Stay Away! "Blues" is a Rogue Loser Moderator

I was a paid member for 12 years and then without knowingly violating of the "rules" I was banned by the heavy-handed moderator Blues. She first threatened me regarding markings on sales post photos and then minutes later and without any further communications locked my post and banned me. Looking around the Internet I find many, many instances of Blues banning people with similar situations. Stay away and definitely do not become a paid member!

Bunch of male Karen’s.

Got told about this forum today when wanting some information on an old Land Rover pocket knife I had from the 90’s. Some of the biggest male Karen’s I have ever came across in all my life, I was banned by an admin called “blue” after replying to some comments stating how defensive everyone is on this site. It’s clear to see when doing a bit more research that this community is extremely disliked, Wouldn’t waste your time whatsoever with this site.

Scam laden website

Scam laden website, full of trolls, completely mis-managed and ill-adequate to service any online community. Should be inspected and shutdown due to selling dangerous materials without validating identification or age prior to sales. This is a horrible company and business to partake in a venture with and shouldn't even be allowed to exist due to failing to create proper procedures to protect the safety of it's customers.

Incorrect information imagical design knives.

24 year old out of date threads containing incorrect information about my flip knives. Some of them are posted before I won the Blade magazine " Most innovative imported knife if the year" award in June 2000. Blade forum refuses to remove these posts which are comments on my prototype models and ideas and written by members who had never seen the final production knife the - I.D.2000 dpi flipknife.

I've been a member for a long time but…

I've been a member for a long time but over the years have started to become more and more irritated.

Politics (outside of political sub-forums) is strict no-no as long as it suits the taste of the boomer echo chamber. Any arguments are met with suitable closure.

Lots of discussion - no matter how appropriate - is met with hostility by tired frustrated members.

The sub-forums that allow more freedom with discussion are filled with yahoos of antivaxers, flat earthers and tinfoil hats.

The "whine & cheese" used to be sub-forum for bullying members that they seemed to put it behind the paywall now.

Such a weird place and sad testament to the death of forums. I'd suggest going somewhere else where the looneys haven't figured out to go yet.

I am a long time member who decided to renew a paid one year membership. Several months into the renewal my account was abruptly banned despite being a member in good standing with no history of infraction or warnings. Emails on the matter went completely unanswered. It seems like a scam to get people’s money and then ban them to save on server fees or some other unknown reason.

They will take your money and then ban you from the site

There is a growing tide of people leaving Bladeforums.com due to "Blues" banning people and just being an all around bully, here is another example.

Look at the dialog between "Blues" (moderator) and "kod"(paying customer) on a simple change issue that just required the owner to revert to the old site setup (and likely pay the increased monthly fee to the internet provider for storing extra emails).

Typical on Bladeforums.com - Blues threatens the paying customer that he can and will revoke his ability to access the forums (which the customer paid $35 for), just because
Blues - "That's considerably snarkier than called for. If that's your attitude, I'll be happy to send Spark the cost of your membership when you leave."
This was in response to -
kod- "Similarly, it's solely up to the customers of the site whether to continue paying for the service.I am more than happy to volunteer my time to help solve a basic technical problem if the suggestions given so far don't work for some reason. If the owner is simply unwilling, I'll be voting with my wallet."
Which is just stating the truth.
(Blues is in this case goading the customer, hoping that they will say something to or about him so that Blues can enforce the Bladeforums rule "Abuse to Staff (Sassin' the Mods) - 40 points Major Spam / Trolling - instant ban"
This rule allows Blues to immediately ban the paying customer.)
-> In this case they relented and many customers then kissed up to "Blues" for fixing it.
Typical bully and mob behavior. When there is a problem, even a big problem causing a potential business shutdown, sit back and don't say anything hoping that someone else bring it up. (shoot the messenger...) Then when the bully does relent and fix it praise them so that you remain on their good side.
Remember - in this case all the owner "Sparks" - Kevin Schlossberg had to do was revert to the way the system worked before...
That is the climate on Bladeforums.com right now.

[Since kod has both Gold and Basic member under his name, that means that he had to pay first for the Basic $10 and found that he couldn't send enough messages to do anything, so he paid for Gold $35. So that's $45 - all in one year. This is pretty common on Bladeforums
It appears that onestopknifeshop.com is part of the same business. Oh- and try to search them online for Google Reviews. ("google reviews one stop knife shop louisville ky") You'll find that you'll get Heimerdinger Cutlery Company" - Shady ]

I love the people and the culture at Blade Forums. I don't know where else you could go on the internet to get access to this level and depth of knowledge and information. Also highly entertaining.

It's an immature knife cult that likes only certain brands

I was a member on Bladeforums for almost seventeen years and I left this year. I had less than 1,000 thread posts and became more of a reader due to the negative atmosphere of the knife cult that took over. The cult is a pack of brown-nosing consumers of certain knife brands, staff members of certain knife manufacturers, and knife retailers as a mesh of members and moderators. You're a liar or hater in their eyes if you bought one of their USA made knives and had quality issues with it. Then they go on their "Whine & Cheese" forum and cowardly speak ill of other members. It's past reflecting a great place to do research on knives new and old, domestic and foreign, history, and steel grade information due to older contributors. Most of those older contributors have been banned or don't partake in the site anymore due to how hostile and snobby it's become.

If you’re an aspiring knife maker avoid…

If you’re an aspiring knife maker avoid this forum unless you like being ridiculed and defamed for asking critical questions, especially of the asshat moderator Stacy E. Apelt. The forum is cliquish and borderline cultic. If your goal is to become a butt kissing lackey this site is for you. Otherwise avoid at all costs.

Admins slander customers and competition in their 'bad and ugly' forum

I joined bladeforums because I buy a lot of Busse and within a few days I was being trolled and any response or any request to the mods was a ban. They have banned me, my grandfather, at least 6 of my customers and a lot more of my friends simply for calling them out on lies and price gouging and silencing competition...much like jerzeedevil the place is just plain toxic and the few 'admins', which are actually the same people who run and work at the knife companies- are there to perpetuate lies about their own customers, which they have an entire thread for. If they find out you're making more money on a knife than they are or they just don't like you they will IP ban you and everyone you know, slander you on facebook, meetme, gab, twitter, slander your business, harass your family and all kinds of other stuff. They'll put you in their 'bad and ugly' forum after banning you because they know that slandering people this way is completely illegal and they don't want anyone arguing the other side...any time this forums gets a bad review they somehow make it disappear..time for that to stop. Spark, the owner of the forum, and Jerry Busse are a part of these lies and yes Amy and Garth and the others know about it as well and allow it to go on. Bladeforums is a dishonest community of trolls and slanderers and they are about as adult and mature as a bunch of 4 year old children.
