90 year old disabled driver fined in GPS car park

I have been trying to sort out a parking fine with this company for my 90 year old father who is a disabled driver We paid the fine but we are still been chased by a recovery company and now solicitors We have tried to communicate with all parties to sort this out but we have been unsuccessful My 90 year old disabled father is now heading to court

I got a parking charge notice in Lidl…

I got a parking charge notice in Lidl because I went slightly over time, I wrote to them explaining the circumstances regarding my parking, they dealt with the matter quickly and professionally and on this occasion the charges were dropped. I will say that before they were introduced into our Local Lidl there were often times when you could not park to go shopping because folks who work in town would leave their cars there all day (we have several car parks and the charges per day are reasonable).

Evacuated from my home due to fire - needed to park safely

Evacuated from my home due to petrol station fire within a few yards of my building. Left my car in Lidl car park overnight (no danger of taking up otherwise needed spaces) as I thought it safest and least likely to cause problems to the emergency services in surrounding area. Received parking fine; what was really bad was the rudeness of this company, they did not reply at all to the detail of my appeal - it was a serious fire with potential explosion! - but sent a repeat demand with threat to increase the fee if I appealed further. Unfortunately there is no come back to this sort of behaviour, it will only cost more anxiety and money in the long run. Yuk.

Agency worker - I received a ticket after working one shift during a pandemic.

I received a ticket after working at Lidl for just one day through an agency, I am not from the area and I was unaware of the parking restrictions. I appealed and provided evidence of a timesheet and emails showing I was with an agency. They were 'apparently' unable to cancel the ticket without authorisation from Lidl. Lidl was unable to help and said I should drive to the store. I explained that Lidl was unable to provide me with contact details of the area manager which they wanted in the email response I received. I do not live near the store and during lock down it would be a unnecessary journey for me to drive there and wait in line to get into the store and speak to the manager. They did not want to hear it, thank you Athena for making me drive 21 miles unnecessarily during a pandemic.

Very helpful

I needed to phone athena as I was having problems contacting them on my computer.i wasn't sure what to expect but spoke to a lovely lady named May.she was polite and very helpful .she emailed me straight after the phone call and solved my problem within two days.thank you.
