We have worked with Isabelle since acquiring the property they manage for us one year ago. There were initial difficulties for us as the property had more problems than we realised at the time. Isabelle and Rebecca have been very helpful and patient in dealing with our queries, and very quick and efficient in dealing with our problems. It has been a pleasure to deal with them, and we would wholeheartedly recommend them to other landlords.

I was with Barnsdale for 5+ years and had never had a bad time with them. They were always helpful and pleasant to deal with. I mainly dealt with Isabelle, as she was the person who helped me with all the checks at the beginning of my journey with them, and I am very grateful for all the help that I received.

Rude,unkind and unpleasant behaviour towards me from Rebbecca O'Neil and Lainey Aspinal more than one occasion. They manage my apartments service charge and have sent letter after letter and email after email to my tenant without any jurisdiction. I'm unhappy as a landlord to have to utilise this service.

Everyone was really kind and gave the time to explain stuff a little better.

Gemma has been so helpful throughout the whole moving process! She is always kind and friendly even if I have lots of questions and she's always happy to help answer. Her flexibility to suit my schedule has also been very appreciated. Thank you so much for your help Gemma!

1-Star Review: Deeply Disappointed with Barnsdales – *Landlords Beware*

As a landlord with over 10 years of experience, I’ve never encountered such unprofessional and frustrating management as I have with Barnsdales, specifically their Doncaster office.

Despite being a loyal client since 2016, I’ve experienced:
• Unauthorised works carried out on my property without consent
• Deductions from rent without prior notice or approval
• Contradictory communication between agent, tenant, and landlord
• Inaccurate and misleading advice regarding rent increases
• A complete lack of accountability from their staff
• And ultimately, termination of service when I raised concerns

The agent overseeing my property clearly favored tenant interests over mine, which is unacceptable when I’m the paying client. Their handling of complaints was dismissive, and communication was inconsistent at best, negligent at worst.

I would strongly advise any landlords considering Barnsdales to proceed with caution. If you value professionalism, transparency, and respect, look elsewhere

Awful company, only been in my place a year this month and not seen any of the work done that our “service charge “ covers, sent multiple emails regarding how gross the stair well is and the stairs crumbling, my balcony falling apart into the woman below a garden no safe at all!!, no response back. Cannot get hold of anyone to help.
I will be refusing to pay my service charge until my work gets done that’s needed.

Very poor experience. Barnsdales contracted the work out. Contractor failed to turn up as agreed and were on site for 4 days over a 4 week period. On one occasion a contractor turned up with his child! When asked not to return and to bill us for works completed we were given, in my view, on over-inflated invoice. On asking for detailed breakdown of calculations - the response was "we don't have that level of information"

Terrible company - happy to take your money but almost impossible to get anything done. Two years to fix a leaking roof (no apology) / charge of £500 for gardening when we don't have a garden / no decorating done for two years despite charging for it / if questions get too much for them they just ignore emails and phone calls. Avoid at all cost

As the title says- avoid this Company at all costs. Absolutely disgraceful. On several occasions in the past couple of weeks we have reported to them.about the broken lightening in our secure car park but nothing has been done about it. Coming in from at 10pm and not being able see is a dangerous health and safety problem. This was especially evident when it snowed and because Barnsdales haven't filled up the grit bin as previously requested, I came in from work and slipped on the slippery ground because of the poorly lit area. I spoke to a lady in the office last week and was told that she would get Rebecca or Ramel to contact me to discuss the matter and surprise surprise not a peep. I also emailed the MD Jason and again shock horror- not had the decency to respond or even acknowledge the email.
They are more than happy to take their fee from the property but not willing to do anybody the work.
If anybody reading this is looking for a company to manage their property PLEASE go look else where as you will be wasting your money using these lot. I just wish there was a regulatory body that we could report these to.

Knowledgeable Company with Swift Response Times.

I asked them on a number of occasions to resolve to help my situation with roaming dogs on the lake along with their owners that rented properties next to lodge owners homes .

The Barnsdales employees , two ladies in particular totally ignored my requests for help and decided to insult me and other lodge owners simply to comply with the owner of the lake who controls them and others around the lake .

Barnsdales should be professional management agents and be fair to everyone but that does not happen .

Please do not trust them .

Renting a property of them in Doncaster been email about a month about damp , if they had come when first reported. Wasnt to bad but now half way down the wall. Just keep making excuses.. still not been out leak is from upstairs flat.

Charlie has gone above and beyond what was expected. This is the second time I’ve met him he’s always cheerful and polite. A true professional. He’s Barnsdales Fm.
