BMW Extended Warranty “Comprehensive”
BMW Extended Warranty “Comprehensive” – Misleading Experience
I purchased the BMW Extended Warranty (Comprehensive) expecting it to be a real extension of the original BMW warranty. In reality, it feels like a separate, negotiable product with huge room for interpretation when a claim is made.
My BMW is 5 years old, never crashed, and I had a potential seal leak that caused a fault in the TMC module (SOS/emergency call system – a safety component). Despite this, coverage felt unclear and dependent on “findings” that can be interpreted in different ways.
If BMW sells something called “Comprehensive,” customers should get peace of mind — not arguments.
So honestly: is it worth buying a BMW anymore? Is it worth extending the warranty? Are BMW cars only meant to last 3–5 years?
