I have experience with winter boots for adults and kids rated to -34C in the past 6 years. All the boots are bulky, heavy and difficult to keep on the foot, no support for arch. Inserting extra insole doesn't help. Not good for kids to learn to walk properly, I noticed when we switched at 5yo to kamik boots and they don't know how to walk properly as they've been spending extra effort to keep the boot on the foot engaging different muscles. The main issue however is quality of the materials they use for the outer sole - it's designed to wear off in several months of active wear. My kids have been using bogs for two months on daycare walks and playgrounds and the hill area is completely worn off. I can't even say it was frequent wear. Yes, they do replace them within a year of purchase, but the new pair is wearing off same way. Which means it's designed this way. Good reviews are mainly due to excitement that one gets to extend the use for another several months. How about using better materials for the outer sole? why would they do it, if they can keep the inventory moving every year. I do not recommend these boots/shoes. Not worth your money and overpriced for the quality.

Used to be good quality but now is terrible. We have had three pairs within the family all develop holes within a few months. Unacceptable and will never but another pair.

I bought winter boots. They tell us once we receive the item that it can only be tried on carpet surface and have to show no signs of wear to be returned. However, you can't really tell by walking 1 min on carpet how things will feel. After 2 days, my feet are compressed on the top, and blood circulation is restricted because they are not high enough on the top of the foot. Which in turns makes you cold and creates inflammation on the foot. You cannot feel that within a few minutes inside on carpet. Second, because of the tightness and rubber material, there is no breathing of the feet. your feet sweat and then get cold. I'm only happy I got these on special because I cannot even return them because of their stupid restrictions.

Ordered a pair of sale boots to wear on the farm, and when they arrived the box was labeled as a 9.5 (as ordered) but it contained 8.5. Since its a sale item they want me to pay the $5 shipping to exchange it. That will be my last order from them. I didnt order the wrong size, you sent me the wrong size!!

Beware of this company. They completely ignore customers when their boots break barely a few weeks after purchase. Totally dishonest and illegal conduct. So many reports of extremely poor quality on thier ads and reviews. I’m now forced to escalate with consumer affairs. Go anywhere else.

I’m extremely disappointed with these shoes. They were advertised to handle temperatures down to -40°C, but that is absolutely not true in my experience. I live in Canada, and even at -15°C, my feet were completely cold.

They don’t insulate properly and do not keep warmth in at all. I expected much better performance based on the claims, but these were a huge letdown. I would not recommend them to anyone looking for real winter protection.

We love bogs boots. They are warm and waterproof. Their customer service is amazing. They honor their one year boots warranty and make it very easy to submit a claim. I highly recommend Bogs over any other shoe brand.

I have used Bog boots now for 15 years. With the lifetime warranty it came in handy when there was an issue. Up until my last pair I bought I was delirious with each purchase.
Now Bog has changed their warranty to just one year and the boots are made subpar. I have holes where the neoprene meets the rubber in front of my shin.
Can’t get the warranty because it’s only one year. I’ve had them 15 months.
I ventured into a store called Softmoc in Canada where I’ve always bought my Bogs. They only had two women’s boots to choose from.
Horrible craftsmanship.
I’m not sure what is happening to the company but I can’t in good conscience give them more than 1 star review and even that’s too much.

After 1.5 seasons of light use the back seam opened. I was told they had a great customer service team and went to considerable trouble following emails from the rep. The Claim Form wouldn't accept the pictures, and when I sent a screen shot asking for assistance the communications stopped. I called twice before speaking to someone who told me to email pics and info to the email address I'd been using. I got a quick response from same rep offering me a $50 credit to be used with the online store only.
OK, that's something. But why would I spend more money on a product that failed? I'd have preferred an option to send them back for a repair, shipping label provided.

I bought the brown leather mongrel smart boots
Delivery was on time, the boots were slightly on the big side for my foot but I’d rather that than be to tight
I must say I have several pairs of RM Williams and the quality of the mongrel boots and colour was very good
Would definetly buy for big boots up again

Terrible customer service, wouldn’t even offer to repair a manufacturing issue with the boot or give a 10% discount on a new pair

I have for many years purchased Bogs Craftsman work boots absolutely great.
The problem now is they have upgraded to a new version to saucier chelsea 2. Why did they change to these I have had to replace 2 pairs within 4 months as the soles separated. I would not recommend these new style personally. Now I have to find outer waterproof boots that probably won’t be as comfortable.

I love my Bogs. I purchased the Crandall II Mid Gumboots as I live on acreage and walk my dog every morning across frosty fields and creeks. My feet remain dry and warm, the grip is fabulous and they have clever design features like a little groove on the ankle for getting them on and off. I put some WD40 on the zip every now and then just to keep it opening easily. Highly recommended. I love them!

I bought bogs boots for my kids for years but honestly they don't last. They say '4 season boots' but they wont LAST 4 seasons let alone more than one cycle.

The sole wears smooth, the inside lining tears.. kind of garbage to be honest

Seriously in the snow maybe they are ok the first year but the next year they are smooth and slippery as hell. Most of them leak after one season.

One time they were on sale so I got a few pairs. By the time I went to use one pair I discovered the boots were two different sizes. Not marked sizes..physical sizes. They didn't replace them they just offered me credit for them returned. since they were on sale and prices had risen I couldn't replace them for the same price.

you're better off buying cheap walmart boots and replacing them every season.

Purchased a pair of mid-calf rose garden pattern gum boots. Have only worn them a handful of times but noticed that they are leaking at the seam between the boot and the sole.

I actually ordered one size up in some gumboots to wear outside for work, and they were far too tight around the legs, too loose around the foot so my heal would rub against the back but I tried them on with just shorts and some socks where for work I actually need to wear long pants so they would need to tuck in to the boots... Which is not possible because they are far too tight. I also have small legs. I'm a small petite female. The product was also super uncomfortable, other then the heal rubbing on the back, they dig into your feet. I only tried them on in the house, there is noway you could work in these boots. Really terrible. I returned them.

Bought some hard wearing bogs for dairy use. They lasted 4 months before the rubber split and letting water in the top of toe area. Not recommended, price for value.

Credit card not accepted; emailed explaning website problem but that i still wanted an item and gave product number etc. The Email i received was useless, probably a bot. Didn't resolve issue or even answer the question. So tried phoning haha leave us a message, is this a real business? Left a message, but what ive seen so far? Probably no response.

Tried to place an online order through US website. I got an error code for my credit card and it said try again. I tried it again. I got the same code. I stopped trying as it showed my items still in the cart. I also received one email saying my order wasn’t complete. I contacted my bank a couple days later to find out both orders actually cleared my account. I tried talking to Kevin C. Who claims he is the E-Commerce department manager. I asked to speak to his boss and he said he was the boss and didn’t have one. I explained that it looks like an IT problem and he said no it was my banks problem. It isn’t the banks problem it is the Bogs Footwear company problem. I have since read many reviews in which this problem has happened to other people. Kevin C claimed it was just a problem with my bank and none of the other customers have this problem. Kevin C is definitely giving this company a bad name because he has no customer service skills at all and was a complete jerk not willing to report the problem. I was going to give these boots a try but refuse to order from a company that treats their customers so poorly. Don’t buy from this company. If they can’t fix a problem on their website that has been there for years they don’t deserve to get anyone’s business! In the end I had to file a fraud complaint with my bank and wait 10 days to get my money back.

I was worried about buying boots online as I have a notoriously difficult time finding shoes & boots to fit my wide feet. I read other reviews & trusted the process and they have been in my house less than 10 minutes, & 5 of that was taking photos of the beautiful packaging & them on my feet to post photos to family and friends... .. Woop Woop. I am a size 9 so purchased the 40/9 and I wasn't sure if I would receive a floppy normal wellie size fitting or a regular boot fitting. The lining in the Bog photos looked thick & this also affected my judgement but I went ahead anyway. I put on thin cotton socks and the boots fitted like a glove, you know I mean boot but you get the idea. They are firm to wear without being tight. There is the usual little bit at the front and are perfect. If you are looking for a floppy wellie you will need to adjust your sizing. But I love, love love them. Tomorrow will be a dog walk in long grass so I can check them out in action. Thank you Bog xx
