Nafeesa Javed and her team at Chadwick Lawrence handled my purchase of my new home with professionalism throughout. The transaction was more complex than a typical purchase, with my position as a sitting tenant buying from my landlord, a delayed completion, and significant new information about a neighbouring development emerging late in the process.
Nafeesa was patient with my questions, took time to explain options clearly, and gave me proper advice when difficult decisions needed to be made. When the original completion date slipped, the team worked to get a new date secured promptly, and the legal work was thorough and well documented.
The transaction was not without its moments, as is true of many property purchases, but Nafeesa and her team kept things on track and delivered a clean completion. I am grateful for their work and would recommend them to others looking for a careful, experienced conveyancing team.

Excellent service for two and half months leading to a successful completion today, at good cost too. Out Chadwick Lawrence team followed through with the house purchase speedily, searches and enquiries were thorough, and they always sent regular correspondence and set clear expectations on next steps. I am glad we had our purchase done through Chadwick Lawrence and would definitely recommend their services.

Worst conveyancing experience ever. Was given two separate conveyancers. One for sale and one for the purchase. The purchase conveyancer was A*, we had absolutely no issues with Nichola. She was lovely, prompt and polite. The issue lay with our selling conveyancer who was not prompt, unhelpful and sat on things for weeks. She also went on annual leave and didnt inform us in advance on one of the days we were looking to exchange contracts. There was no backup in place and the company refused to hand it over to another conveyancer. We raised a complaint with her team leader Vicky S who was just rude and a bully. Bearing in mind I was 8 months pregnant at the time, she laughed at me down the phone and pretended the line was bad to get me off the phone. She was then surprised when I lost my rag. No compassion in this woman whatsoever, absolutely heartless. A very stressful situation for me, made worse by a dismissive lady. The complaint was raised further to Sarah and she was threatening to throw our entire file out. The Company refused to then speak to me on the phone at all. I honestly would recommend you avoid this company and pay a little extra for some people who actually want to help you out and have a bit of humanity and morality. I definitely wont be using again.

What should have been a relatively straightforward process became a 7-month ordeal due to repeated delays, lack of communication, and poor case management. I regularly had to chase for updates, calls were never answered or returned, and important information was only provided after repeated follow ups. I had issues with fee transparency and lack of responsiveness at critical deadlines and escalation to management did not improve the situation. I have now submitted a formal complaint.

I would NOT recommend them. Pay a bit more to another solicitors instead.

Chadwick Lawrence handled both my late mum's probate and the sale of her house, and I was very pleased with the service throughout.
The probate process was dealt with efficiently and professionally by Angela, giving us confidence during what was a difficult time. Pam and Lydia were also excellent in managing the house sale. They kept everything moving and dealt expertly with the additional complexity of the property being unregistered with the Land Registry, as my parents had bought it back in 1962.
The sale was particularly emotional for our family, as the house had been our family home for over 60 years, and their professionalism and support were greatly appreciated. I would happily recommend Chadwick Lawrence to anyone needing probate or conveyancing services.

It was a very complicated process, but even though Rhiaanne, worked very hard to make it go smothly , tge processes take very long , still you guys tried to quickest as you can: like to chase the other side lawyer other than i would like to say thank you speciallt Rihanna

Made to feel at ease by Tom Grice who guided me through the process and recorded my wishes in a very understanding way and recorded them to be legally agreed and with due sympathy

Chadwick and Lawrence were very good. If I had any questions they always answered and we're very helpful. They also used an app, so I could check the progress and see what else was needed to be done. Would definitely recommend them brilliant.

I wanted to pay my Help to Buy Loan - Ben Hess helped with the process from start to finish. The AML bit was to and fro but his guidance was really useful. I would recommend their services highly. We completed well in time.

Kept informed throughout the process by our wonderful solicitor Iman and was very helpful and understanding with everything as we were first time buyers and didn’t know much about this process.

Very pleased with their service. Used them for conveyancing. The purchase was handled very well by Eleanor & Tia despite the vendor making things as difficult as possible. Also they have a great app to track the progress.

Extremely poor communication during a time-sensitive Help to Buy redemption. We started the process in January 2026.

We need this firm to complete outstanding solicitor-side actions so that we can repay our Help to Buy loan. Despite this being time-sensitive, my wife has sent three separate messages without reply. I also called the firm and left a voicemail.

I then sent a written message making clear that we needed confirmation by close of business of the exact outstanding actions, who owns them, and when they would be completed. That deadline passed and we still received no response.

This is not a complicated request. We are simply trying to understand what remains outstanding so the redemption can proceed. At the moment, we have no clear idea what stage the matter is at, what is being done, who is responsible, or whether anything is required from us.

The delay is causing us financial concern, including the need for a further valuation, an increased redemption figure, and the risk of the Help to Buy loan beginning to accrue interest.

In my opinion, the service has been unacceptable. We have now had to raise a formal complaint simply to try to get a response and get the outstanding work completed.
