Emma and the team as a collective were outstanding from pre sale, continuously through to completion.
Emma worked tirelessly, and went over and above her role, to the point where she'd literally overlapped her role until we'd secured an equally fabulous solicitor.
We undersood we were one of many clients but were made to feel our custom was important. Emma and the team were available throughout and guided us through the process. The team are honest, reliable and work to deadlines.
We'd certainly use Berkeley Shaw again without a doubt.

My experience as a leaseholder is not positive. The poor communication and lack of transparency trying to resolve a matter in my property has left me bitterly disappointed. I pay my service charge on time and I expect a good standard of service and unfortunately I have not seen this from them.
Awful experience, now I'm having to pay a significantly higher management fee because their ineptitude and mismanagement. Ignore like the plague.
Terrible management company. Having to pay way more service charge than expected due to their poor management.
This is never ideal for anyone, but it’s particularly hit me as a first time buyer who naively believed they were to be trusted :(
If you are looking for a property management agent avoid at all costs!
They are not to be trusted and have failed to follow even basic health and safety compliance at our development as well as costing leaseholders huge extra costs through failure to get the best deals for insurance and utilities. AVOID.

Shared experience with other reviews here. Years of leaks with inaction, when action has happened it has been clueless. Going round in circles asking the same things. Even messed the insurance claim up and rarely respond to emails. Phone doesn't get answered. Put a complaint in following their procedure and best I got was a response on how to file a complaint!
Avoid using this company! We purchased our flat nearly 3 years ago and Berkeley Shaw (previously Keppie Massie - perhaps their previous negative reviews was the reason for the name change) have been the managing company for the duration. We’ve had non stop leaks from the roof which they still yet to make water tight. Perhaps if they spent less time chasing focused on trying to remove well behaved pets from the building they may get round to sorting the real issues with this building.
Berkley Shaw is unfortunately our managing agent for our building. They have history of appalling communication, and a complete lack of ability to maintain and manage a building. Our windows have not been cleaned for 2-3 years despite leaseholders begging action. They have zero accountability, charge outrageous fees and are incapable of managing a block of flats: exterior walls left to wrack and ruin, shoddy interior painting and maintenance, inaction over security and theft, huge unforeseen insurance costs, huge communal electricity fees with no investigation, lack of general upkeep and cleanliness in communal areas. They will set debt collectors on you even if you have a complaint open (Stage 2) and have referred them to the Property Ombudsman and have an open case. Shameful behaviour. Despite multiple complaints from multiple leaseholders their inaction and mismanagement continues. A total disregard for professionalism, leaseholders and due care. You have been warned: do not use this company as managing agents.
Terrible experience as a tenant. I rented a flat with Berkeley Shaw (BS) and moved out as soon as I could. Poor support offered to the tenants - as one of the examples, when I moved in the boiler was not working, the advice from the BS employee was to shower with a kettle until it was fixed (which took more than a week). I had to pay for the repair from my own money because showering with a kettle does not sound like the best solution to a boiler issue. After I moved out the property, this same employee did not answer to my emails and wanted to charge me all my security deposit incorrectly - including double charging a repair I had previously paid to Berkeley Shaw (and he was aware). After several weeks trying to solve this issue, I accepted a reduced amount of my deposit just to move on as I could not stand wasting all my energies just for an answer (calling, sending email etc). If you want to rent a property, my suggestion is to try a different company.
I can't speak highly enough about the service we received from the team.
My Son, who was relocating into the area from Essex, had limited to no knowledge of suitable locations, and in the first instance, Laura was tremendously helpful in guiding him through several phone calls which provided us both with comfort and confidence in his selected area. The lettings team then stepped forward and with a potential hic-up on a specific property which wasn't fully completed, Rachael Doyle engaged with us directly and guided us through a viable and perfect alternative property selection.
Our thanks also to Laura who helped facilitate everything on the administration side, and then finally, with a panic stricken loss on keys (by us) on the day of moving in, Emma Morris was excellent at finding a locksmith late on a Saturday afternoon and resolving the issue.
Thanks to the whole team, the relocation for my Son has been seamless with you all helping and guiding him.
This company doesn't care about it's tenants. We have recently had to move out of our apartment for a month for the cladding on the building to be replaced: the project was poorly managed and our needs were not accounted for at any stage. When we returned to our apartment it was a complete mess, and the company are refusing the replace our blinds, which are no longer functional due to the work that they have done.
