I was after long discontinued Denby gourmet plates. I registered my requirement and then 2 years later they emailed me to say they had found/got 3 plates. Paid, and they arrived well packed and in great condition a few days later. Brilliant!

Purchased an eternal beau oval tea canister with lid , it was extremely well wrapped ( bomb proof) had issues with delivery address which was incorrect (?not sure why ) but staff changed very easily with no issues . I have purchased from China search before and have to say they are very efficient and reliable, cannot fault them at all and look forward to purchasing more items in the future with full confidence in the quality of products , fair pricing and quality of customer service.. fab company and excellent packing skills!!! ❤️❤️

Kept in touch after sales just when I needed more fine bone China and so I bought the replacements I needed.

Sold a dinner service. Used 32 newspapers to wrap/pack and stuff the box as advised. Was meant to be collected 12-4.30 by Parcelforce, organised by china search. Parcelforce arrived at 10am?
They then emailed me, a few days later, offering less than half the original offer, saying 15 items arrived damaged/broken. When I queried the poor care Parcelforce had taken with my box I got an email back (from Chinasearch) saying
‘‘ Unfortunately, that is correct. None of the couriers care what's inside of the boxes’’ I’m sure china Search don’t either when they are giving you less than half what they had previously quoted!!! ( after having photos of items before the original quote, and sending photos of 2 chips on plates)
There’s not much choice when you either accept the lowball offer, or have to pay to get your stuff returned, when a load of it’s now broken. *To clarify the lowball offer was what they sell 2 items for, so excluding the damaged/broken items , they still had 27 undamaged items they can sell. But their offer was the rough price that they sell 2 items for. I know they need to make a profit, but that is ridiculous. Very disappointed.

Items are listed for sale on their site, but came back saying not looking to buy. But when questioned on whether any of it was of interest they then offered to purchase 3 items. Offer extremely low considering what they sell for. Poor site

why invite people to offer something that you are inferring you do want to buy and is listed on your website as items of interest to you and then say you have no need for the range...sort out your website and keep it up to date!!!

I have bought from this company before and it is superb! If you’ve lost or broken a piece of much loved vintage china from your set this is the place to go! Excellent shopping experience and I would highly recommend them.

Inherited Denby set from mum 2 yrs ago. Registered for missing pieces: 3 x barrel mugs; 2x ribbed tea cups + saucers. Not notified, but check regularly. Found 4x tea cups in stock. Ordered & paid for - stock moves quickly. Requested they delayed order despatch. All agreed. Today received email item not in stock, only one cup. Apparently data base wrong. Or had they simply not updated for my purchase (quantity did not change!) & sold in the meantime. Offering non ribbed to make up set!!!! Cancelled order & wont be using again. Interestingly, sellers rate them very badly; just wonder how many opportunities are “missed”. Will use larger more reliable reseller.

Purchased replacements for my Royal Doulton dinner service from this company, both directly and via an eBay listing. Efficient process, items arrived when advised, expertly packaged and in vgc as advertised. I’ve also logged a search for other items I would like, should any come into stock. Happy customer

I went through itemising a Noritake dinner set 6878 on the website, because they had the exact dinner set on the website and it was relatively easy to put it on the website, as they had pictures of each piece. Clearly a dinner set they trade in. 12 dinner plates, 12 side plates, 12 saucers.....lots of other pieces. No chips and barely used. Got an email saying not interested in buying. What an absolute waste of time! A company that is meant to specialise in this!

I am so pleased at the new looking condition of the two Denby plates and milk jug that I bought as replacements after breaking the originals.
They were extremely well packed and delivered before the estimated date. Excellent service and I will definitely use Chinasearch again. Thank you.

I bought a vegetable tureen in Midwinter Wild Oats without a lid (I broke my original but still have the lid). The item in stock was marked fair. I did wonder about the quality, but when it arrived, it was in better condition than my other China. Delighted with the purchase which arrived promptly.

We had an old Royal Grafton Majestic dinner service which we wanted to sell as part of a de-clutter. I sourced various options, but it was clear that there is little value in old china services, and the auction option meant packing and transporting to an auction house, for an estimate of £60-70, with no guarantee, and of course 20-30% auction fees.
As a last resort I Googled other options and found Chinasearch.
The service was superb and although they only wanted a few select items I was offered £50. No extra fees. No carriage and a cheques within a few days.
I thoroughly recommend them but would add a few pointers:
Phone them for advice - do they want the china you have? They are a business, not a charity.
Follow their concise online guide for price offers.
Be thorough, fair and honest about the condition - I washed all of ours and rejected two items which I notice had slight colour fading.
Follow their packing guidelines as a minimum - I overpacked them to be avoid any transit damage.
They collected from us and paid with a few days.
Good prices, excellent service and friendly customer service by phone, if you need to speak to someone.

Chinasearch’s focus is on buyers, not sellers. I wish this had been clear to me from the outset and I would have saved myself a lot of time.

I spent several hours preparing a list of items I had to sell from Wedgwood, Portmeirion and Noritake. All these items are hardly used, have never been near a dishwasher and are in excellent condition.

Chinasearch were not interested in making an offer on any of the items. I think the website is misleading - the statement “Unfortunately, we are not able to buy everything that is offered to us” implies a rather higher acceptance rate! It would be more realistic to say “We only buy 5% of items that are offered to us” or “We only make offers on very few items that are offered to us.” People can then decide whether they want to give it a go.

The sad fact of life is that parents’ and grandparents’ tea sets and dinner services are of little interest to anyone these days. I expect Chinasearch is probably a good idea if you’re trying to track down a replacement for a broken plate or two (although I’ve tended to use ebay for this), but my experience, and that of others who have left reviews, suggests it’s a waste of time for sellers.

Yeh! My longed for Denby Harlequin jug arrived this morning! Beautifully packed and in ‘New’ condition, it arrived in 3 days from ordering -on a Bank Holiday too.

I can definitely recommend, and will be using China Search again.

Did not want my late mums royal doulton 'darjeeling' cups and saucers that were immaculate, nor my wedgwood 'aegean' cups and saucers. Nor my large 'duchess' platter, nor royal Worcester casserole dish. Wedgwood soup plates. All immaculate. Would be useful to know what they do buy, instead of wasting people's time.

I have been searching for a certain Portmeirion Jug for ages so it was with great delight when I received a phone call from Chinasearch to say they had found one! After purchase, the parcel arrived on time and the jug was well wrapped and perfect. Thank you so much Chinasearch.

Am rather confused - I have contacted this company a couple of times with regards to selling items and they have been very uninterested- yet each time on their website they have either SOLD OUT or Search for the very items I have offered!
