This organisation is Ineffective
This organisation appears to be completely ineffective.
In May 2020 my wife & I completed the purchase of a property: part commercial, part residential; we purchased the freehold of the whole property and the leasehold of the residential flat therein.
The freehold has been transferred into our name, but the conveyancers were negligent and failed to transfer (or cancel) the lease, which still shows the vendor as the owner, now 15 months later. We apparently don't seem to own the flat we live in and purchased according to the title deeds held by the Land Registry!
In February this year (2021) we complained to the CLC about this and expected them to get the situation resolved. Surely this is something they should be all over.
Sadly, Nothing!
Reading their website this should be something that the CLC can help with, but in reality, they seem to be a complete waste of time.
