Although the food, drinks, and entertainment were great, all of that fades if you feel extremely tired. Firstly, the accommodation was very cold and not clean, and on top of that, the bed in the maste... Ver más

Not bad
Not bad, back from the 70’s weekender in Skegness, arrival was efficient with clear instructions on where to go and what we needed to do, room was as clean as expected, few marks on the carpet but you get what you pay for, most of the fairground rides were closed, mainly due to it being a kid free weekend, although the go karts we’re doing a roaring trade. The acts booked for the Friday and Saturday nights were really good, Blondied and Royal Rhapsody are well worth a look at, bars were organised and you got served fairly quickly, prices are a little steep but it’s a captive audience so what do you expect, there is a couple of bad points, some of the staff were blunt to say the least, and the food was absolutely awful, for the price you pay I wouldn’t bother with the food package, the atmosphere over the weekend was the best thing, really friendly group that were great fun, would I do it again? Maybe
We recently visited Butlins Skegness…
We recently visited Butlins Skegness and I was pleasantly surprised! After reading some pretty poor reviews I couldn't believe what these people moan about! The park was well kept, the grounds were lovely and looked great all lit up at night! The entertainment was brilliant and the accommodation was lovely and clean. We had a fab four day break that cost
less than £100. What do people expect for that price? Well done Butlins, big thumbs 👍 up from us
The New Pool
The New Pool
This was great and fun but we were not told we need a one pound coin for the lockers! You get the one poud back so why have this preocedure in the first place! Lockers that just lock! No one has coins anymore! Get with it Butlins! Your custoners are mostly under 40 with young families.
Fun Fair
The fun fair looks dirty, outdated and tired. Maybe best to replace or at least give rides
a lick of paint. Some rides were not working such a swings at the time of the review.
Cusromer service
This was poor in all coffee shops, bars and restaurants I visited. It took a long time to be given any kind of service. Pay machines needed updating and were painfully slow.
Spar experience
At £25 this was not good value. Jacuzzi was being fixed so no bubbles. In main pool lots of massage features were not working. Chairs & lounges were all faded and desperately needed replacing. The mens changing room was dirty and untidy. Towels left lying every where and empty drink bottles left every where. Staff should have a better eye for the overall look and cleanliness of the spa area.
Bad customer service
group book every year with butlins, and spend £1000s, which includes food package, one of the group, has been in hospital and very poorly, we wrote to butlins and we felt it was AI who was speaking with us, no refund on food package for this one person, very poor outcome, wont be booking again, there loss.
Butlins bognor
A birthday treat to Butlins bognor. Sadly the facilities need an overhaul. Accommodation was very disappointing and filthy second bedroom was damp and smelt like an ashtray. Made my asthmatic son so ill we had to cut short our holiday and leave after 2 nights. The entertainment facilities were not much better the overpowering smell from the toilets made it difficult to enjoy the performances. The only good point is the redcoats and staff at this Butlins are super friendly and helpful.
Failed to handle reasonable adjustments for a disabled customer
I am a disabled customer and requested a date change for my Butlins booking (Ref: 12968658) due to a health condition. Despite this being a right under the Equality Act 2010, I was refused assistance, placed on hold repeatedly, and denied escalation to a manager.
I spent nearly three hours on the phone, was pressured to pay a fee for a change I had not authorised, and received a system-generated email demanding payment, causing unnecessary stress and panic. Staff repeatedly referred only to their Terms & Conditions instead of their legal obligations to make reasonable adjustments.
While the booking was eventually amended and a small fee refunded, the poor handling, stress, and disregard for legal duties were unacceptable. I have escalated this matter to the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).
I hope Butlins uses this feedback to train staff properly on disability rights and reasonable adjustments, and prevent this happening to others.
Entertainment and premises
The complete site requires renovating. Shower screen broken, did get repaired. The carpeted areas, stink and definitely a health hazard, I couldn't stay long, stunk to high hell. Toilets disgusting.
Didn't come to listen to mostly DJs, very few live acts. Disappointing, DJs .do not interact with the audience One DJ Saturday around 4ish excellent, felt included.got everyone dancing .
Other DJs did not speak or interact with the audience, may as well make a playlist, put a dummy behind the stand. Absolutely crap

HELL ON EARTH
After having a week to process the unforgettable experience of Butlins Skegness I am now able to provide what doesn't seem so much of a review, but a warning for whoever is thinking of delving into this absolute sess pit of chavvy unemployed pondlife.
We arrive at our shabby looking apartment in the lobster quay section amongst hallowed maze of tired flakey paintwork and mold covered window sills. Almost instantly my 3 year old son finds a happy birthday balloon under the bed which doesn't sound apocalyptic but already demonstrates the pitiful cleaning job done beforehand, this was also noticeable after seeing the large brown stains of some sort of God awful bodily feculence on the bed sheets. After being in this dust covered shack for 5 minutes I came to the realization of our optimistic error and dreaded the week ahead.
The food hall is vast sea of screaming children, toothless mouths and universal credit. Between the gypsy children throwing milk around and useless parents letting their trouser goblins run amuck you tuck into a plethora of hearty meals such as pizza and chips, chicken nuggets and chips or a cottage pie that I swear was moving and pulsating on the tray like something off an alien movie. If the clientele don't put you off the staff are also a sight to bewilder, it's like butlins has assembled the avengers of freaky mutants to distract you from your surroundings. And after a long day of watching rude children push in line in front of your own on the rides for lack of braincells or manners, you can then go in the arcade which one of the nights looked like the inside of the batcave for the amount of foul vomit decorating it. In conclusion if you have an ounce of self respect or sense avoid this place like the plague my favorite moment of the entire holiday was getting back in my car and leaving this delapadated braindead troll infested tramp hole as far behind me as possible.

This is a review of the xperience bar…
This is a review of the xperience bar at butlins bognor.
We visited the bar to watch the England womens rugby team in the world cup on 27 Sep.
The bar was packed with fans of the team. As soon as the game was over, the bar manager changed channel to a football game that nobody was there to watch and put the after match of the rugby on a second screen with no sound.
The entire audience requested to watch our NATIONAL team celebrate a WORLD CUP WIN and he refused, despite the large crowds protestations. In fact he literally said the words "try and do my job"
This is disgusting and totally disrespectful not only to the customers but to our NATIONAL TEAM.
Butlins should be ashamed of this misogynistic and jobs-worth behaviour, obviously Butlins has no regard for our proud women's team.
0 STARS ARE NOT AVAILABLE OTHERWISE THIS WOULD BE A 0 STAR REVIEW.
I would like to know why your company…

Date of experience was September 18th 2023
Wonderful week
It was a wonderful place, amazing red coats, amazing shows and performances. Only shame is I can’t stay for butlins big weekender but other than that it’s been a very good week
Butlins Skegness - Dirty, run down and pest infested. What a dump!
Butlins Skegness - Just don’t do it.
Rooms were filthy with months of built up grime on skirting boards, radiators and door frames. Mould around windows. Dirty, stained setee and carpets. Broken furniture and peeling sharp laminate on old battered chipboard cupboards. Serious infestation of ants in kitchen area due to spillages and rotting food at the sides of the fridge that had obviously not been cleaned from many previous occupants. On-site facilities limited. Eateries poor and overpriced. Customer services uninterested and complaints procedure laughable.
Avoid!
Went to Bognor
Went to Bognor. Regis for a David Essex weekend. Firstly we had a very long walk from carpark to accommodation with no trolleys available. So our accommodation we had no hot water for the whole 4 days we was there no lock on toilet. Quilt in one single bed was dirty iron marks on carpet which was not clean . We had vip tickets and premium dining Never no seats in clubhouse when asked security guard he had bad attitude when I asked why can’t we get seat his answer was. Your talking to me like I’m responsible which all I asked was why no seats the food plates was always cold food hardly warm the best part of our holiday Was David he was brilliant Had to stand in dance floor to see him friend had 2 nd row seat she could not even see David only from screens .we never no lights either when walking through walkway to apartment the night before we was leaving the electric inside accomdarion further down our block had all gone off Also the reception was not available weekends. So I tried to go on chat to report water and guess what no chat available over weekend worst holiday ever
Complaints procedure is just crap
I really wish I could leave a positive review for Butlins, but unfortunately my experience with their complaints process has been extremely disappointing. A holiday resort is ultimately judged not just by the fun on offer, but by how they treat their customers when something goes wrong and on that front, Butlins failed completely.
When I made a complaint, I expected at least a basic level of care and attention. Instead, their team didn’t even know which resort my complaint was about or the details of the issue I raised. Worse still, they clearly didn’t bother to scroll down and read my original email. Their reply simply said they were sorry to hear what happened, that they had “thoroughly investigated” the matter, and that it was now “resolved.” But it was obvious they had no idea what my actual complaint was.
The more I communicated with them, the more I realised they weren’t investigating anything at all. In fact, this same frustrating experience happened twice. Their responses feel copy-pasted and dismissive, rather than actually customer-focused.
To make matters worse, on another occasion they started making up supposed “terms and conditions” out of thin air. When I asked them to send me a copy of the actual terms they were referring to, they couldn’t even provide an answer.
Overall, Butlins’ customer service and complaints process come across as careless, dismissive, and at times even dishonest. It leaves you feeling like they don’t value their customers at all once they have your booking.
Shameful Butlins Bognor !!
Butlins Bognor have shown "No Customer Care or Sympathy" following an incident there in August. My Nephew( A Senior Nurse) & young family went for their 4th visit, Unfortunately my Nephew choked on a piece of steak in a Butlins restaurant, this left him in a life threatening situation, blue lighted to Portsmouth trauma unit, life saving surgery to his esophagus and now a long road to recovery! Bless him x
As this happened on day 1 of their break I've contacted Butlins on numerous occasions, hoping that they would show sympathy to this family and give them a reasonable discount/ voucher for them to return when he's fit enough!
£51.58 is all that they offered and said " They are under no obligation to do so"
Absolutely shameful!!!
I hope no other family have to go through this or deal with such an appauling company!
Skegness
Butlin’s Skegness
Where do I start the rooms were disgusting wrappers on the floor it doesn’t look like it was cleaned at all
Staff on sight was rude to me and my partner on multiple occasions for absolutely no reason.
Everything is so overpriced and not even good quality. Most of the food places on sight was shocking but yet still expensive.
You can smell weed almost all the time few people smoking it outside the club and none of the staff said anything even tho they was many kids around. as a smoker myself I always go off sight out the way from the general public no one and especially kids should not have to smell our dirty habbit that’s common courtesy. Smoking near kids is a big no no. And to top it off the customer service couldn’t have been any worse
I would not recommend to anyone Save your money and go somewhere else.
Disabled
I contacted butlins as we have made a booking for next year, to request a room without any steps and one in which I can move around in my wheelchair.
I was then informed if I want a disabled room i would have to pay to upgrade which is disgusting that disabled people are charged more.
I am considering cancelling my booking as it is not right to be treated this way.
Found drugs in the apartment for the…
Found drugs in the apartment for the cleaner to say it was an adult weekend witch doesn’t justify the situation, when we have young children we called the services and they sent out the managers for cleaning to witch they come in and was agreeing with me saying yes we will tell them this and see if we can move your room I waited 30 mins no call no contact nothing so recalled the customer service to witch the lady on the phone was rude and said the manager cleans said there was no evidence of drugs in the apartment as the cleaner cleaned this up despite seeing the photos I showed them and said there was no other rooms available we was done and just thought let’s go home as we wasn’t comfortable having our children in this apartment as we was leaving we see a man in a shirt looked like a manger we asked if he was a manager he explain he was for the cleaner witch we told him the situation he ended up saying he would come and have a look at the apartment when he arrived he pulled the cabinet and boom a massive lump of white drugs he took a phone on his phone and said he will get this sorted asap we recalled the customer service as we really wasn’t happy our small children could have put this in there mouth and there body’s wouldn’t of coped they didn’t take any off this serious at all they said they can move us to a new apartment witch we agreed even though they said there was no other apartments we went to the new room it wasn’t as bad as the first but my oldest children found a drug bag and all the cups was dirty and wasn’t cleaned we was sick and tired of keep complaining as its ruined our experience here. They come out took the drugs bag and cleaned the cups and got a cleaner to clean the room. I just think they know children come to the resort and they know any drug will kill a child yet they allow there cleaners to not clean correctly and allow adult weekends in kid friendly rooms I feel they should have a certain amount of rooms for adult weekends and no put children in them…
Are you ready (NOT) to Butlins
Brought a food and drinks all inclusive package but so far every time we want a drink I have had to pay for it. So far after having 2 hots drinks for my wife and I costing around £12 in total, that's 3 Tea'sand 1 coffee.
The food is okay, good in fact, if only we could get it while it was still hot, but that's not possible as it's like feeding the monkeys at Longleat, and the noise is awful with kids being allowed to bang on the tables. We are 67 and 64 and neither of us had ever been to Butlins, it's supposed to be a holiday where everything is done for you, but it doesn't matter what I ask or it seems who I ask for some guidance there is a standard answer for everything, and that is download the app, the app has all the information you'll ever need, but it doesn't tell you anything about what is on in the evening or which venue it's supposed to be at. All in all I feel completely justified in advising people NOT TO GO TO BUTLINS we will never come to Butlins again, I'm sure for seasoned holiday maker's that have been to Butlins many times before it's great as they know what they are doing. Getting information from Butlins staff is like pulling teeth, hard and painful.
Addition to my earlier review
Our rooms are ok functional clean (ish) and adequate, however the rooms lack power sockets close to the beds, a problem for us as we are both suffering from sleep apnea and need to use C-PAP machines at night to ensure that we breathe ok throughout the night. No power sockets means we can't use our C-PAP machines which could mean one of us die during the night because the machines that ensure we breathe. Okay death really is a worse case scenario but it could happen so we asked the reception staff at the Wave hotel for extension leads so the machines could be used. 3 times we asked and nobody cared enough to take ownership of the problem and makes sure the leads were supplied.
This is an extreme failing of basic health and safety and someone MUST take this seriously and not just ignore the problem as the staff at the @ave hotel in bognor did. I will be writing to Butlins head office to make sure someone higher up knows how badly she staff are behaving.
