Good product and installation, but extremely poor sales process.
The product and installation was very good, but the sales process was poor.
The installation was hassle free and the 2 installers were polite, methodical and delivered a quality product. However, the sales experience was not good.
1. We selected an outward opening stable door from the catalogue and the salesman input same into the website to create our sales agreement. However, to our great disappointment, a few days later we were informed there was an error and that Coral do not supply outward opening stable doors.
2. We were thinking of having a door in a particular shade of yellow, but were concerned the catalogue image was not a true representation. We were informed that we could visit the nearest showroom, which is a 45 minute drive away and they would have specimens of the colour we could see. Having checked the Coral website for opening times of their showrooms we planned to arrive at least 30 minutes before it was due to close. When we arrived not only were we informed they were closing up for the day, but that the showroom does not have examples of the various colours. This was a wasted 1.5 hour drive.
3. We were interested in taking advantage of Coral's interest free finance package. But, when it came to the point in the online process to sign-up for the agreement neither Coral's sales team, nor the finance company, were able to provide the necessary link to complete the process. We left Coral to try and sort out the problem but, in the absence of a call back after a couple of days, we decided to cancel the finance arrangement and pay in full. Again, more wasted time on our part and a disappointing experience.
Despite these 3 issues in the sales process we did not receive any heartfelt apology, nor any goodwill gesture for the inconvenience and incurred petrol cost.

We had actually reviewed our processes based on your experience and made changes to all 3 of the root causes of your issues and prevent anyone else from experiencing this.
For the stable door, this has been removed from our software to prevent this being offered to any other customers.
The colour, we have a huge variety of colours and while that is excellent news for our customers options it has made it hard to enable our sales people to show all colours, we now have devised new small samples of all the colours on correct materials for our sales people to demonstrate.
Finally on the finance, we had just introduced a new finance lender when you made your order and unfortunately they needed further information we hadn't taken, we have updated our process to make sure this is much easier for customers to navigate moving forward.
Finally once more I want to apologise again for this, but hopefully you can see we take our whole customer experience seriously and have jumped on these lapses swiftly. A member of our senior management team will be in touch to discuss this with you.

Good quality workmanship 2 doors and 2…
Good quality workmanship 2 doors and 2 french doors on the hottest day of the year, all done in one day, supplied cold drinks etc but they did not stop, very pleasant too.
I was disappointed that I rushed to get my order in to take advantage of the 30% discount to find that 3 days later their new discount advertised was “up to 50%”. But after emailing and phoning them I was told there was nothing they could do. It hasn’t put me off I would use this company again if needed.

Love my new doors!
The two men who fitted my doors & window were efficient, pleasant & polite. The new items were fitted to the existing structures very neatly - and they tidied up after themselves! They also managed to complete the installations quicker than I expected. I am very pleased with the quality & security of the products.

They have put new windows in my house…
They have put new windows in my house and 6 months later had them back to put a new window in my garage. Both excellent jobs.They are polite and curtious when I ring up and very helpful.

I would recommend this company with high regard, from when John came to look and measure my door, gave me a quote the next day, surveyed the door the following week and with days the door was fitted, Adam came to fit the door he had a few hiccups when he was doing this but he was a up most professional in completing the door, the quality of the fitting was great and the service over all by coral was great and the price was comparable with other quotes I had, glad I went with Coral, thankyou

Roofline Review!
Recently had our roofline done by Coral (we didnt know they did rooflines) The whole process was fab - Charles came out to quote us the day after we called. He didnt rush our decision and went through the whole process with us. Unfortunately, we had nesting birds in the soffits, after agreeing a date. The admin team were more than happy to delay the fitting until the birds had gone - they did this twice for us, as they stayed slightly longer than expected! When it came to the days before, we were notified directly by the scaffolders when they would arrive. The fitting was delayed due to a run over on another job, but we were updated regularly by the team. Lewis (our Installations Manager) along with Andy and Tyler (fitters) kept us notified of where they were with the job (Neither of us were at home while the roofline was being replaced) and both Andy and Tyler were incredibly helpful and approachable. It was a breath of fresh air to have workmen who were friendly and happy to help, and a team behind the scenes that were happy to delay due to unforseen circumstances. We would highly recommend Coral.

I gave Coral the benefit of the doubt in 2023. After this experience, I feel obliged to warn others.
Coral fitted two doors at my home in August 2023. I did not review them then because, although the workmanship was poor and caused considerable disruption, most issues were eventually dealt with once their Managing Director became involved. I accept that things go wrong, so I left it there.
This time, however, oh boy, do I feel aggrieved. The service was terrible, the attitude defensive and confrontational, and one response from their Service Manager seemed designed to anger an already frustrated customer further. The original installation was shoddy. There were gaps around the door, frame damage, and the door stuck and was difficult to adjust. I lost a day for fitting and another for remedial work, with no compensation.
We have maintained the doors every few months since installation. We even removed and carefully refitted the front door once to get a sofa into the house, so we are familiar with the hinges. The only component ever changed on the affected door was the euro-cylinder, replaced by a locksmith after keys and the address were stolen. Nothing else was altered.
This summer, at about 2am, the door suddenly would not open. Somebody inside had to open a window so we could climb through. We eventually got it open and had to bodge it closed to keep the house secure.
We then took a day off work for an engineer booked for Wednesday 22 July. Nobody arrived. There was no call, warning or update. Coral admitted in writing:
“Unfortunately due to an error your appointment was accidently missed off the engineers planner and therefore we were not aware of the appointment.”
That is Coral’s own admission. Yet instead of urgently attending to the customer they had already failed, they told us nobody would come until Monday, costing us another working day.
When I challenged their claim that this was being treated as a priority, the Service Manager replied:
“With all due respect, although you may not feel like you have been given priority I can assure you, you have.”
That aggressive, patronising response perfectly sums up Coral’s attitude. No, we had not been given priority. Coral missed the appointment through its own error, gave no warning, wasted a day of our time and then placed us into the next convenient space in its diary. Telling a customer they have been prioritised does not make it true.
Priority would have meant acknowledging the failure and attending urgently. Instead, Coral quoted its terms and conditions to explain why it would not compensate us for lost wages. Coral made the mistake. We carried the cost.
When the engineer eventually attended, he replaced the complete locking strip and day-latch mechanism, plus the receiving strip in the frame. He reused the euro-cylinder, confirming it was not the failed component. The door now works reasonably, although I would not call it perfect.
More concerningly, he identified a missing retaining screw in the top frame plate and six missing grub screws across all three hinges. We have never removed those screws and had never seen them fitted. The engineer insisted they were installed by the manufacturer. If so, where did they go? They were either absent from installation or removed during Coral’s work.
The engineer stressed that the euro-cylinder was not supplied by Coral, despite reusing it and replacing Coral’s actual locking mechanism. He was snarly, dismissive and appeared determined to show that none of this could possibly be Coral’s fault.
We followed the suggested maintenance every few months, so lack of maintenance does not explain a failed locking mechanism, a threaded fixing or six missing hinge screws.
I gave Coral the benefit of the doubt in 2023. After this experience, I cannot remain silent and let others assume they will receive good service when something goes wrong.
I would not use Coral again.

Having reviewed your case, we can confirm that we attended a door which had been removed and reinstalled by a third party. This work breaches the terms of our warranty. In addition, the lock had also been replaced by a third party, which further invalidates the warranty.
Despite the warranty being void, we attended the property and rectified the issues with the door free of charge, as a gesture of goodwill.
We did experience an issue with our scheduling system, which meant we had to reschedule your appointment. However, the appointment was rearranged for just two working days later. As the warranty had already been voided, and there were multiple occupants at the property as well as other points of access, we did not consider there to be a significant security risk during this short delay.
As the door has been removed and reinstalled by a third party, we cannot comment on the quality of that installation or accept responsibility for any issues arising from it. Unfortunately, we are also unable to provide any future warranty coverage for this product.
We believe we have gone above and beyond what would normally be expected by carrying out repairs free of charge on a product that is no longer covered by warranty.
