Incredible trip with superb organisation!
Charlie's travels have made a difference in our trip to Kenya. The choice of activities, the guides, accomodations and services were fantastic. Our guide Clarence was instrumental in the execution of our trip and our driver during safari was very knowledgeable.
We really felt that we have experienced Kenya and Nairobi in particular in ways that would not have been possible without Charlie's Travels! Really good recommendation for your trip into Africa.

We had a great and memorable trip to Kenya with Charlie’s Travels. The itinerary was well designed and included amazing nature and wildlife experiences. Safaris in Meru and Nakuru, birdwatching near Mount Kenya, and the Nai Nami tour in Nairobi were true highlights. Our driver Pascal was outstanding – always reliable, knowledgeable about wildlife, and incredibly helpful throughout the trip.
Some accommodations were fantastic, especially Chui Cottage and the stay near Mount Kenya, where we enjoyed great food and warm hospitality.
However, there were also areas that could be improved. Communication about optional activities and daily planning was sometimes unclear or very last minute. A bit more transparency about additional costs, self-catering options and activity details would also help travelers plan better.
From a sustainability perspective, we appreciated visits to local projects and markets. At the same time, we would encourage even stronger focus on locally owned accommodations, deeper cultural encounters, and stricter wildlife-viewing practices in busy parks.
Overall, a very special trip with incredible nature and people.

Wij zijn afgelopen januari met Charlie’s Travel naar Tanzania en Zanzibar geweest. Wat een fantastische reis. We wilden naast de Big 5 ook het lokale leven ervaren, en dát hebben we gedaan, en wat hebben we ervan genoten Alles tot in de puntjes verzorgd door Charlie’s Travel 👍👍👍👍👍

Die Erwartungen waren groß, die Realität überwältigend. Eine toll geplante Reise mit einer gelungenen Mischung aus Naturerlebnissen und wunderbaren Begegnungen mit aufgeschlossenen und stets freundlichen Menschen. Die Tierwelt der Massai Mara und die große Migration, im Samburu National Park, am Lake Naivasha und am Lake Nakuru sind ein Paradies für Fotografen. Die Wanderungen auf den Mt. Longonot, um die Castle Forest Lodge und auf der Hängebrücke im Ngare Ndare Forest haben Spaß gemacht, der Sonnenaufgang auf dem Mt. Ololokwe wird uns immer in Erinnerung bleiben. Höhepunkte der Reise aber waren die Teilnahme am Familienleben beim Homestay in den Taita Hills und der herzerwärmende Kontakt mit unserem Fahrer Sam und unseren Führern wie Bernhard und Christian. Die Unterkünfte waren nicht immer luxuriös aber stets einzigartig. Diese Reise wird uns unvergesslich bleiben

We had an amazing 2-week trip with to Kenya with 14 girls. The itinarary matched our expectations perfectly. Judy was the best tour guide we could have wished for. She communicated very clearly and arranged everything perfectly. Even when there were challenges due to circumstantial issues, Judy made it happen. We're so thankful for everything!!

Ik ben al vaker in Afrika geweest met verschillende reisorganisaties, die allemaal goed waren. Maar Charlie's Travels is verreweg de beste ervaring tot nu toe! Een schitterende reis gemaakt door Namibie en Botswana met mijn dochter. Alles klopt, vanaf het moment van het samenstellen van de reis (waarbij er volop ruimte was voor eigen ideeën en er steeds werd meegedacht om het nog beter te maken, dankjewel Anna!) tot de begeleiding tijdens en na de reis. Prachtige en speciale locaties , helemaal in de sfeer van het beleven van een zo authentiek mogelijk ervaring. Tijdens de reis waren ze via de app en telefoon direct beschikbaar om zaken op te lossen. (Zelfs in het weekend op zaterdagavond, dankjewel Nick!) Het enthousiasme en de liefde voor Afrika is in alles voelbaar. Ik ga zeker nog vaker naar Afrika en dat gaat dan zeker via Charlies zijn!

Geweldige communicatie, super begeleiding ter plaatse, super mooie experiences, top accomodaties. Wat wil je nog meer voor een reis naar Afrika. Super betrouwbare partij!

We had a fantastic trip through Namibia! The contact by app during the 4 weeks with Charlie's Travels was quick and informative. We were regularly asked if everything was still to our liking. I can definitely recommend it to everyone.

Fantastische reis gehad. Alles van top tot teen goed verzorgd. De reis was op maat gemaakt voor onze groep door Melle en Ben. Prachtige authentieke locaties en alles ook nog gericht op behoud van natuur en cultuur.
Heerlijk gegeten, alles vers en super klaargemaakt door chef Daniel en hulpchef Steve.
Een fijne chauffeur Jeremiah, die je veilig overal heen bracht van chaotische stad tot 'onbegaanbare' zandweggetjes.
En gids Judy: wat een topper! Zij wist onze groep 40+ dames ontzettend goed te begeleiden, regelde alles en zorgde dat we ons altijd veilig en goed verzorgd voelden. Ze paste moeiteloos het programma iets aan als het nodig was en was ook nog eens, net als de chefs en driver, super gezellig.
Kortom: een organisatie en een team dat wij van harte aanbevelen!

We did a 2 week road-trip around Kenya in Sep/Oct 2023 which was organised by Charlie's Travels. We had the best time and could not be happier how the trip went. Planning and organising the trip itinerary with Charlie's team was super easy and all of our ideas were taken into consideration. It was a mixture of a self-drive road trip starting in Nairobi, heading to Mount Kenya, Lake Naivasha, Hell's Gate, Amboseli National Park and then leaving the car behind to take the train to Taita Hills, Mombasa and Kilifi. We were amazed by how different every part of the country is.
While we were in Kenya, we felt well taken care of and had daily contact with Charlie's team during our trip. The team quickly responded to any questions we had and always gave us valuable advice. The accommodations varied from more basic camps to more luxurious housing and we felt Charlies' Team really listened to us and works with the locals.
We saw places and met people that left us with the most wonderful memories which we still talk about on a routine basis. Without Charlie's team we would have only seen a tiny fraction of the country and all the experiences made it so much more special.
We cannot recommend Charlie's Travels enough, especially if you have any concerns travelling to more remote places in Africa. We never felt unsafe during our trip and the team made sure to provide us with thorough tips ahead of time.
We are already looking forward to our next trip to Uganda also planned by Charlie's Travels.

We enjoyed our trip in South Africa (eastern loop). Definitely recommended! very varied holiday!

Very bad experience: quality of information regarding the trip was bad (no clear and correct communication, mistakes in the program), bad guidance by the travel consultants (she entirely did not understand what we were looking for). Price/quality is totally wrong (very budget accommodations for high prices); we paid almost EUR 5.500 for a trip that costed approximately EUR 3.300 (based on an educated calculation).

Fantastic trip through Kenya with Charlie's. Itinerary was perfectly tailored to our group and it was a good combination of adventure, culture and local interactions! Big shout out to our tour guide Clarence and our cooks Francis & Anthony. These guys made our trip with their never-ending enthusiasm and support.

Last August, we left wity 12 girls for Kenya for 2 weeks and went on a fantastic tour. All the elements that were important to us were covered during our trip! Communication with Charlie's Travels was top notch both prior to and during the trip. Every day we were surprised all over again!!! Thanks to our tour guide Joseph and all the other people involved in the activities, our trip was unforgettable!!!!

We had an amazing trip with Charlies Travels to Kenya. First of all, they really listened to us and suggested a itinarary that matched the expectations of our family (travelling with 3 children). Furthermore, we also went way beyond the touristic highlights and had real contact with the Kenians. For us and our family, it was unforgettable. Brenda was always there when we needed advice. When we had some health issues, she made us call a Dutch doctor resident in Kenia, who then gave us the number of a Kenian pediatrician. It was very reassuring knowing that they were always there for us. It was without any doubt the best trip our family made so far!

Amazing organisation for Africa adventures. We experienced an amazing trip in Kenya. Charlies travels made a personalized trip in line with all our wishes. We experienced a lot of interaction with locals, we definitely went beyond the touristic highlights.
Both before and during the trip the company was always communicating very good. Also all our drivers and guides were very friendly, it was nice to see how they keep a genuine connection with Charlies travels.

We had a beautiful trip ‘made by’ Charlies Travels because of the good advices of this company. All our wishes came true. Beautiful accomodations, special experiences, the best driver ever, and all we hoped for! A trip specially ‘designed’ for us by very nice and helpfull people.

We had a wonderful trip with our two children (8 and 11) through Charlies Travels. We drove ourselves, sat on the back of a motorcycle, accompanied by a ranger, took the train and took the plane. It was a very varied trip where we saw and experienced so many beautiful things. The help along the way from Charlies Travels was very good. We could always ask a question along the way and they responded very quickly.
