I gave them a video to license a year ago and now I’m trying to get out of the contract after they haven’t made any money off it. They have no responded to my countless emails to end this partnership. It’s a total nightmare. Do not give away your rights!

Dealt with Sam with a story on TikTok and found the whole process very simple and they were all lovely to deal with :)

Worked with caters a 9 months ago for one of my TikTok videos were all go until it came to paying me then basically was told the employee I was dealing with had left was told to email about payment no response nothing don’t waste your time scammers… disgusting

I worked with Shannon Pickett at Caters. She was very thorough with her questions and very prompt with communication. The story that was then published later was true and honest with very minimal embellishments. I would work with Caters again.

Ben R reached out to me via TikTok after seeing my Game of Thrones collection. At first I was dubious but Ben was professional throughout. Within a few days he'd already got my story out there!

Can't thank him enough - the only thing that would top this is getting to be in a GOT show or go to a premiere!

Edit - It has been 5 weeks since my story was used in a couple of national papers. 1 of which Ben told me the story was in, the other I came across by chance and Ben nor anybody at Caters told me would be published.

I still haven't received any payment or any correspondence on when or how much I will be paid.

I've reached out to Ben and had no reply.

What I was hoping to be a fruitful relationship going forward as I was increasing my social media presence, which would have resulted in more stories to run, this has left a rather sour taste in my mouth.

I did appreciate being reached out to initially, with so much communication... Yet that all stops once they get your story it seems!

If you want your story to be told, but don't care about getting paid - it seems like Caters is the place to go.

The only reason I haven't rated 1 star is because I do appreciate the opportunity given at the start, but it now seems as though I've lost out on money I could have earned if I'd approached these publishers directly.

Ben was so helpful and walked me through every step of the process he was friendly and answered every question I had his story is brilliant about me and my haunted dolls I highly recommend

Always take a good shot at getting my work published and communicate well during the process. I’ve been really pleased with the results and Mike is a pleasure to deal with.

Annabelle is amazing. I posted a video of a pup that I rescued and she walked me through how to sign with Cater. She answered all my questions and was so quick to respond. She also messaged me on her weekend, which i thought was incredible. I sent her the story of me rescuing Eddie, and she sent me her edits and the final draft, making sure to address some of the concerns(lame) that were in the comments of the original video. I would recommend working with her to anyone, especially animal rescues. She definitely has a passion for getting these stories out there.

I'd give zero stars if I could. Beth contacted me a couple of years ago about my story, and then last december my story was published in a magazine and I was promised by Beth I would receive payment for my story. I've not got a single penny and after several excuses she's now ignoring my messages. Her colleague Craig Hill "Contributor Management Lead" emailed me (8th feb 2024) to tell me it takes 4-12 weeks for invoices to clear and that he would email to arrange my payment. Its been over 12 weeks and I've emailed several times only to be ignored. Avoid using these, they make you sign a contract so only they can deal with your story and then they don't pay you what they owe/promise! I have taking it to the Ombudsman because this is pure scamming.

The story came out great , published on the web and in print which gave me a physical memory to last a lifetime

Beth was amazing, she was so excited to hear me and my husband’s story without judgement. I felt comfortable enough to share our journey and when it was all said and done she helped us go very viral which led to tv shows etc. very grateful for that opportunity.
