Generous OBC but lousy followup

They may give generous OBC but I would not recommend them to others based on the difficulty in getting follow up service after the booking is made. You are not supposed to contact the originating agent (though I think loyal customers may do this). Instead you deal with a phone option that never picks up. You are given the option to leave message or email them. Almost never get same day service. They do not have enough customer service agents to handle the large volume of follow up requests in a reasonable timeframe. Great service prior to booking but lousy after that…

Crucon always saves us money.

We have used Crucon, now called Vacation group for about 15 years. We have always had great service, and great prices. We usually book cruise on board, and have it sent to Crucon/Vacation group. They always have a group rate that we get added to
Sometimes they lower price, but always give additional on board credit of several hundred dollars. I will agree that you can't call their number and get a agent, but I either leave message or email with my contact info and they always call back. I'm not sure what other people are doing that say they can't contact them in complaints. It may not be same day, but they have always called me back.

they do have good pricing but watch what they say they will include that they actually include it.

they do have good pricing, but it comes with a cost. You really can never talk to anybody on the phone you need to email and wait a day or two to get a response. Make sure you watch what perks they promise and then deliver. Last cruise was booked with prepaid gratuities over the thanksgiving day deals. Well they forgot to pay those so no I am dealing with getting that refunded. They promised a refund in 14 business days but nothing yet at 16 days so now it is back to the days of emails to try to get the 250 some dollars refunded.

Book with someone else. Anyone else.

They give pricing that is wrong, give credits that don't show up just to make the sale, are next to impossible to get hold of and after purchase support is non-existent.
Take your money elsewhere.

I have used Crucon for 15 years and they were great...until they weren't. They do not answer emails and are very difficult to reach by phone. Will look for an agency that answers their phones.

We have used CruCon for years and…

We have used CruCon for years and wouldn't use anyone else, especially during their sales! My fellow passengers can't believe how much on-board credit that we received from them!
I have read the reviews on them and believe that most were caused by Covid, From what I understand, they have either bought or merged with another company and the service is much better, i.e., I wanted to change my cabin and heard back from them within a day.

I also want to give kudos to Flights By Celebrity. Our original airline canceled our paid flight and Celebrity "fought" with another airline to give us the the same class without additional charge, which would have been quite a bit more!

We have used CruCon for years and they have definitely gone downhill. I guess they lost a lot of people during the pandemic when no one was booking cruises. I sent in 2 inquiries last Sunday, called them on Wednesday, did not get a call back until Friday afternoon and now they are closed Sat, Sun, Monday for the holiday weekend. They have these huge sales throughout the year but you can’t get through to find out the details.

No response via phone or email

Pretty much just reaffirming the frustration that everyone else is feeling. Got their email for a Memorial Day preview sale 5/22-24. I find out I have to register, and would receive instructions on 5/22. Well, it's 5/23 and I haven't gotten anything. Registering multiple times does not change the outcome, Can't look at the preview sale without the right link. Tried calling, but Sales message says leave a message, they'll call me back in 3-5 days. Customer service message says, can't talk now but please send an email--well, we know from other comments that that that won't be returned. So I'm missing out on this much heralded pre-sale. Apparently, they have plenty of people to plan their email marketing, but no one to answer emails or the phone. In the meantime, I booked my $2,400 cruise at an online agency who had great prices and actually answered the phone promptly.

Do not use!

Like others, have used CruCon for years to book cruises. In the last 6-8 months they have, for all practical purposes, disappeared. There is NO response to emails and can't call them.
It is like pulling teeth to get an acknowledgement of a reservation. Even the cruise lines can't get a hold of them. We have 5 cruises booked through them, several future cruise credits pending and zero response! I seriously doubt they will remain in business.

I have used Crucon Outlet for years and have booked many cruises through them. Prior to the pandemic they were ok, not the best but their perks outweighed their customer service. But now you cannot talk to a person, they say leave an email. I have left messages and emails to no avail. I leave for my cruise in a week and feel very frustrated, the cruise company says talk to your travel agent, but I can’t!

Terrible customer service since Covid. Days to get hold of somebody to address changes in cruise schedule. Someone calls you and if you miss them then play phone tag!! They give you a general number to call them back (give me your extension!!!). Do not use!!

Horrible Customer Service

CruCon Cruise Outlet has absolutely horrible customer service. They neither answer their phones, nor respond promptly to emails. The only time I received a response within their "3-5 business days" was when I needed to update my credit card to cover the cost of a reservation I made prior to COVID (lift and shifted). One example of their poor customer service...Regarding a refund for a cruise line cancelled sailing, I emailed twice and called twice in about a 60 day period and never got any response from CruCon. I finally called the cruise line to try to get a refund. The cruise line, RCCL, said they could not help me because I booked through a travel agent. I explained the situation. RCCL called CruCon. Still no response from CruCon. After waiting another 3-5 business days for CruCon's response (that never came), I called my credit card company to reverse the charges. CruCon had just posted my refund that day. This process started on 06/06/2021, and ended on 08/29/2021. I have two other personal examples of their lack of customer service, but you get the picture. I have no plans to book with CruCon in the future. There are other cruise outlet travel agencies with fine customer service, like Vacation to Go and Cruise.com.

Booking cruises with this agency is one of the worst decisions I have made. I am an avid traveler and cruiser and have cruised for more years than I want to admit. If you don't mind leaving a message (I have been unable to call and get someone) and having them get back to you in ? to 5 days as stated by their recorded message great for you. As most travelers know prices are time sensitive, rooms are time sensitive, and answers to questions are time sensitive. By the time they get back to you in five days or ? your room will be gone and the likely hood of a price change for more will have occurred. Check out BBB.org for all the negative reviews there as well. I would never recommend this agency and the $50.00 onboard depending on price isn't worth the lack of service and help when you need it. Go elsewhere!

We loved our Hawaiian cruise

We loved our Hawaiian cruise. CruCon helped make it a good cruise thanks to OBC and gratuities and drink package! I have used CruCon for many years and will continue to use them, and in fact I’m working with one of their sales reps at the present time on an Alaska cruisetour. Don’t hesitate using CruCon Travel Agency.
