I have so far found the service excellent, although can be frustrating being told when telephoning to make contact later, but actually and pragmatically it is quite understandable in that the service is free and it seems likely to be based on the use volunteers. Overall my experience to date has been an extremely positive one and I am prepared to make further calls however long it takes to conclude the very important advice that I need to solve or at least aid a critical business financial & private problem.

They supported me in a time when I felt I had nowhere to turn to for help.

Until I spoke to Citizens Advice initially, and was referred, I never knew this service existed. No reason to ever search for it. Of course, through my business, I ended up in a bit of a pickle. I did use the chat service 3 times, not because I wasn't given proper advice, but because I was afraid to follow the particular advice. Eventually I made a phone call and once I was connected to an advisor, I had an absolutely amazing experience. I received genuine empathy, and the advice was amazing and I felt so reassured. You can tell these people are not reading from a script. I know I will be in touch with BDL in the future, and I will most certainly recommend the service to my business contacts.

Good honest advice which helped initially with utility debts.

I have to say I was extremely impressed with the depth of information and advice I was given by the amazing human that is Mark! I was anxious and extremely stressed when we initially spoke and he was calm, kind and patient with me. The fact that he kept reassuring me through the 1 hour call made me feel like someone actually understood my current situation and actually had a solution. His advice and follow-up email was very detailed and I am so grateful. Thank you Mark! The only down side is that I couldn't get intouch with anyone for a follow-up question a few days later. I was on hold for 5 days up to 2 hrs max. Aside from this the initial process was worth the 1 hour wait on hold and 1 hour advice time. I highly recommend this service.

I never really give any feedback for anything but I thought it was appropriate here. I honestly can’t thank Darren enough for the help he’s given me. From the first conversation, he was approachable, knowledgeable, and genuinely interested in helping rather than just giving generic advice.

Easy to explain and very helpful

I found the advisors knowledgeable and able to understand my situation giving me easy to understand solutions, the two advisors I had were very supportive as I have a hearing difficulty, they were patient.
