Really it was a first class experience from beginning to end. I dealt with the Shawlands office and every member was extremely professional. I also appreciated the honestly in dealing with our purchase and sale. I was kept up to date with everything either by email or phone. Been over 30 years since I have moved, so not aware of current procedures but no question was considered irrelevant nor ridiculous. Greg and Steph helped me through every step of the way and were willing to go the extra mile.

Corum Shawlands helped me find the perfect property in the Southside of Glasgow. It took some time,however, the team in the office at every level had a very clear idea of what I was looking for and made every effort to match my criteria. Always polite, attentive and supportive, I would highly recommend Corum as an estate agent.

People aren’t wrong when they say buying a house is one of the most stressful things you can do, but thanks to Steph, Alastair, and the fantastic team at Corum in Shawlands, the whole process felt much easier and even enjoyable (at times)! From the very beginning, they were incredibly supportive and proactive, always ready to answer questions and guide us through every step.

Their market knowledge is second to none, and was invaluable and reassuring throughout. When they helped us find and secure our new house, they took so much stress out of the process and made the experience seamless.

Recently purchased a property that was sold by Corum Shawlands. I’ll be careful not to do that again.

I viewed a property that had been on the market for a month.I ended up placing an offer that was accepted, and everything was great for a couple weeks. I had a move in date and got my place on the market.

Then my solicitor contacted me to tell me the sellers were not the registered owners. The property had been put on the market by someone who didn’t own the place. And no one at the estate agents had thought to confirm or do a land title search. The sellers hadn’t filed for probate. So the legal process to become the owners hadn’t even been initiated despite it now being six weeks since the property was listed. Probate takes anywhere from 3 months to a year to compete.
I no longer had a move in date and my sale was in jeopardy. The staff at the office then told me it was okay because I could just move in with my parents. No sorry.

I was told probate should complete either at the end of December or the beginning of January. So the last working week before Christmas I called the office to see if they had any update. It had been a month since I had last been in contact. Karen answered the phone and was extremely rude. Told me to stop calling, huffing down the phone at me. She said that I shouldn’t worry about having no where to live when my flat sold because I could just live with my parents until probate and the rest of the process completed. At no point had I told them that I was planning on doing this.

Fast forward and I got the keys. The flat was filthy. The sellers clearly never cleaned a day in their life, and that was just the cherry on the top of buying through Corum.

Corum Ayr were recommended to me and I am so glad I used them. After initially contacting them I received a visit from Barrie who gave me a rundown on what they would do. They then organised everything, photographer, home report etc
When the house was put on the market Lindsey came round to discuss viewings and was so positive about everything, she made me feel confident in what was achievable. Lindsey was extremely supportive through the whole process. Gillian too deserves a mention for great communication through emails and phone calls. This resulted in the property selling for a price I was very happy with. Overall a fantastic performance by the whole team. I highly recommend them.

Promised the world and didn’t deliver. Exceptionally poor service from Gavin who took on our listing and then vanished with no follow up even following several complaints. And only then did we get an email blaming another estate agent ( Clyde ) for trying to steal his listing, the most bizarre and unprofessional exchange I have ever had with someone who should be treating me , the client , as an important asset.
A face to face visit to the Bearsden branch saw them promise me their best attention and then call me by the wrong name as I left, never again would I use this company. I have to give a positive shoutout however to Tracy who was fabulous and did do her best to help us.
Would i recommend ? Absolutely not.
Gavin- the work doesn’t end when uou take on a listing. You need to be visible , present and make your clients feel like you actually care , with the benefit of hindsight i wish I had used Clyde x

Corum Property Ayr were exceptional in selling my property in Alloway. The staff went above and beyond and gave professional advice to assist in the selling of the house. I would recommend them to any prospective property seller.

My experience with the glasgow west end team is that they sell things quickly without many viewings. This makes their lives easier but won’t get sellers the best price without more folks viewing and making offers. One week is not long enough for a property to be on the market - it’s not good for buyers or sellers. Who is it good for? CORUM.

Their photographer is excellent. None of this close up nonsense you get with other companies! Their website is annoying as it’s hard to see what’s actually for sale.

Corum Bearsden sold our property in October. From the initial meeting with Gavin to completion they were professional, informative and couldn’t do enough to achieve the best outcome for us. A particular thank you goes to Linda from the Bearsden office and Sandra from the Clarkston office. Both girls advised us, explained the process and kept us informed at every step with Sandra going above and beyond. Barrie was not only incredibly professional and knowledgeable but also compassionate and supportive throughout the entire process. He made what could have been a stressful experience feel easy. Barrie provided expert advice on how to present my mother’s home for sale, ensuring we got the best possible price. His photos were excellent. On top of that, when it came to buying my new home, he went above and beyond, offering great tips on remodelling. Refused to give us viewings when we told them we still had a property to sell. Viewing was scheduled for over a week away but the seller accepted an offer the first day of viewings. Even though we were told the company is very busy and couldn't arrange the viewings any earlier.

Well well, I wished I had read this before instructing AYR corum. Clearly all branches work independently of each other so I cannot comment on Corum in general. We have an ongoing complaint with the Estate agency ombudsman. Essentially they lost us a sale to a cash buyer very early in the process. This was due to incompetence , staff being off sick and poor management in the office. Of course they deny any negligence now the house HAS sold and they have their commission. NEVER AGAIN.

From the first telephone enquiry, the valuation provided by Barrie Gilchrist who was both professional and approachable with any queries we had, to the final administration covered by Lindsey Dunsmuir, we received excellent service. We never felt we were troubling them with phonecalls and each stage of the selling of our home and purchase of new one was met with patience and kindness. Thank you Corum staff.

Moved to Corum (Troon) after a bad experience with another EA.

The difference was night and day, considering we were selling at the high end of the market (450k - 500k)

ALL the staff were extremely professional & attentive at all times and the quality of interested viewers was very high reflected in our achieved price for our period home.

I would recommend Corum to any & everyone especially if you’re selling at the top end of the market.
