Horror levels of service

The level of service, if it can even be called that, at the GP surgery called Copsewood Medical Centre located in Coventry is utterly deplorable. As a recent registrant at this practice and classified as a vulnerable patient due to severe degenerative conditions, I am in dire need of specific treatments to manage my symptoms and slow the progression of my disorders. Despite these treatments being widely prescribed by medical professionals, the practice consistently refuses to provide them.

Despite filing a formal complaint, the response from Copsewood Medical Centre has been consistently inadequate, failing to address the significant concerns I've raised about their substandard service. A recent correspondence from Mrs. Nafisa Suleman was particularly shocking, dismissing the vital treatments I require classifying them as "desires" treatments that cannot be prescribed. This dismissive attitude is appalling, especially considering that the treatment in question is crucial for preventing potentially life-threatening cardiac events, as extensively documented by numerous hospitals and consultants. She also mentioned my stress and frustration indeed I cannot agree and it is in reflection of the dreadful service the practice is providing.

It's deeply troubling that someone in a managerial position within the practice would demonstrate such disregard for patient well-being and medical necessity, effectively violating not only my patient's rights but also fundamental human rights. Furthermore, the practice refuses to refer me to a specialist, exacerbating the situation, a clear action of discrimination, in short word my access to the NHS is completely denied.

My communication with Dr. Amoka has yielded no improvement in the abysmal service provided by the practice thus far. It begs the question: what is the purpose of being registered with a GP if, even in the face of vulnerability, basic services are withheld? Even when fortunate enough to secure a face-to-face appointment (no easy feat), there's a palpable lack of compassion and empathy, leaving patients feeling like burdens rather than individuals in need of care.

On 25.03.24, I requested to access my medical files. The surgery initially invited me to obtain the medical files online, but unfortunately, only a small amount of files are there, therefore, I have again invited the medical centre to provide me with the medical files. The medical centre said that the files had not yet been from the previous GP and invited me to chase them by contacting the previous GP. I am not surprised if my medical files have been thrown in the bin. It is enough to show the incompetency and impertinence of this surgery and the abuse they are constantly and repeatedly exercising against vulnerable patients.

Given the gravity of this situation, I am compelled to report these egregious violations to the appropriate regulatory authorities and demand a thorough investigation to rectify these failures promptly. The correspondence documenting my experiences with the practice will also be shared on a website I am developing and disseminated to the press. This level of neglect and incompetence is simply unacceptable.

—it's nothing short of a disgrace.....
