We are an independent group who have been caring for eyes for over 68 years. Established in 1957 by Frank Barraclough in St. Leonards and later joined by Peter Stiles, we gained a reputation founded on expertise combined with a kind and helpful manner.
Investing in the latest technology and equipment such as OCT imaging and Optomap® retinal scanning and keeping the practices modern and up to date has all helped in passing the 65 year milestone.
However, a significant contribution has been made by the people working in the company and a large proportion of our staff have been with us for many years enabling them to build excellent relationships with our clients. A great, all-round service
The optician, Ms Nuleen Panday, was very thorough and explained what she was testing for, so I understood the processes. She showed me the results of the optometry and explained what the images showed. The receptionists were very helpful and welcoming, as usual. There was no waiting time for my appointment.

Successful Visit
I was seen on time. I didn't feel rushed during the examination. My glasses were checked, tightened & cleaned & I was even supplied with a new case, as I had accidently stepped on mine recently.

Not only was a health condition picked up and a referral made but I received amazing customer service from Emma Bond who was incredibly patient with me and spent a considerable amount of time helping me with frames, lenses and tint options.
