First class professional removal service - the guys wrapped all our art very carefully and carried everything up to the forth floor in London briskly and efficiently helping unpack and taking all the cardboard & paper packing materials away, meaning we were comfortable in our new home on the first night. I noticed they had all the correct spanner's and alum keys with them to take apart our glass kitchen table and bed too! (Which they carefully put back together) highly recommend

Everything in the process was smooth sailing and a reasonable price too. The gentlemen that actually did the move were so polite and efficient. My experience was excellent.

The person who did the quote was polite and very informative. The 2 men who did the removal were very experienced, polite and kind. My items were stored and when I wanted delivery booked with no problems, I was even offered a cancellation which I gladly took. Again 2 men expertly put all things in rooms I wanted it. One was the same as collection and the other met Bournes high standards.

Honestly will never use again and will advise the same to anyone I know. I deliberately didn’t go with the cheapest quote because the initial consultation with Robert Hill was the most thorough of the three people I saw for our Woking move. It gave me the impression that paying more would get me a better service. I had two packers the day before and four on the day. Two more were allocated for the third day. The packers were friendly and worked hard, particularly Matt. Most of the things were overpacked to be honest and the amount of paper used was insane. However, there was clearly a rush on the morning of the moving day as I discovered later that really delicate bits of jewellery and make up in a drawer hadn’t been either secured or packed up separately. One earring each in five pairs has been lost in the move. The remainder was found in various other drawers as the cabinet had been tipped and moved around. To my mind, it was clearly a mistake given the care taken with the rest of my things but the way the office handled it afterwards I cannot forgive or tolerate. I was told first of all they couldn’t find them in their van but no apology offered or feedback from the guys having told me they’d speak to them. Then they told me they don’t pack drawer items separately. Then they suggested I should have packed ‘personal effects myself’ , something never discussed at the outset and not something I expected to do given the price I paid for packing. After delays in responding to me, they now say jewellery not covered on their insurance so nothing they can do. All just left a bad taste and the handling of it has been very poor. I'd be very wary of using them if this is how they treat customers after they’ve been paid and they have nothing to gain.

Pat and the team were excellent and we would highly recommend. We had some access issues at our previous address but the team managed to speed through and get everything moved in around 6 hours. Everything was handled with care and the price was very competitive. Thanks all!

I have moved house twice in the last five years, including dismantling the large family home of 50 years to move into a 3 bedroomed flat and then to a detached 4 bed house on remarriage. I supervised the dismantling of my new husband’s house of 40 years ~ including distributing furniture and machines amongst his children over 3 different counties. Bournes were recommended and proved to be far superior to the other two companies I had used. Efficient, flexible and very helpful, sorting what went where and travelling long distances to the various venues on the same day. They were punctual to the minute and coped with awkward accesses (including hauling furniture over neighbouring fences to gain access and tackling the fact that the only property access was a door 27” wide and some of the furniture had to be taken apart and reassembled. I give them 5 stars without any hesitation.

First things first. Don’t ever use this company! Morally and ethically they are bankrupt.

We used Bournes to move our household items from the UK to Oz. As part of this process we paid £200 extra to ‘create’ up our expensive bluestone outdoor table. This creating was the only additional product we purchased from them. In summary they ‘forgot’ to create said item and when it turned up in Oz wrapped in just paper (not even bubble wrap) it was broken in dozens of pieces…. Bournes response ‘sorry we forgot to create it & we will refund you the £200 and offer you £40 compensation’. This is a £3k table.

I am beyond rage with their morally bankrupt and blaze attitude.

Don’t use them, stay a million miles away from them.

Right from the quotation with Andy, the paperwork with Julia to the team pack and moving- the whole experience was amazing. The team worked very well when packing and when we were in the new property. The communication amongst the team and with ourselves was fantastic too. Nothing was too big of an ask. They were understanding with our cats needing to be locked away too.
If we were to move again, we would chose Bournes again. We highly recommend!!
