I called three transmission shop's; Aamco after their "diagnosis"of the problem insisted I replace the tranny at a cost of $3700. The second shop told me he thought I didn't need a new tranny and to try a tune-up first( he was right!!) and Cottman said if I need a new tranny, they could install for over $1000 LESS THAN AAMCO!! That got my attention! After taking the vehicle to Cottman, they told me I DIDN'T NEED A NEW TRANNY but rather a tune-up and to replace a couple of worn parts- which they did for a very reasonable price!!!👍👍😀 I SAVED OVER $2000 by using Cottman!!! SHAME ON YOU AAMCO!!! You'll NEVER get another dime from me!!! Thank you Cottman for being HONEST!! You have my respect and future business!!!

The estimate was lower than the final price. The repair of a wire that was chewed thru at $199 was a bit high. For sametype of problems I would come back. For a major rebuild I would get a second cost estimate.

GREAT SERVICE

We were in the area from out of state, helping a relative, when the transmission developed problems. We needed the car repaired that day so that we could return home. Mark was very understanding and helpful. He got back to us with the problem at the quoted time and completed the repairs within a couple of hours. They were very busy that day so it was much appreciated. The price was reasonable, the service is excellent, and we would highly recommend this shop.
