold of anyone to speak to about this.

Not even one star. Iv ordered a aromatherapy oil. And thay gave me 3. And carnt get hold of them. Now thay have took 80 pounds out of my account.

Issues with Website, call centre keep cutting off call & contact form fails when sending

I've been in their loyalty programme for years, love the products but my latest experience is a big disappointment. The free gift set offered at checkout was not there to select as on previous orders, it just kept defaulting to their subscription offer. I tried calling 6 times & each time I was cut off after 40 seconds. I've just tried to complete their online contact form which also failed. There's therefore no means of contacting them to resolve all these issues!

Hate the website but love the brand

Hate the website but love the brand. I've been a fan of the products for many years. They discontinued my favourite face oil which was disappointing. I managed to build up some loyalty points and wanted to use them however I have been trying on and off for over a year and they really need to sort the website out. You can't use them with express check out but even when not using it there is no where for points to be added and you can only use 5,10 or 100 quid in one go. No good if you have 70ish like I do. I've given up and just going to leave the points on there and go to a different brand.

Wonderful customer service offered by Laurie who was kind enough to add a gift message on request, even though the company does not yet offer this as an automated service. Excellent offers on quality products and great rewards for loyalty.

Defective Atomiser

I purchased the very expensive atomiser about 15 months ago. Within the first 12 months it stopped taking a charge and I sent it back to the company for repair - they sent it back saying it was the same atomiser and was now working. It did work for a while. It has now stopped working again and no charger will make it charge. I contacted customer service and despite it being clearly a fault with the atomiser they will not repair, replace or refund. I am shocked and appalled at this given the cost of the atomiser. I will NEVER shop with them again. I can see from other reviews here that the atomisers clearly have an issue so please do not invest your hard earned money in this defective product. Reporting to trading standards as I believe they swapped out my original atomiser for a new one when I first sent it back, and did not tell me they had done this. Now that the new one isn't working they escape their 12 months warranty obligation on the replacement that is also a dud.

Still disputing an order with credit card company. Interesting to read a glowing review straight after a negative one. But suspicious, but looking at reviews now, you can’t get worse that bad reviews outweigh good ones. I still have the dreadful so-called gifts that were advertised that were nothing more than freebies in tiny cardboard envelopes. I refused to pay postage to send these back and they would not pay postage. Reviews said they don’t refund even when you send goods back. Would never ever buy again from this awful company.

Extremely disappointing products and customer service

After receiving a bottle of their bath oil in a John Lewis advent calendar I went to the website to order some more. I was shocked at the prices but ordered some more items. I was invited to join the mailing list, open an account etc and receive 20% off my first order. I have ordered twice, spending over £200 and haven't been able to use the 20% off. I understand If sale items aren't included but it seems nothing qualifies for the 20% discount. I emailed 2 weeks ago and have called but no answer to either. I also notice I haven't received the points for over £112.00 spent.

After reading the reviews on here I now realise this company are to be avoided and I also concur regarding the miniature bottles, retailing around £12-£15. They arrived with card wrapped around just like the samples received at beauty counters.

The rollerballs are pretty useless and the sleep spray is a vey chemical smelling 'perfume'. I had to stop using it so another waste of money. This Works sleep spray a far better, and much cheaper buy.

Avoid, avoid, avoid.
