DO NOT USE THIS COACH COMPANY!!!

I booked a coach from Calcot, near Reading, to go to the London Stadium where Take That were performing in June. Hoping this would take the pressure off getting a train or driving and enjoying a coach journey, door to door. There were 4 of us all paying £45 each for the journey to the Stadium plus a return journey.

How wrong were we???!!!

Our coach pick-up time was 1pm, but the coach arrived about 1.10pm. It certainly wasn't the 'luxury' coach I was expecting and had read about on the website. This was a rickety old coach without toilets. Anyone who was sat by a window seat had heat bellowing out, burning their legs. The coach driver didn't know how to turn the heating down and blamed the engine for this. The aircon was on but didn't make any difference at all. It was unbearable with temperatures outside of 34°. The coach had come from Bristol and was nearly full, and people were complaining about how bad it was.

We had one more stop to pick up 5 other people, but the driver didn't know where he was going. Someone on the coach knew the people being picked up and called them asking where they were. They had to direct the driver to them. This added an extra 20-30 minutes to our journey.

The driver made his way towards London, but the coach didn't sound good at all, plus it was sweltering inside. We stopped at Beaconsfield services for about 15-20 minutes. We were all about to get on the coach, but the coach wouldn't start. So our coach had now broken down and wasn't going anywhere.

After everyone had been hanging around outside in the heat, the coach driver did say that another coach would be on its way, but he had no idea how long this would be. It could take hours.

We ended up getting an Uber to the stadium, which was still a 2-hour journey away.

We didn't arrive at the stadium until 6 o'clock. Having missed the first act and only seeing the last 10 minutes of the Script. Not the day we were expecting at all.

We had no clear instructions on where the coach was going to meet us for our return journey, only that it was a good 30-minute walk away in a multi-storey car park. They didn't send any postcode, so it was guesswork.

There was an emergency number that we did call, and the girl was very helpful, but she did inform us that the coach had actually left without us!!!

Here we were, 4 women stranded in London at midnight, without a ride home that we had all paid for!!! We ended up getting another Uber, as by now no trains were heading our way home.

I did email the coach company, who didn't apologise but did refund a total of £90.00!!! This was half of what each of us had paid. They have kept £90.00 for us not getting to the Stadium and leaving us stranded in London.

This really wasn't good enough, and I have emailed them again but have not heard back from them.

No compensation for all the stress we endured or the cost of our Ubers but instead they kept half of our money.

Truly awful experience. Late pick up, unscheduled stops, drivers unaware of routes, unroadworthy buses with no Aircon, Toilet facilities in disgusting condition.
No guarantee the return will be in operation and may leave you stranded, you are welcome to try to use the helpline number, but it will be out of service, or you will be hung up on! The onsite ‘staff’ are truly clueless and unless you need someone to stare blankly at a clipboard they offer no use. Communication via email will take a minimum of 7 days to get an impersonal response where they will try to fob you off with a goodwill gesture discount for a future travel experience with them!!!?
Anyone in their right mind should avoid these shoddy thieves. You will also note they only reply to the positive feedback on here. Avoid at all costs!
*Update* in response to the BGCC reply: Yes the team have 'reached' out to me and despite both journies and event being affected/ruined an insulting 50% of my outward journey was offered??? nowhere near what would be considered as acceptable. I responded immediately and still await a suitable response. Essentially this is a company that subcontracts to the cheapest tender and washes their hands of any responsibility! the driver himself told us he was drafted in at late notice with no idea what the schedule or instructions were!

Excellent service.
They even waited a few minutes for my daughter and her friend who were repeatedly given incorrect directions by the stewards - sending them back and forth. I have her on life 360 and you could see her zig zagging being sent wrong way.
So no stars for Wembley stewards but full marks for Big Green Coach for waiting a few minutes for 2 young girls after the My chemical romance gig! Thank you!

I went to see The Cure in Cardiff in June and booked the coach bundle option with BGC.
It was the hottest day of the heatwave.

Our driver was incredibly friendly, professional and very punctual. Not to mention I was so grateful thw coach had A.C

The booking process was very simple and the overall online communication (email and updates) were consistent and very good.

This was my first experience using BGC and based on this experience, I highly recommend them.

Went to Boyzone concert at Emirates stadium. Fabulous drivers were friendly reliable will definitely use their service again.

On our travel day, we arrived 30 minutes early. As someone who suffers from anxiety, I wanted to ensure everything went smoothly. Unfortunately, the listed pickup point at the bus station did not exist, and no station staff could direct us.

When I tried to get help, the support was non-existent:
• Phone: The helpline went straight to voicemail, ironically stating they are "only open on days of travel."
• Email & Facebook: Both channels sent automated replies promising a 7-day
response window, which offered zero comfort during an active travel emergency.

My companion and I had to walk up and down the station in a panic, watching every single vehicle. The coach ultimately arrived a few minutes late because the driver, Keith, had been given the exact same incorrect location details. He was also dealing with incorrect information as passengers from one stop didn’t turn up and then twice as many at the next stop!.
Keith was fantastic. He was warm, friendly, and even gave everyone his mobile number at the venue to ensure no one got left behind—which saved several passengers later on. Keith deserves five stars, but Big Green Coach's logistics and emergency customer service were completely unacceptable and incredibly triggering for my anxiety.

Used this for a group Harry Styles trip - where the drivers were friendly, fun (played onedirection and harry the whole way there the vibes were elite) and the process smooth. Also recently used the customer service team with help sending a ticket to someone else, super lovely and wonderfully helpful! Would recommend to anyone!

I really like the idea of taking all the hassle away for a concert so booked this. The journey up to the concert was great, hottest day ever and this took all the stress away. Parked quite a distance from the venue or which I wasn’t familiar with but the fun started at the end of the night ….. had a deadline to be back at the coach of which was made but an hour later on the hottest night of the year we were locked in the car park by the security team due to a bill not being paid!!! Really not impressed as everyone on that coach had paid on booking and did not expect to be held within a car park in London due to an error with the company. Complained as this should never have happened as our ticket was paid up front and had to be part of a dispute between the companies. Due to leave London at 11.15 and finally got back to Maidstone at 2am!!

The Big Green Coach provides an excellent service from start to finish. The advance booking process is simple and straightforward, and the pick-up points are easy to locate. Journeys are seamless and well organised, making travel to and from events stress-free.

The staff are always friendly, professional, and happy to help. Even on the day of travel, the customer service team is available to assist with any last-minute queries, often responding promptly with a call back. Their excellent customer care makes the whole experience enjoyable and hassle-free. I would highly recommend Big Green Coach for event travel.

Our original coach didn't turn up, a different coach picked us up which had the heating on on the hottest day of the year! Coach broke down at Beaconsfield Services on the way to the London Stadium. Had to get an Uber to the Stadium or else we would have missed the support acts. Recovery coach turned up after 5.45. After the Take That concert the coach left London without us leaving 4 ladies stranded in London at midnight! I called the emergency number and spoke to the call handler we told her where we were and asked if the driver would pick us up as they knew where we were. The driver said NO twice. I knew their answer would be the coach drivers hours but how will we ever know that?! We were so stressed & worried WHERE IS THEIR DUTY OF CARE, we got an Uber back to Reading after a very stressful day. I CURRENTLY HAVE AN ONGOING COMPLAINT WITH THIS COMPANY WHICH HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED!!!!

Great idea to save a designated driver the journey, parking and can also enjoy or drink or two. Reasonably priced, comfy coach with toilet, brilliant driver. Would certainly use again to get to a concert or event. Easy to book tickets online and tickets sent closer to the departure day.

Travelling with BGC took all the stress out of our Harry @ Wembley experience. Easy to book, efficient service, comfortable coach, brilliant parking close to venue. I will certainly use them again.
One wish? A closer to home pick up / drop off eg Ashby de la Zouch!

Booked return coach to the Take That Manchester gig from Chester. Reasonable price, Coach turned up on time, clean and comfy, toilet on board and air con worked (hot day). Once everyone on board we set off - no delay - no queuing in traffic getting out of the stadium. Hassle free. Would use again.

My partner and I purchased the Big Green Coach ticket to travel to and from Anfield stadium for My Chemical Romance.

There are many, many positives, but I'll start with the negative. The pickup location for the return trip was not advertised. The event staff weren't aware of the company's existence. Stressful, especially considering the drivers don't have a list of passengers which could be useful for a roll call, and don't even check tickets.

The silver lining is that Big Green Coach are clearly prepared for this eventuality. I found a contact number in my confirmation details. Despite the late hour the phone was picked up immediately and the staff were approachable and helpful, sending me a Google Maps link via text. Furthermore, uniformed BGC volunteers became aware of the situation and were heading from the pickup point to the venue to alert travellers who may not have found the contact number.

Conceptually, it's a brilliant service. Having a guaranteed journey back home from a concert in a different city is convenient and cost-effective, considering you don't have to pay for accommodation and take extra time off work. In that sense it's very reasonably priced.

Great communication on the trip details (except the return location) and it was shockingly easy to change the pickup location (we moved to a different city about a month before the show). The coach is comfortable, air-conditioned, a pleasant journey. It will be my first choice for all future concert travel plans.

Appalling experience, no tickets checked, no names taken, missed first part of Metallica concert Cardiff, due to parking coach issues, was told to be back by 10.30pm latest although booking said 11.15pm or he would drive off and leave us! We missed last half hour of concert, arrived at coach on time to be told he wasn't going our way back! In a panic we had no idea how we were getting home, none other of this firm coaches would let us on, in the end we got on a private hire coach, amazing driver who drove us back, thank goodness or we would've been stranded in Cardiff! No coach left til 11.35pm so we missed end of concert for no valid reason!

On informing green bus company, no apology, no refund or reimbursement of wasted concert ticket and coach fare as return journey never happened.

I will never use this company again and the concert I was so excited for turned into a nightmare for us, the most stressful, scariest time I have ever experienced going to a concert!

Booked for Metallica at London Stadium from Coventry. Did exactly what it said it would. Got us to the concert on time. Was exactly where it said it would be for the return journey. There was a toilet and air con. Driver was helpful. Would definitely recommend.

I used Big Green Coach for the first time on 7/7/26 to see BTS at Tottenham from Oxford. The booking process was clear and easy, and communications were good. The driver was friendly and helpful. The coach was comfortable, and the air conditioning was very welcome on a blisteringly hot day. We were dropped close to the stadium and given good directions on how to find the coach after the gig. Post gig, we waited a quite a long time to leave - possibly due to passengers not showing up. We eventually left, but got home in good time. I would definitely use them again.

Took a Big Green Coach from Reading out to see Belle & Sebastian / Saint Etienne at Wasing On The Mount. Arrived well before gate opened a secured a prime spot for the gig

No bumper to bumper free for all after the show, just a smooth drive back to catch a train home. It's the most painless and pleasant way to travel to an outdoor show . Easy to book, great friendly service and no hassle

Travelled to London Stadium to see Take That on 25 June. At that time the hottest day of the year. The coach was 30 mins late. Fair enough we were advised. Unfortunately the coach had no aircon and it was almost unbearable after 2 1/2 hours. We weren't told by the driver where to be picked up on return but by another passenger. When we returned the coach wasn't there but in a coach park nearby which wasn't visible. There were about 30 of us looking around. Finally, the driver didn't appear to know where he was going and was relying on passengers sat navs.
