My recent bike fit was excellent. It was very personalised and based on a physical assessment and an understanding of my very modest goals. Andy was incredibly patient in trying out various adjustments and improvements with the result that I left with a set up that would work for me. The session exceeded my expectations and my ride has definitely become more comfortable.

Getting a bike fit before buying a new bike. A thorough and enjoyable experience which assessed my existing fit ( good) suggested some minor tweaks and experimented a little to arrive at a sensible build for my n+1. All the data was supplied afterwards so I can transfer to my existing bikes as well as the new one.
Overall an enjoyable dialogue, professionally conducted with an obviously knowledgeable and experienced fitter. Thoroughly recommended.

First bike fit I have had and it was a great experience with Claire Buttivant from bicycle.
I was met by George who offered me a great cup of coffee whilst I interrogated him about his previous career as a pro triathlete.

After boring George, Claire took me down and interrogated me, finding out everything about me, my riding experience and goals. The physical examination was really useful to understand imbalances and potential causes of discomfort I've had.

I then jumped on the rig and we started the process of making adjustments before eventually dialling things in.

The final tweaks made and the difference was so noticeable! I definitely felt much more comfortable and happy putting power through the bike.

Absolutely recommend a bike fit at bicycle!

Andy was great. I had some hip pain, and it’s faded massively since I had my fit. Really clear post-fit report so I could set up my other shoes as close as possible to the pro-fit version.
Less feet numbness and hands more comfortable.

I had my bike fit with the excellent Dan Coombes on the 11th July 2025 at bicycle.

Upon arriving at bicycle. I was warmly welcomed by the front of house staff and offered a coffee while I waiting for my bike fit to begin. The guys at bicycle. certainly know thing about coffee; it tasted glorious.

After my coffee I was greeted by Dan and taken down to the studio. We discussed my ambitions as a cyclist, then a physical assessment followed. Born with a left club foot, my left and right feet (and legs) are quite different in their abilities. Dan was looking forward to the challenge of fitting me.

I came to bicycle. with a range of issues, most prominently pins and needles in my left hand and left achilles tendon pain. When I was put on the Jig (in my current riding position) Dan recorded footage of my interaction with the bicycle. Dan's feedback as to why my issues were occurring was extremely insightful, and Dan was able to recommend a number of adjustments we could try to alleviate said issues.

After the adjustments had been made (there were plenty...), I asked Dan if he could adapt my current bicycle inline with the measurement of bike fit. Dan was more than happy to make the changes to my bicycle. Unfortunately my frame was slightly too big to set-up my bike to my 'optimal' position, but we were very close. My bicycle now feels like a completely different machine; I can't believe how I was riding prior to the bike fit - transformative.

The biggest 2 changes made to my bike were the handle bar with (formerly 42, now 36cm), and the crank length (formerly 170, now 165mm). There were also changes to my saddle height, saddle setback, saddle angle and pedal system (actually going from Speedplay to Shimano Pedals was another big change for me).

Dan offered to research some bicycles for me which would provide me with the 'Optimal' fit. Dan scheduled a call with me the week following the bicycle fit with some great recommendations. This aftercare was truly professional of Dan, and I will be scheduling a 'Bike set up to fit data' once I get my new bike.

Have used them before for a couple of services and gave a 5star review. Moat recently I had an issue with my wheels and booked in a wheel hub service. Fixed on the day with no issues and a full breakdown of what the problem was, including showing me the used parts. Explained what likely caused it (wheels staying wet in damp garage) and what I could do about it and what to look for. Doesn't sound much, but Eoin was happy to chat it through. My bike isn't super fancy so it was nice to have that level of service. It is on the pricey side, but I willing to pay a bit more for that level of service.

Denver has drastically improved my position on the bike. Before I went for my fit I had started losing hope about riding my bike without knee pain.

The whole experience was very informative and the outcome was what I wanted. Would 100% recommend others to get fitted with Denver.

Professional, knowledgeable and precise, the bike fit identified all the issues and resolved them for a better ride, thanks to Dan for his considerable efforts. Very happy with results.

James is very thorough and knowledgeable and he always explains any adjustments. If for any reason an issue can't be fixed in the session, such as my seat post, James offers solutions. After the session he went away and found a workshop who could engineer a custom seat post I required.

I have used James at Bicycle on more than one occasion and trust his work.

I had a wonderful time getting a bikefit with Claire. She was always taking care to explain everything she did and was very thorough and professional, answering every and any question I had.
My position on the bike is so much more comfortable now and I'm so happy I've gone through with it. While the cost of it all can feel daunting and intimidating, it is a necessary and rewarding investment if you're serious about your cycling practice.

I recently had a bike fit session with Dan and I couldn’t be more impressed. From the moment I walked in, Dan was professional, approachable, and genuinely invested in making sure I left with the best possible setup.

He was incredibly patient, taking the time to explain every step of the process clearly and in a straightforward manner that made it easy to understand the "why" behind each adjustment. His attention to detail was top-notch—nothing felt rushed or overlooked. Every change had purpose, and he was meticulous in making sure things were dialled in just right for me.

What stood out the most was that Dan didn’t just aim for a fit that was “good enough”—he worked methodically to find the right fit, one that truly suited my body, riding goals, and comfort. It made a noticeable difference on the bike immediately.

On a personal note, Dan has a strong handshake, which to me reflects confidence and care—just like the way he works. He's not only technically sharp but also helpful and personable, making the entire experience enjoyable and reassuring from start to finish.

Money well spent—Dan delivers real value, and I left knowing I got more than just a service; I got long-term improvements and peace of mind.

I don’t normally leave reviews but will make an exception as excellence deserves being recognised. I bought my bike from these guys and always get it serviced there. The service and workmanship is second to none. Eoin looks after the bike like it’s his own and is respectful about spending money on renewals and replacements only where it’s necessary. I recently had a bike fit with Denver Collins. The passion and determination he showed to really understand my needs and my particular physiology were outstanding. We made real progress. Overall, everyone at Bicycle is friendly, relaxed and knowledgeable. They’re just as you would want a bike shop to be!

Great service from bike fit to purchase of new bike. Excellent advice, customer care and follow up post purchase. This business is the sort that hopefully you can build a long term relationship with.

Thoroughly enjoyed my bike fit session. Dan was extremely knowledgeable and professional, and had a sharp eye for detail. It was my first bike fit and so was a little nervous at the start, but Dan was good-humoured and accommodating, and quickly put me at ease. Will be returning for future fits.

Before you buy a bicycle get a bike fit. My first purchase of a bike was half way there but now I’ve had a professional bike fit I’m ready for the next step in cycling. A bike that fits me. I’m now armed with all the measurements I need to set up the new bike and create a comfortable riding machine. That’s what “Bicycle”, in Richmond, and their team do. It’s an experience, a process which takes you from your current or stock size fit to a new place where everything is just right. Handlebar width, Seat height, Crank length, Saddle width. The list is long.
The guy who helped me through it, Dan, could tell just by looking at me what I needed. It’s recorded so you can see what he sees and it becomes clear. So many little changes of position makes a difference. Eye opening. Well worth the cost.

Claire and the team at bicycle are excellent. I was always hesitant to “get fitted”, after all do you really need it if you’re riding 5-10 hours a week and your longest rides are barely a full length fondo? Well in hindsight, I wish I’d had a bike fit years ago.

The process is well thought out and systematically goes through one’s desires/goals, physiology, existing set up, and then methodical tweaks to the entire setup. Despite not having saddle discomfort, changing out the saddle made the fit a lot better. Same with shoes - overlooked because they worked. Changes to the bike fit are included and bicycle are taking my bike in again to finalise the setup.

Overall great experience and thanks to Claire and the team.

In my never ending quest for addressing my pain points and comfort since I started riding 4 years ago. I have seen a couple of bike fitters back home. I have made so much progress and learned so much about my body that I was able to address in one way or another, things improved but never fully resolved.

Hence, I made the decision to fly to London and see James for an appointment, that was rescheduled a couple of times due to personal reasons from my side, but finally I was able to lock it in.

My experience did not dissapoint, starting from being welcomed and greeted by Claire, to spending 3 hours with James that felt like only 30 minutes.

I gained so much knowledge and insight from my fitout session with James and identified areas that I did not suspect were the link or what could have caused my issues in the past.

I am now back home, and things are in motion to make the adjustments that were recommneded by James. As I am waiting for some items to arrive that will be installed and fitout adjusted based on my report. I will be testing my new setup over the next weeks and months and will be reporting my findings back to James and follow his guidance.

I would love to come back sometime in the near future and get my bike fit checked again in person by Bicycle. If you have done a bike fit in the past and feel you are still not satisfied back home, I would strongly recommend that you visit Bicycle Richmond team. It might be not cheap, but believe me it will be money well spent and will help you hopefully reach your goals.

Worth every penny.
Definitely worth the money to go through the full fitting experience. From understanding your goals to your physiology and then combining that with real rider feedback whilst on the jig is the recipe for getting an optimal fit. I would highly recommend any cyclist goes through the full fitting experience, especially BEFORE a bicycle is purchased.
Claire was brilliant - highly skilled, friendly and patient.
Only time will tell but with this fit and another 250 watts on my FTP, I could be challenging MVDP and Tadej.

Visited for a bike fit for the wife and myself with Dan Coombes. The main goal was to get more comfortable, to help with riding for longer and to get guidance on options for new bikes if necessary.

The process highlighted how difficult this would be to do at home and the transformation throughout the process was significant. The initial interview and physical evaluation is thorough, and feeds into the process potentially identifying physical limitations or movement restrictions that can impact the choices and changes made during the fit. The entire process took around 3hrs each and was very thorough and never felt rushed.

If you enjoy cycling and are in any way uncomfortable or not feeling like you are performing at your best, I strongly recommend a visit to Bicycle for a bike fit.
