A Seamlees Experience

From start to finish this process of ordering custom shades was so seamless. From receiving swatches, to measurement guidance, and installation, it was easy. I ordered flat Roman shades in Belgian flax linen in Light Gray & the room now just feels finished. The texture and the color highlight my beautiful moldings and millwork.

Scam

Scam, zero customer service. They sent out damaged drapes (torn in a very obvious location) and are completely unreachable via phone or email.

A complete scam

A complete scam. Do NOT do business with this company. I ordered a CUSTOM length Roman shade to fit my bathroom window exactly as it will be pulled down completely due to privacy issues and wanted the shade to touch the top of the window ledge. The shade I received is a half inch too short. It is a standard length and leaves a strange gap at the bottom of the shade where it does not meets the window. In addition, I ordered cord placement on the left side and the shade I received has cord placement on the right. After weeks of contacting them multiple times and sending several photos at their request clearly showing the incorrect length and cord placement, along with a video, they claim that what they sent was “close enough” and they will not do anything to replace my “custom” order with the correct length or correct cord placement. Their website has a lengthy deceptive paragraph on their returns page that claims if they (or even a customer, which is not the case here) make a mistake in the measurements of the finished product, they will make it right. That’s what persuaded me to order from them. A bait and switch tactic for sure. If I could give them a zero, I would. You cannot speak with a live person, which is always a red flag with companies like this.
I encourage all of you to contact the Better Business Bureau and share your experience on social media to help prevent others from being scammed by this conpany.

Their customer service is a scam

Their customer service is a scam. The phone number listed is not connected and their emails and chats are not responsive. The quality is awful for the price. I paid way too much for blinds that have completely fallen apart after only a few years.

Beware of Barn and Willow

Beware of Barn and Willow! You're promised draperies within 10 days, and three months later, still no product. Customer service is unresponsive, a commitment by the CEO to follow up personally has gone unfulfilled. Like many others, I have contacted my credit card company to dispute the charges. Spend your money elsewhere and save yourself the headache!

High quality curtains

High quality curtains, I bought several curtains and blinds from blinds.com but they break every year and have to contact them each time to replace broken parts under warranty.
Barn and Willow are thick, high quality curtains and I am in the process of ordering more.
Production time can indeed be slow as noted by other reviewers but it's not a life critical piece of equipment.

I NEVER RECEIVED MY CURTAINS

I never received my curtains. It has been 5 months, so now it is too late to dispute the charge with my credit card company. Barn and Willow will not respond to my emails and ignores my requests to be refunded.

Poor quality, doesn't hold up over time

I have four roman shades from Barn and Willow in my home. They are beautiful, but they don't hold up over time. The rings on the back detach. The strings break. The brackets warp. I would buy more shades for my home, but the price is exorbitant for the quality you receive. So disappointed. I have let the company know my thoughts before writing this review, but I received no response.

Unresponsive and unprofessional

Much like other reviewers here and on other review sites, I have been unable to reach anyone or get a response about my order (placed on 9/8). I've tried every channel -- email, chat, voicemail, IM, comments, making an appointment -- and I have not received a response. I understand there are global fulfillment issues right now. I simply wanted an update on the approximate delivery date. The lack of response is unacceptable. The site claims orders are taking longer than expected (weeks instead of days) and they are doing their best to keep customers updated, which is clearly not the case given the number of unhappy customers who, like me, have waited months without any outreach. Beware of Barn and Willow.

Horrible experience

Horrible experience. I placed an order which was not received. When I contacted customer service via email, phone and scheduled appointment to inquire about the order/shipping delay, I received no response, so I canceled the payment through my bank. Months later when I finally heard from customer service, I tried to reestablish the order only to have them not acknowledge my previous correspondence and say I should just place a new order online. There's no way I'm going to wait another 4 months to see if maybe this time I'll receive product...

Order never received - no response from e-mails or phone calls

I placed an order in May. The website said 3-10 days for delivery. After 10 days, I got an e-mail saying that their manufacturing facilities had shut down during Covid and were just opening up the next week (first week of June). It's now 5 weeks later and I have received no update about my order or when to expect it. I have e-mailed, and I have called and left voice messages, but no one has ever responded. Their online chat is never ever available. Avoid this company. They are completely non-responsive, unable to deliver product, but still taking orders online.

Stay Away From Barn and Willow

I ordered two Roman blinds from Barn and Willow with a continuous cord on both. When they arrived, they were shorter than they were supposed to be (I was hoping that they would stretch out as the fabric relaxed-they did not!). The draw cord (after 4 months) no longer works. I now no longer have a usable blind. I have attempted to contact them by phone, email and through a review to see if they will repair the blind. Crickets. I am so frustrated with the way they do business. My advice is to not do business with them.

Awful, awful experience

I had such an awful experience I'm trying to leave my review everywhere I can to warn people of the terrible customer service since there are so many "good reviews" about this company out on the internet, mostly shared by influencers with blogs (who likely received free product), on instagram, and on Barn and Willow's own website. Pray when you order your shades that you do not have an issue because they are not eager to resolve anything and they do not stand behind their replacement policy. I ordered a single blackout roman shade that was $500 a few months ago. When I received it last month, at first glance it looks nice, but where the plastic loops are attached to the back blackout panel that allows the shade to close, the panel was punctured in areas where large stitches are, allowing spots of light to come though at those points. This blackout panel is something that was important to me and I paid extra for, I do not want holes in it allowing light to penetrate through during the day. I emailed two days after receiving the shade with photos and I got a quick response apologizing for the defect and offering a replacement. After that I did not hear anything back for 9 days (even after emailing several times asking for an update), and at that point they then turned around and said they heard from the factory and there was actually nothing wrong with the shade (what??) so they were no longer offering to replace it. So for $500 you can expect flaws in the products and apparently this is their standard, even though all over their website they claim they will replace any defective product. I emailed back and told them that is unacceptable and apparently "management" needs to review this before they can remediate anything. It's been 14 days and even after emailing to see if there is an update I have not heard anything. Their phone number also does not connect you to any real person, it goes to a voicemail and no one will ever call you back. Their customer service is a legitimate joke, its nonexistent. At this point I've disputed the charge with my credit card company hoping for some resolution because I do not trust that they will actually get back to me or make things right. Avoid this company at all costs!!

Never going back to ikea curtains

I did a 360 in my home after realizing how many chemicals were in everything I owned. After much research, I found Barn & Willow and learned their blinds and curtains are made of fabrics that aren't treated with tons of chemicals. The website is so easy to navigate and I had a design specialist reach out to see if I needed assistance. Can you say VIP much?! I felt like a celebrity the way they were treating me. I customized my curtains, ordered them, and received them 8 days later which is insanely fast for an online company. They really do look so luxurious compared to my old ones from Ikea, and I feel so much relief knowing my curtains are made of good material and will last for a long time.

I ordered my drapes and they arrived in…

I ordered my drapes and they arrived in a beat up box from India, no where on their website says the drapes were made in India. Someone should investigate this company for fraud. The drapes were damp and smelled bad, I tried to contacted custom service for a return through phone and email but nobody got back to me after a week. If the owner of this company is reading this please get back to me.
