Any potential buyers, please be aware that any Mattresses sold by Bensons for Beds with a "topper" will sag within months. This is the standpoint of Benson's for Beds Customer Services!

In fact the mattress guidelines followed by Bensons for Beds for the mattress I speak about state that 4 centimetres (almost 2 inches) of indentations within 14 months are within tolerances and as such there is no failure of a mattress until the sagging is in excess of these guidelines.

Manufacturers guidelines have been followed religiously in that this mattress has been rotated at least once per month since new.

When we selected this replacement mattress we were informed by the shop manager that this mattress would only ever have SLIGHT indentations.

In the case of the mattress I speak about - a 180cm Matt Air 9.0 Memory CR mattress - this mattress now has indentations in excess of 2cm where we sleep after 14 months. In my option, permanent indentations of over 2cm that can be clearly seen even when the bed is dressed with a mattress protector, quilt, and Dorma throw are not "slight".

This mattress was actually a replacement after an "Artisan" mattress with a 100% natural filling actually did fail their test. The Artisan mattress ended up with over 4cm deep indentations in the topper within 12 months.

Even though we believe we have been miss sold this replacement mattress, Bensons Customer Services will not accept verbal statements as to what was said at the point of sale, so as I state... Buyer Beware!

We are now left with a mattress that cost over a thousand pounds and now feels like we are sleeping in hammocks due to the dips where we sleep.

P.S.
The reply from Bensons for Beds below made me smile to be honest. This review was made after Customer Services had quoted that "there are no manufacturing defects with your mattress at present" - "we are unable to take this claim any further" - "it appears that your mattress is experiencing natural settlement, which is where the fibres and fillings compress with use and adapt to a person’s body shape. The product is designed in this way and can be seen almost immediately with usage. This is not considered a manufacturing fault."

This was the reason for my review so that other potential buyers are aware.
I reiterate, personally, I do not consider permanent indents in excess of an inch in depth to be "slight" indents.

I find a the request to contact them again quite insulting, but I'm happy to comply and have done just that.

P.P.S.
As per my last post, I did send an email to Customer Services as a reply to previous correspondence so that Bensons for Beds would have some continuity. I asked them to forward the email on to Megan.
3 working days later, and I have no response.
It seems Megan's initial response here may have been added to look like Bensons for Beds customer services are reacting. All I can say is, that seems to be "smoke and mirrors". My review stands.
Buyer Beware.

We visited Bensons for Beds last Saturday in search of a new bed, mattress and headboard. From the moment we stepped into the store, we were met with a warm welcome and outstanding customer service. Evy, our sales consultant, was patient, knowledgeable and took the time to guide us through all the available options, answering our questions with clarity and care.

Both Evy and the store manager were professional and helpful throughout our visit - offering great advice without ever being pushy. We made a purchase and now look forward to the delivery of our new bed. A big thank you to the fantastic team at the Witney store!
