We are first time buyers using the help to buy scheme and had no idea where to start with the process. Jonathan made everything about the different costs clear from the beginning.

Very disappointed. It would seem that unless you are not a first time buyer or perhaps your property is of high value then you will not be prioritised. I’m constantly having to email about what stage we are at. Considering the whole process started at the beginning of July and I’ve still not completed on an empty flat as a first time buyer I think is ridiculous. I was told that 18 files were put ahead of mine so it would seem that all those positive reviews are because of that.

Emma from Blain Boland & Co handled the conveyancing for both the purchase of our new property and sale of our former one. She diligently pursued, and resolved, some unclear matters relating to the new property’s deeds and the legal status of the unadopted road, as well as secured us an indemnity for the property’s window installation which lacked a FENSA certificate. Throughout the process Emma was friendly and approachable, and readily explained the various stages and the information we needed to provide. She was particularly helpful during a tricky stage with the exchange of contracts with the vendor, even agreeing to be contacted outside her normal working hours. Emma was similarly painstaking with regard to the sale of our former property, when necessary pursuing our buyer’s legal representative to expedite the exchange of contracts. All in all we were very pleased with the thorough and professional service Emma provided.
